The House on Bute (Fircliff), sleeps 14, sea views

RichardRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fircliff was a fabulous place for our family get together. The house is very well equipped and worked brilliantly for our group of 11. There’s plenty of room for everyone to have their own space if needed and two nice rooms to meet up for meals and socialising. Everyone had a really great time and we wouldn’t hesitate to go there again. Many thanks to Lucy & Ed

St Blanes House, Large, Big, Family, Party House

HelenRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We had the most fantastic week at St Blane's House and couldn't have been happier with everything. The house was absolutely amazing, with so much space for all our family, and every single thing we could possibly have wanted - just incredibly well thought through, from the amazing toys in the games room, the pool table, darts, table tennis, etc., to the bikes and skateboards, extra dog leads, wetsuits, kitchen bits and bobs, random bits (reading glasses, nail varnish remover, eye masks - literally everything we needed, we found it!). The bedrooms were all really wonderful and comfortable, and the communal areas particularly special - sitting in the bar area together really felt like hanging out in our own pub. The views across the bay were so beautiful and we had a wonderful time paddle boarding and swimming in front of the house. Helen's information was so helpful and communication so good, with quick response to any queries. Such a perfect week, thank you so much!

2 bedroom recently renovated barn with sea views

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our stay here. The cottage itself is beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice- cosy and thoughtfully converted. The location was perfect for us, quiet and surrounded by countryside but only a 5 min drive to the nearest town and nearby to family we were visiting in the local area. We were travelling with our toddler son and dog, so the fireguard and stair gates provided were much appreciated! We felt really relaxed for our whole stay and David was friendly and helpful. We would love to return and stay again.

Loch View House Glenstriven Estate

MariamRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had the most wonderful stay at Loch View House! The location is incredibly serene and scenic and the house itself is gorgeous with really thoughtful touches! The place was big enough to host all 12 of us, including kids and each room is perfectly decorated! Ema was incredibly friendly and on hand to help too! We’ve made some incredible memories that we’ll treasure forever.

Dave's House

KayRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a great place to stay. We had a problem sorting out the TV so texted David and he talked us through it brilliantly. Hob was exactly the same as ours. Dishwasher easy to use. Shower was similar to ours so didn't need an engineering degree to work it. There was everything you could need for a stay. Very clean and comfortable.

Balmory Stables North, luxury stable conversion

Suzanne Rating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Balmory Stables. The house exceeded our expectations, with peaceful surroundings and lots of space for the whole family to enjoy, including a garden. It felt lovely and secluded and yet was a short drive from Rothesay and all of the amenities there. The wood burning stove was an added bonus, and made the place feel very homely. Ulrike was a wonderful and very thoughtful host, who even brought some games and toys along so that our young children had something to play with on rainy days. Overall, Balmory Stables is a fantastic place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

Good location as we went to the Open at Troon. Exactly what we wanted and has everything you need. Good entertainment in the venues bar area. The Chartroom Restaurant at Kip Marina was a very good restaurant with a good selection of food for all the family.

Sandylands Caravan Park

MarliesRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A really lovely caravan, very comfortable, with everything you could need. The kitchen has a great stove and all the small appliances. The lounge is a great place to relax. I loved that there are two bathrooms. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, and the bedding was good. No towels, so bring your own. We did not use any of the facilities on the park as we were travelling around all day. However, the people seemed friendly and the park is well maintained. Could use some trees though. Saltcoats is a lovely place and so are many of the other towns around. We loved our stay and Steven is a great host.

Luxurious mountain retreat lodge Hunters Quay

CallyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was such a lovely stay for my sons 6th birthday. Amenities were off peak which weren’t stated in the description however the place spoke for itself and ended up being a lovely off grid stay for a few days. Also visited Pucks Glen. You should include that into your book, it’s stunning and 10mins away from the cabin. Greeted to birds and horses each morning, I look forward to returning.

Cabin retreat in Wemyss Bay

AndyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The lodge was great. Fantastic sized decking for eating etc. 2 parking spaces for cars. Comfortable living area with TV and some games and toys for the kids. The kitchen was well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, everything you’d really need for a self catering holiday. A nice big gas hob with 5 burners and an electric oven. Also a dishwasher. A separate fridge and freezer with good space inside both. Bedrooms and bathrooms are good sized. The lodge was lovely and clean and obviously kept to a high standard. The only small downside was the in lodge WiFi could be a bit in and out. Although we were there on a school holiday weekend when the park was very busy. The caravan park is probably our favourite. It’s definitely the least “packed” in with people. So everything is never really that busy. If you visit try to take a day trip with the ferry at across from the entrance to the park. Not much in Rothesay but it’s a lovely trip/day out.

Hi the caravan as lovely as advertised however we were unaware that the pub amusements, pool, etc could only be used by ‘blue pass’ holders. We arrived after six when office was closed. Disappointed seven year old … saved us a fortune though thanks Gemma

Renovated farm cottage property + indoor fireplace

ImkeRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved staying at Pauline’s cottage. It was the first stop on our roadtrip through the Highlands. It’s a remote area with not a lot of facilities, but that was no problem at all. We liked the quiet and privacy and our dog loved it as well, especially the beautiful walks in the area 😄 thank you for hosting us Pauline!

Luxury Island Hideaway, Seaview Cottage - Hot Tub

NatalieRating, 5 stars15 months ago
We had a gorgeous few days at Seaview cottage. The most beautiful view to wake up to and we were so lucky with the weather. It was beautiful. We played cards and ate outside at the table and the hot tub was fabulous. The little disposable bbq left for us to use (inside the kettle bbq) was a lovely extra. The only thing lacking for me was a freezer compartment for ice cubes but I did work out that if I put the fridge to very cold and bought a bag of ice it kept it well frozen! We didn’t use the jacuzzi bath except for showers so can’t comment on that but it looked fab. The bed was comfortable with lots of choice of pillows. Everything was perfectly as described. The island is peaceful and there’s not much going on but that was fine for us. We hired e-bikes from bike bute and had a great time exploring the island. Loved our stay and hope to return soon. Highly recommend this place! 5 star.

Harris's cabin

IanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely cabin, 3 bedrooms (1 single, 1 twin and 1 double), nice living area with beautiful view over the loch, well equipped kitchen, really nice outside decked area. The only slight problem was the bathroom door which sometimes jammed but that's only a minor quibble, overall a lovely place to stay for a short break or a longer stay to explore the area.
