Cottage vacation rentals in Rothesay

Flew in from Toronto, Canada to this beautiful home away from home. Barbara, Graeme (and Rosie) were extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. The cottage has everything you need. Lovely, comfortable linens and beds, clean and modern bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, and great and private hot tub. The location is very rural, but easy to find with google maps. The town of Kilburnie is close by with a grocery store, gas station and pharmacy among other amenities.

Excellent accommodation, extremely well appointed and Marcin was very communicative and helpful. We took our two dogs and encountered no issues.

Booked this last minute for my friends birthday and we are so glad we did!. Place was spotless and the host is so friendly she made us feel at home☺️ will definitely be back this is my second time here . Love it

This is the second visit for us it a wee hidden jem. We thought it could not get any better the exra personal touches spot on thought of everything. We enjoyed our stay very much. A nice, quiet getaway in the countryside, perfect for unwinding and down time

Super cottage, perfect for enabling a wonderful stay on Arran. Easy access to both the mainland and all that Arran affords. The cottage was full of character and charm and was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. It had everything we could possibly need, was extremely clean and well equipped.

Thankyou so much for an absolutely perfect stay from start to finish. Great communication and excellent service all round, stayed 4 nights and only managed to explore a fraction of the glorious scenery. A beautiful gem of a find. Everything you could need for your getaway is here. There is a large comfy bedroom, spacious and comfortable cosy open plan kitchen/living room, and a spotless bathroom. Our fur-babies were made very welcome, and were encouraged to use the large, secure garden. Ronnie and Marjorie were very gracious, helpful hosts.

Wow, what a gem of a place! We absolutely loved our stay at Jo's cottage. The view, the balcony, the cosiness of the space (not to mention the original features!) and the unique, yet easily accessible location, made for a fantastic holiday. We filled our days exploring the local area, but also made sure to spend time relaxing on the balcony. Our dog and our son also loved exploring the beach right in front of the cottage. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fencefoot Farm and were only sorry we didn’t meet Bernard. The restaurant on the same site was absolutely brilliant, delicious fresh food and extremely good value. The house is a little noisy being close to the main road, but we did know that in advance, and the garden was enclosed and safe for our dogs. We had a good 4 days with the most amazing sunny spring weather

We had a wonderful few days here in this characterful property, loved the uniqueness of it. The showers are amazing, really powerful. Such a peaceful place and fantastic to see the red squirrels feeding on some nuts and seeds we left out.

Relaxing stay in a fabulous location. Annette and Moris were great hosts. The food at the Bothy is delicious and well worth a visit. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful place!!

We would definitely recommend staying at the Coachman's Cottage. It was everything we could ask for and we all had a great time. Puck's Glen is lovely for a walk with the dogs and finishing up at Benmore Gardens.

Cottage just as described / pictured, in the heart of beautiful Luss on the Bonnie Banks. Handy for a quick dip in the Loch and easy walking distance to restaurants. Superb location. Fantastic outdoor garden space also.

Lovely cottage in beautiful location with fantastic views. Spacious and well-equipped, excellent communication with the hosts. Amazingly peaceful, with a 4,000-year-old stone circle and a totally unspoilt beach with views of the Mull of Kintyre (which we had completely to ourselves three evenings in a row) a stone’s throw away. A really unique property in a unique location.

Petrina was really helpful, the flat was comfortable and homely, couldn’t really fault it. Had a fantastic stay.

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. It had everything we needed for a great stay & was spotless, comfy and had wonderful views of the area. Peaceful, with a lovely cafe/restaurant only a couple of minutes walk away.

Great stay with great views of the surrounding areas!

This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.

This was a wonderful base for my friends and I who attended a birthday celebration in Glasgow. The house was spotlessly clean, warm, well furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped, bathrooms had lots of towels and the beds were super comfortable too! June was an exceptional host. Really helpful, communicative and even offered to leave a hot dinner for us as we had a late arrival on our first evening! Thank you Andy and June for a perfect stay!

Fantastic house in a great setting within walking distance of local amenities. Great base to explore the beautiful Isle of Arran and stunning views. We are a family of 5 and the house was perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable and had all the mod cons. A real home from home. David was easily contactable and responsive. Highly recommend!!!!
