Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Roosevelt Island

We had an excellent stay in NYC. The unit was clean, had great views, great and safe location. Excellent communication-highly recommend. Our family of 4 went the week before Christmas to see the lights, The Rockettes and NYC ballet Nutcracker.

We really enjoyed the pristine and plentiful accommodations that Lavish and Live provided. We felt right at home and safe. We were surrounded by locals restaurants and even a Target that was about a three minute walk. Communication was timely and kind. I added this location to my favorites because this is where we’ll choose to stay whenever we visit Stamford. They did a fantastic job showcasing this penthouse because it’s an exact match online.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ira's apartment. The place was perfect for a weekend near family. The place is very clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and managed well. The apartment is close to food and anything you might need. We stayed here with our 1 year old and there was enough room to put out a pack n play. We definitely plan to book again in the future when visiting family in the area.

The people were super nice. We love the location. A lot of nice such as that I wasn’t expecting like a record player, decanter whiskey, glasses, etc..

Everything was very smooth, very clean and host was always attentive and helpful at all times.

We would stay again!! What a great place! It had everything that we needed. The area was perfect! Restaurants were plentiful and fantastic. There is a grocery store 3 minutes away (walking) where you can get anything you need. Getting to the train was a 15-20 minute walk and we always felt comfortable. Getting into NYC, Times Square took us 30 minutes!! It was a great stay, Thank you.

Marcela was a fabulous host! She is very thoughtful and we had everything we needed. She also responds very quickly. The place was very clean and efficiently organized. It is a true gem. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Marcela!!!!

Ozzie's no-frills Airbnb offers basic amenities and a clean space; it’s perfect if you need a simple, affordable place to stay. Ozzie's place is conveniently located near the Lincoln Tunnel for travel to NYC; the bus line on 60th and JFK, including buses 166 and 128 among others, arrived very frequently (we never waited more than 6 minutes). The Ferry to Port Imperial is also less than a mile away for a scenic route into NYC. Ozzie was responsive, and provided thorough check-in instructions and was able to accommodate our early check-in request. With a large group, and considering Manhattan's ban on short-term rentals, this is the best option for a large group under one roof.

David’s space was perfect for us and also near the train that takes you to the city. We had a great time and would definitely come back again!

Helen is the kindest and most responsive host of the many I’ve dealt with. Richard spent nearly an hour helping us set up video. The apartment is tastefully furnished. The piano is in tune! The location is unbeatable. Services are excellent. Our hosts were absolutely transparent about auxiliary issues like street noise. A great find. Simone

We’d definitely recommend this place- it was perfect. The space was beautiful and we love that he’d even set up a Christmas tree- it felt extra festive. Harris was very kind and helpful- he let me leave my bags for a few hours after checkout so I didn’t have to go to the airport super early. The location was very safe, walkable to great spots in Brooklyn and very easy to take the subway to Manhattan. I’d 100% love to stay here again, when next in New York!

Beautiful place and amazing hosts! Felt right at home and with NYC very close by. A grocery shop right across the street and more just less than 10 mins walking. Easy access and impecable instructions. Highly recommended!

Mohammed and Lubaina’s condo was so comfortable and cozy, and in a perfect location- super easy to drive to restaurants, grocery, etc without the traffic and parking issues of NYC, and also right by the ferry if you want to hop across to the city. Mohammed and Lubaina are probably the best airbnb hosts we’ve ever met- they helped us with parking, made check-in and locating the condo super easy, and were both very easy to communicate with and very kind. on top of all that, they have made sure that the watch my husband left in the condo (🤦‍♀️) is safe and secure….the condo was a perfect place for a weekend getaway and the hosts really go above and beyond. we are so grateful and had such a wonderful experience!

I use Airbnb a lot and let me to you all that Silvia is the best host I’ve ever come across! She was extremely hospitable and helpful, she went out of her way to help us. The place itself is amazing, spacious and comfortable. We literally had everything we needed and there is a good laundrette nearby (laundry warehouse). The drive fits 2 large SUVs comfortably Don’t hesitate when coming to book this place, trust me it’s better than most places in the area!

This place was very comfortable. Exactly as described, the host was very responsive. Great location, I felt safe my entire stay!

The house is amazing. Very spacious and roomy. It was too cold to enjoy the backyard but I can see having some great times back there. The kitchen is very comfortable and offers all the expected amenities. The coffee pot even had both options; drip coffee and K-cup option. The home was even decorated with a Christmas tree as we're in that season. It was a very nice touch. Overall we loved the house. Carlos was very communicative. When we asked for more towels, someone was there the next morning to assist. Carlos also provided helpful restaurant suggestions. Mosst of the towels were very short and not your typical length. But def not a big deal. In general the house was clean. However, we did find what appears to be white dog hair in some rooms. There were also some small roaches in the kitchen. They could have been attracted to some of the food we had on the counters. The neighborhood was very "meh" as there are some projects down the block. No issues but we were wary.

Stan’s place was perfect for the trip. The place was clean, the location was convenient, and there was plenty of space. The extra amenities and friendliness of the host made us feel right at home. I would definitely stay there again.

I can't emphasize enough how responsive Natalia was. If we had a concern, she was on it to ensure it was taken care of. The place was clean and comfortable. My family had fun with the ping ping table etc. Honestly, the only obstacle on our stay at Natalia's place was the upstairs guests on night one playing loud music and night two running up and down. That's not on Natalia though. I reached out to her about the noise and she reached out to the upstairs guests to remind them of house rules. Overall, you won't be disappointed! We would stay there again, happily.

The house is easy to locate and check in was seamless. There is ample space for parking in the driveway for multiple vehicles, many updated amenities and room for a large group. Godfrey was very responsive, accommodating and provided support to any inquiries we had. There are many restaurants and things to do within a short distance to the surrounding areas.

Ayo’s place was a great place to stay and he was responsive when I reached out! The place was clean and felt like home. I enjoyed it and would come and stay again Definitely would recommend!

The Carriage House was awesome. the bedrooms were great and accomodated all of us perfectly. we loved the wet and dry saunas. The family ping pong challenge/tournament continued which was epic. we loved playing with her doggies. Lisa was wonderful. Extremely responsive amd accomodating. will definitely stay again when visiting NYC.
