Pantheon 180 sq.m. Duplex

CatherineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Raffaella's apartment was perfect for our group of 6 adults. Plenty of space for all of us, and we loved the location, 1 minute walk from the Pantheon, on a great little square, with no cars, and plenty of local restaurants, and a fruit/veg market on Saturday mornings. You could step out of the front door and be amongst everything but, at the same time, the double glazing meant it wasn't noisy at night.

A coffee in Rome - Nice apartment in Rome

JacintaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb! Fabia was a wonderful host, she met us at the bus stop and walked us to the location, offering local recommendations and transport instructions on the way. The apartment was just what we needed for the trip: clean, private, good wifi connection, and close to public transportation to the city center. Overall this was a great experience and would definitely recommend booking with Fabia!

Characteristic Charming Loft

MiguelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago

Paola's place has been the best Airbnb accomodation experience of my life so far. Gorgeous apartment, spotless clean and with absolutely everything that you need for a perfect stay in Rome. She goes beyond and makes sure you get local recommendations, clear guides, tips, treats... Staying in the San Lorenzo neighborhood gives you the local feeling, it's peaceful and well connected with Rome highlights. Paola (and sweet Sophia) we can't thank you enough for making our time in your place a real highlight.

Casetta Lupo Serena

Anthony Rating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This apartment was quiet and in a great vibrant location. There was 24-hour supermarket nearby and walking distance from Roma Termini station. The restaurants nearby made us feel part of the local community. The neighborhood has a younger feel, but we never felt unsafe during the evenings. Public transport links (trams and buses) are close and you can access almost everywhere from Roma Termini. We would stay here again when we come back to Rome!

Casale Sant' Angelo Private villa with pool

AnnabelleRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Livios place was a lovely private destination perfect for our family. We were visiting the area for a wedding, and we felt very welcome. The pool was a great way to spend time together and we also had BBQ’s. It is important to have a car - we explored the lake, visiting all of the towns. We had an issue with wifi being in the countryside and also the TV, however Livio was very responsive in attending to this. If we come back to Bracciano area, we will definitely be re-booking with Livio

This was such a great location…right across the street from the colosseum, a grocery store steps away from the front door, and surrounded by many excellent restaurants. We loved the patio and spent many nights sitting out there drinking wine. Our family of 5 was very comfortable and had lots of space.

Da Johnny Suite Industrial

WalidRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Magical Stay! From the moment we arrived, our host went above and beyond to make our Valentine's Day anniversary absolutely unforgettable. The attention to detail was incredible—beautiful rose petals, romantic balloons, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made us feel so special. It was clear that so much love and effort went into setting up the space, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate our love. Not only was the home spotless and beautifully decorated, but our host was also incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. They truly went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel welcome and cared for. If you’re looking for a place that offers both comfort and an extra touch of magic, this is it! We will cherish this experience forever and highly recommend this incredible host to anyone looking for a memorable stay. Thank you for making our special day even more extraordinary!

Rome by FOOT great experience in the heart of Rome

StephenRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Having had 4 nights at Luigi’s place I firstly must thank him for allowing us to stay. The location was amazing, so close to many attractions (Piazza Navona, Pantheon and Vatican to name but three) and the apartment was perfect. We were greeted and shown into the apartment and were always able to contact Luigi or other staff if needed. Everything about the stay was absolutely ideal and I cannot recommend this host and apartment highly enough. I’ve stayed in many different Hotels and apartments and this is right up there. If we are ever back in Rome or have friends planning a trip then I most definitely will recommend they consider Luigi’s apartment. The best. Thanks again Steve, Claire, Eliza and Izzy.

Big 5 Bed 160m2 Colosseum S. Giovanni Rome Air Con

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What an incredible place to stay. The apartment is amazing, so beautifully decorated and furnished, it really feels like a privilege to stay there. The area itself is brilliant, really relaxed with lots of great bars and restaurants within a 10-minute walk, and a supermarket just 5 minutes away. It's about a 20-minute walk to the Collosseum, or a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro. We were in Rome with our young children for the first time, and Andreina's apartment helped to make it a truly memorable holiday. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

BOUTIQUE TRASTEVERE

SzabadosRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I spent four nights in Monica’s and Andrea’s place. I recommend it to solo travelers and couples who want to explore the top attractions in Rome. Bus stop to Termini is 200m so it’s easy to get there. The apartment was larger than I expected, very clean, well equipped. The shower is tiny, not ideal for a larger person, but managable. It’s in an old building and the door lock is a bit complicated, you have to pull the door towards yourself so that the key fit into the lock and then you can open the door. The apartment overlooks to a large wall of a prison, so don’t expect a nice view but this apartment is perfect for explorers who use it as a base not for staying all day inside. Otherwise the place is very quite as the restaurants of Trastevere are some 300 m away. I haven’t met the hosts in person but they gave me very clear instructions on how to get in and were very kind upon check-out.

Your guide to Rome

Welcome to Rome

Rome holds a special type of pizzazz that isn’t replicated anywhere else on the planet. Its ancient roots, dating back long before its official founding in 753 BCE, make it a living history museum of ancient civilization, where the ruins of the landmarks featured in school history textbooks speak to visitors today as much as they did millennia ago to the Romans. That historic city center, surrounded by the Aurelian and Janiculum walls either side of the River Tiber, holds the remnants of a whopping 25,000 sites of historical and environmental importance. Rome is also one of the most vibrant cultural hubs in the world. Whether it’s innovative art institutions, thriving piazzas, or cozy coffee houses, the city’s future is as much of its personality as its past.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Rome

Choosing the best time to visit Rome comes down to personal preference: the warmer months come with huge crowds, meaning you may find long lines and limited tickets around town; if you visit during chillier periods, there’s a more manageable urban flow. The good news about the latter option is that low temperatures seldom drop below freezing and there can be moderate days, even in January and February. May and September may be a sweet spot to catch the best of both worlds. As Rome is an urban hub, it isn’t hard to find a festival or major event in the city at any given time, but annual highlights include the Festival del Verde e del Paesaggio garden festival in May, the VinòForum wine festival in June, the Taste of Roma food festival in September, and the season-long Lungo il Tevere Summer Festival from June through September, with al fresco performances and films at heritage sites.

Top things to do in Rome

Historic Roman Sites

When in Rome, visits to the headline attractions are a requisite. There’s the Colosseum, the Forum, and Vatican City’s Sistine Chapel (opt for skip-the-line access for all three), as well as the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, but the list doesn’t end there. Other ancient landmarks include Palatine Hill, the Baths of Caracalla, Trajan’s Forum, and the Circus Maximus. Perhaps go fountain hopping at the Fiumi and Barcaccia fountains, or tour the piazzas like Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, and Piazza del Popolo. Other highlights include the Villa Borghese house and gardens, the Castel Sant’Angelo fortress, and the grand Altar of the Fatherland monument.

Roman Ghetto

As home to one of the world’s oldest Jewish neighborhoods, this area is filled with impressive sites such as the 19th-century synagogue and the Piazza delle Cinque Scole, as well as tasty eats―don’t miss the Roman-Jewish carciofi alla giudia (deep-fried artichokes) in the area’s eateries. But it’s also a place of reflection, such as at the memorial in Piazza 16 Ottobre 1943.

MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts

As proof that Rome isn’t just about its past, the MAXXI is focused on contemporary creativity of every kind. The site comprises the nation’s first museum of architecture, as well as a modern art museum that includes theater, dance, graphics, and advertising.
