Monthly Rentals in Roan Mountain

Stayed here as a birthday/anniversary trip and really enjoyed our stay! Linville Caverns, Grand Father Mountain, and quite a few other cool mountain areas are not too far away. The Tin Trout is a great local restaurant, if anyone who see’s this review before staying has the chance to, highly recommend it. The house was clean, and wasn’t nearly as hard to get to as I thought it might be. But my little Scion made it up the mountain, so I think about anyone should be good getting there. The area has also recovered a lot from the hurricane. Highly recommend staying here, and definitely explore local areas!

This was a really nice place to get away. The pond was a good place to sit and relax. There are plenty of places all around the pond to sit. A fire pit area is also there. You can fish, catch, and release. I caught a couple of Blue Gil that I couldn't get my hand around, they were huge. The living area was completely private. It is attached to the main house but there is separation. The reclining love seat was very comfortable and great to kick your feet up. There is a small kitchen area that worked fine for us. The walk-in shower alone is a deal maker. It was very roomy and easy to walk into. This was really good for my wife who uses a walker and has difficulty getting around. There are also built in seats. The bedroom was nice. The bed was a queen and comfortable. We came to relax and fish however if you are a hiker, there are plenty of places, including the Appalachian Trail nearby. The host are quick to respond. We even had a chance to talk to Gram, Becky.

This place was such a find! We wanted to do a long weekend in the mountains for my son's birthday and spring break... it was exactly what we needed! The house is so cute and charming. Being at the streamside and the beautiful woods, with mountains all around... definitely hard to leave. Great location, too! If you're into nature, lots to see and explore. We cannot wait to visit again! They also have the cutest little concierge, Pearl, that will escort you up the drive.

I enjoyed my time at this cute tiny house in the middle of the mountains. Location was perfect for my sunrise hike, and there were restaurants and grocery stores close by. Space is very small, but perfect for one person. Any more than two (have to share a bed) isn’t recommended. Overall I greatly enjoyed my stay here and would stay again!
