We loved our stay in the cabin - it was in a very beautiful and peaceful location. The cabin was very comfortable, cosy and the kitchen well-equipped. We enjoyed walks along the loch and cycles on the canal path directly from the cabin. Shops and places to eat require a car journey, but Fort William and Spean Bridge feel close enough that this isn’t a problem. Our stay felt very restful and restorative.

We had a fantastic stay at Ken and Lana's place. It's set up in a very considerate manner, anticipating one's needs. The photos and description don't do justice to just how comfortable and convenient the house really is. Highly recommended!

The property was exactly as described and surpassed our expectations. It was easy to find, the directions are spot on and Rose was very easy to communicate with. Early access was granted which was amazing. Every amenity listed was available and there was a lovely welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us. We would love to book again, we loved the place. Thank you!

We had a really lovely family holiday here. The house is light, spacious and well-equipped with everything guests might need. The location is just stunning, beautiful scenery and we loved being able to spend time at the lake every day. The weather wasn’t great when we visited but had it been a bit warmer the kids would’ve played in the lake quite happily and safely. It’s a beautiful area with loads to do. Val was a very friendly and helpful host.

We had a wonderful time in Susan’s home. The house has been thoughtfully equipped creating a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful environment. We enjoyed a family break with three generations, the rooms were all beautifully designed and really comfortable, many of the rooms en suite. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Susan has provided a very detailed book with local information, guide to the house and all the info we would need. There are bundles of DVDs and games plus a huge Lego box which kept the kids happy. The WiFi is excellent, I was able to work remotely successfully for a few days as well. The location is beautiful, very remote which required a car for most trips via the single track road. A beautiful woodland walk is accessible locally, and nearby foyers has good amenities. I highly recommend this home for a family break in a stunning, Scottish highland getaway.

Gorgeous place. Peaceful, beautiful, stunning location. Amazing views of the loch and hills from the lounge. So cosy with the wood burner on. Lots to do in the surrounding area - we walked in the ancient Caledonian black wood of Rannoch, hiked across Rannoch Moor “the last Scottish wildernesses”, and cycled round the loch. The tea room at Rannoch Train Station is wonderful with great views and delicious food and drink – we loved the hot toddy. Host was very responsive and helpful with questions we had. Highly recommend this AirBnB. Hope to visit again.

Me and my parents booked this place for a night on the way to isle of skye and had the most amazing experience. The airbnb itself was way bigger than expected and was extremely clean. And then the grounds around it were even nicer. I was initially drawn in by the pool but we ended up spending the whole night in the billiard room that’s in the old refractory. The staff at the club is super nice and gives you a tour explaining all the history of the place while showing you to the room. Fort Augustus is also a really cute town to explore. overall the best place I’ve stayed so far in Scotland!!

We loved our stay. It is unique and comfortable. The architecture was beautiful, and our children loved being able to play in the pool. It was the highlight of their vacation, while we enjoyed all the Highlands have to offer. Our key fab wasn't working on the first night into the pool--it is ran separately from the host. We luckily ran into someone who worked there late at night that could help us, otherwise we would have had some really unhappy children. Overall, it was a lovely stay and would absolutely do it again!

Super cute place! Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town, and the parking permit makes a easy to explore further away with a car. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

The Highland Club was like walking back in time. Our stay in the Moat, unit #3, had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay while feeling like we were stepping back in time. The grounds were incredibly beautiful with large trees and open spaces right on the south end of Loch Ness. The location was perfect for all the day trips we planned exploring the Highlands. Our only regret was that we didn’t plan a day to enjoy the serenity of the Highland Club!

Lovely family cottage in beautiful surroundings! Well equipped, comfortable and cosy cottage within the stunning grounds of St Benedict’s abbey. Having the facilities such as the swimming pool, gym and play park for the children was a real bonus. Lovely dog walks nearby and very close to lots of different cafes, restaurants and easy access to walk along the Caledonian canal.

Our stay on the farm exceeded all hopes and expectations. I have no doubts that we will remember our week at Gigina's cottage for the rest of our lives. For a family of 7 adults with 3 couples and an older set of parents, this was the perfect cabin. Having 3 bathrooms was a luxury after cold days hiking in the Highlands so everyone got a hot shower quickly. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook all week long. The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable- they were the comfiest beds we slept in during our 10 day Scotland trip. The location being close to Inverness but private and tucked away along the river couldn't have been better. The proximity to the lochs, hiking, and historical sites was perfect for us. Gigina's cabin truly feels like a home. I loved the cozy furniture and art that truly made it feel lived in. Last- we loved the hot tub. The wood fire was easy to start and usually took 60-90 mins to heat up. We used the hot tub daily and it was a treat!!

Cottage in Spean Bridge, Inverness-shire
4.93 out of 5 average rating, 59 reviewsCharming cottage in a truly special spot
Our stay was absolutely lovely! The loch was just a 5ish minute walk away which made for lots of days on the water with our SUP (that we were able to store in the shed of the property). Shona was very helpful in answering questions and very prompt in replying. The house was lovely and clean. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to adventure in the Highlands. One recommendation for the master bedroom is to plan for road nose in the mornings - bring a fan, ear plugs, or use a white noise machine. But this did no detract from our time there at all and we would stay again in a heart beat.
