A perfect retreat to disconnect Our stay at the Peace Refuge was wonderful. The house is cosy and thoughtful. We arrived at night and a friendly neighbor helped us find it; we recommend arriving with light so as not to get lost, since the access is discreet. The village is small and quiet, a true haven of peace where silence envelops everything. It is important to park with respect: there is a somewhat retired deterrent parking and forest roads where you can leave the car without disturbing. The pellet stove in our room we loved it, bringing warmth on a cold weekend. And the living room, with its fireplace and red armchair, is the perfect corner for endless naps. The snow-capped peaks of the Sierra de Ayllón and Somosierra added a special light to the landscape, and the nights, without noise or light pollution, gave us a spectacular starry sky. We had a perfect bridge!!!! Antonio's home (of the best hosts you can find) was perfect. The kitchen is 100% equipped even with dishwasher, for large families that is perfect. I didn't miss anything The house was clean, the couches with freshly washed covers. The house in winter heats up fast. The marriage mattress (we went 2 people we only used one room) very comfortable. The house is quite peculiar because it is an old building but the house is restored. The view from the room is a pass. Antonio has offered us to stay until late in the afternoon so as not to catch the super traffic jam back from a bridge. To this house we come back for sure because of all the facilities this host gives, for the village that is wonderful and there are plenty of hiking trails to do.

Teresa has put so much love and care into that space, you feel it the moment you walk in. Handwritten helpful notes and recommendations, handmade wooden spoons, handles, hooks, and curtain rails from salvaged wood. Full of colour, and the light in the morning, combined with the silence… this place is heaven. I will definitely be coming back. She also kindly lent me her socks, which I was grateful for, considering how cold the weather was! Thank you so much.

Everything was great!! a wonderful experience for a weekend with friends. The enclave can't be better!
