Booked for a birthday getaway and to reset after Christmas and new years. Felt like a home from home, loved the hotub and the fireplace. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed!

We stayed at Hawthorne Cottage for a long weekend with friends and it was perfect! Beautiful surroundings, close for a day out in Whitby, great social house with the hot tub and spacious rooms. Thanks Michelle and Rupert!

Everything about this venue is lovely. Dog friendly, nice decor inside. 200m walk to a local pub which served great food. The WiFi struggled at times but only a minor issue as there was absolutely no signal on my phone. The only downside to the whole stay is that I was charged £50 to use the hot tub for two nights and I had to heat it myself as it was a natural one. If I was using their electric then fair enough but using extra wood (that I brought just in case) to do it myself, the price felt excessive. Also having spoken to family about some of the places they had stayed the cleaning fee of £50 felt a touch high compared to other properties of similar size. A few minor issues but overall a superb location and would recommend to others.

Loved Dawn’s cottage, ideal for walking the Cleveland Way and for visiting lovely places along the coast. The hot tub was great , it made the holiday.

Just had a fantastic stay at Ivy cottage. Jane was a brilliant host with plenty of info on arrival. The cottage is so comfy and cosy. Added bonus having the games room, will 100% be back. Thanks Jane.

Really enjoyed our stay, beautiful property with everything you need. Log fire with plenty of firewood provided and a spacious hot tub added to a wonderful break. Area is peaceful with lovely walks and a local pub which served nice food. Would definitely recommend. Hosts were responsive and provided a nice welcome pack. All in all perfect.

This place was an absolute dream! Clean, cosy and welcoming. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be booking again in the future. The whole place was immaculate and the hot tub was very clean and a great little bonus. Very relaxing night away.

Our second stay here and we had another wonderful time. The cottage is so cosy and clean and the surroundings are stunning. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again.

Hilda Cottage is exactly as described. It was my fault that I didn't read the bit about the stairs, as they are narrow and steep. Fine for people, but my golden retriever was too scared to go from the lounge to the kitchen. This wasn't a problem as we could just walk around to the kitchen door. (Plus she was wet after being on the beach so we only used the kitchen for her after our initial arrival). It's brilliant to have the car park pass and it's less than 5 minutes walk from the car park. Jane couldn't have been kinder and was totally responsive to my request to arrive a little early. Would definitely book again Great food in The Bay Hotel and the sunrises are fantastic

Jackie took into account that is was my wife's birthday, with a welcoming cake and card. There was plenty of kitchenware and utensils with everything that you would need. This is a truly quaint and lovely cottage within a enviable position in the village. The parking outside the cottage is an added bonus, we would love to come again without any hesitation.

Beautiful little cottage set in a very tranquil village a few steps from the local pub and the local co-op. Annette was a lovely host and was on hand to answer any questions. The cottage was very well equipped and immaculate. Highly recommended and perfect for a small break.

Would definitely stay again Bramblewick was a cosy comfortable cottage,kitchen was well stocked with pans,pots,glasses a decent chopping board and utensils. Enjoyed a nice soak in the bath. Pretty little garden across the path down some steps

Great hosts who were friendly and always accessible if needed. Cottage was just as described other than the bathroom which was palatial so better! In village but just on edge so best of both worlds with access and privacy. Would definitely use again.

Lovely little cottage, in the ideal location for walking. We walked down to Falling Foss and then into Littlebeck, then headed up past Holly Bush farm where I used to stay and holiday as a child. There are many more walks in the area, and you could walk into Whitby if you desired. The cottage had everything we needed, clean and comfortable. Host recommended a nice dog friendly pub in Sneaton which served a good Sunday dinner. All in all a nice peaceful stay to recover from the hustle and hustle of Christmas. Would recommend to others.

We loved our Christmas stay at 5 Florence Terrace. The cottage is absolutely lovely and so cosy with the fire blazing. Jess is a great host, and I really hope we’ll be back.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights just before Christmas as a child free Christmas treat to ourselves. The cottage was very welcoming and cosy. It had been decorated for Christmas too. Helen was a great host with clear communication. She even made sure the fire had been lit before we arrived which was perfect. A wonderful 2 nights in lovely countryside.

Abbey Hill Cottages to high above W. Hartlepool. They are well equipped.Beds are comfortable and so is sitting room furniture. Plenty of hot water. Good shower.Lots of space. I would stay again.

What a great find Wrens Nest is It maybe small but it’s got everything you need including the cosy log burner The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome basket was very thoughtful including treats for the dogs Its well positioned to explore the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and coastline Mathew was very responsive and kindly offered for us to checkout later as there was heavy snow fall We will be back

The cottage itself is stunning and extremely cosy, well equipped, in a quiet, peaceful location, close to beautiful walks. Fran was absolutely amazing as a host. We were involved in a car accident and she offered to pick us up, and allowed us to stay for a very late check out while our transport was arranged. She was so friendly, understanding, kind and accommodating. We still had a lovely mini break, thanks to a great host and a beautiful, traditional cottage. Many thanks!

Carol & Brian were exceptional hosts! The location was perfect for our stay. The cottage was lovely with everything we needed, a grocery down the street and a perfect pet friendly place for our little pooch. The garden is a true asset to the property and even in the winter was quite lovely! Carol was extremely responsive, when we arrived after dark, she even came out with a torch (flashlight) to make sure we could find the cottage and help us get checked in. We didn't have any problems at all and very much enjoyed the amenities and all that the village offered. Very close to Dragonville shopping center so plenty of groceries and anything we needed. We would love to visit Durham again and stay at Dove Cottage!

The house was very good, we slept one night the house was warm and quiet, very good area! A good restaurant in the corner. John was quick response because we rent the last minute the room! Easy to park in front of the house I recommend his house Thank you John

We absolutely adored David's cottage. The interior was super cosy and felt like home. It was the perfect place to come back to after our Yorkshire hikes.

Just had a really lovely weekend stay. Great location, lovely cottage with everything you might need plus lovely Christmas decorations. Toiletries and breakfast essentials were also provided which was a real bonus. Kate was really responsive and friendly and gave some great local recommendations for dinner. Thank you so much.

We had a fabulous short break here. The cottage was perfect for us.. homely and comfortable with everything we needed. The sea views from the bathroom were fantastic, and you’re right on the Cleveland Way path. It is quiet and relaxing, but only a mile and a bit to Staithes if the urge for fish and chips hits! Kathy was a very friendly and responsive host. We loved it, thank you!
