This airbnb is very on theme- it is connected to a pen store, and the interior is an eclectic collection of writing spaces, libraries, and nooks. A modern day hobbit home that opens up through an ivy-strewn secret garden into a cobblestone kitchen, with a tiny staircase that opens to an office room, an adjoining second story porch, and then further in to a dedicated living room, which there connects to a cozy bedroom and bathroom, and - up another flight of stairs- a whole open floor salon on the third floor, complete with a second bed, writer’s desk, and a sample pen and ink station to try your hand at the space’s theme. Amenities are all up to date, despite the historic look and feel. We spent a couple nights watching movies in the den area and really want to come back to York to explore everything this amazing space has to offer :). Right in the heart of the art district, Fig and Barrel is a great whiskey bar for a night out, and murals and galleries abound nearby.
