Monthly Rentals in Randalls and Wards Islands

We stayed for a month in this apartment. It's on the second floor, so it's not too bad a climb. Location is really great, 2 mins away from 96 St subway station, 30 min walk to central park. Bus to park from 96 street comes frequently that brings you to Central Park or the Upper West Side (to shop at Trader Joes). We liked the size of the apartment, which is great for a couple, or cozy for a small family. The bathroom is a bit of a disappointment as the sink is too close to the toilet, and the water pressure is pretty dismal, but overall, it's manageable. Heating is central control, and can be a bit tricky to navigate, but if you're cold, using the standing heaters. There's a Whole Foods nearby so you can get your groceries there, or a Key Foods around the corner. We are fans of Trader Joe's so it's a bit of a hike... Overall, a great place for NYC. Good price. UES is not great for food options but you'll manage... We recommend this place as the host is amazing. Very responsive.

This place is in a great location - it is basically on the border of upper Manhattan and East (Spanish) Harlem. It is an easy commute to and from Manhattan, with short walks from the M15 north -bound (2nd Ave) and south-bound (1st Ave - 3 min walk) bus lines. The subway walk to 116th and Lexington is a bit longer, but doable at 15 min of leisure strolling. Other reviewers have commented on the walk to the train station as "sketchy". As in all things New York, you should be on the alert after 9 PM on any street. I did not feel in any particular danger that I had felt in parts of other boroughs, to include Brooklyn and the Bronx. Jillian is a very proactive and communicative host - she usually responded to us within minutes. The apartment is wonderful and very modernistic. The closet could use a few more hangers. My only wish would be a more solid mattress, but compared to all the positives of this place, I'll still stay there again.

Eliot was an amazing host we stayed 2.5 months with my friend he helped us with everything we needed! We felt like home since day one. Super close to the train station. Our overall experience was amazing and I definitely recommend the place to stay!

This was a lovely little place in a very cute part of Astoria. Still close enough to transit to go do fun things but quiet and relaxed at night. Additionally, Anastasia was an extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful host. Would absolutely stay again!!!!
