Cottage vacation rentals in Powell River

The cabin was a wonderful spot. Quiet and private. Adam was very helpful and responsive. Unfortunately the Wifi was out and Telus couldn't get out to fix it, but that's not on Adam and a risk of staying in a remote area.

Place is great, really tucked away in the dense trees, up a load of stairs from the car parking spot on the road below. Exactly like the descriptions and exactly what we were looking for. Has some really cute touches. And beautiful little bridges over the creek. Barely a 1 min walk over the road to the little local beach. It’s older and showing it a bit in places, but great.

we loved our stay at Joule’s. The place was spacious and comfortable, we relaxed and were able to feel fairly at home. It rained the majority of our stay, and so the hot tub was especially enjoyed with being a perfect way to be outside during a drizzle. The kitchen was equipped for cooking meals, the beds were comfy, and Sechelt was a pleasure! We enjoyed a few trails nearby. Would recommend staying at Joule’s place for a Sunshine Coast getaway!

This was an incredible space for our family to spend time together during the holidays. It was a short 2 minute walk to the beach with incredible views! We saw seals each time we visited the beach. The house was very clean, modern and comfortable. We loved having enough bedrooms for each of our children to have their own space and the common spaces were large and comfortable for everyone as well. Loved it!

This is a lovely 4 bedroom home at a great little resort. The pool is perfect temperature, with a hot tub and warm tub. Guests should note the pool hours are “dawn to dusk” and that is strictly enforced. The view from the lawn above the rocky beach at the edge of the complex is breathtaking, and there are picnic tables there for seaside lunches and sunset cocktails. The home was decently equipped and very clean and the beds were comfortable. Younger kids will enjoy riding their scooter around the complex. Nice little tennis court (bring your own rackets etc). Overall a very enjoyable stay!

We had a wonderful time here. The home was just like the photos - the view was truly spectacular. We had beautiful sunny days and enjoyed having a beach right at our doorstep. We have a young family and found the place to be very family friendly, with beach toys available, a safe home for young kids, a playground nearby, and a beach safe for young kids. My children especially loved seeing the seals and hearing them bark! The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home, everything was clean, the beds comfy - no problems! Highly recommend, and we'd love to stay again.

Lovely space to spend my holiday away

Beautiful tiny home in a great rural area but also close to downtown Courtenay. We loved the high ceilings and light you get in the cabin. Had a small hiccup during our stay but the hosts were quick to respond and correct the issue. Would stay again. Thanks!

We had a great stay at Andrew’s place. There was a small issue with the heating but he was very responsive and did his best to solve the problem. The cottage had everything you need to cook a family meal and a fire that heats up the whole living space. Overall it was a lovely cottage to spend a long weekend.

We loved it here! The cottage and property were so charming and inviting. Our kids loved their cozy bed nooks with toys hidden underneath. We all enjoyed spending time with the animals and wandering the wonderful flower and vegetable gardens. Carol was exceptionally welcoming and generous. We would definitely recommend staying here and are already planning to return.

Beate's place was lovely. Very well cared for and tidy with a beautiful deck that overlooks the water. It was a quiet getaway - exactly what we had hoped for. The cottage had all the amenities that I would need during my stay. It was beautifully appointed and very clean. George even installed a grab bar by the toilet for me the next day that I was there. Loved the added treats of smoked salmon and cookies. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much George and Marion.

beautiful place which is right on the ocean. The view was incredible! The back deck was amazing and we spent hours on it. It was easy to walk down the steps to paddleboard on the ocean every evening. Kitchen was well stocked and even had snacks for the kids which was really appreciated. If we are ever back on Hornby Island we would stay again.

The views are incredible! The house is immaculate and perfectly stocked; we felt right at home. The tidal pools and seals kept the kids entertained out front of the house. A quiet and private little street, with a lovely neighbour next door. We loved our family stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Michelle’s place! The surroundings were stunning, with a beautiful water view and a lovely garden that made the experience even more special. Michelle was an incredible host, very kind, responsive, and thoughtful. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even staying up late just to welcome us and ensure we had everything we needed. When we requested extra bakeware, she provided it right away. The home felt cozy and inviting, truly a home away from home. We highly recommend staying here!

stayed for a night with my sisters, visiting our grandma, it was a cute little spot for us! right on the beach, we had a bonfire. Clean, and cozy! very easy check in! Hostesses are on-site til 12am. They responded quickly, felt very comfortable and accommodated :) we will be definitely going back for another visit.

Karen is a superhost! She has great taste, a clear love of fabrics and design. Her place felt homey and comfortable. She anticipated our needs and went above and beyond in welcoming us and guiding us to the island. This is not your average soulless Airbnb, Karen takes true joy in hosting. The property is gorgeous—rain or shine, it's a great spot, to watch for storms, whales, or sunsets. Even the beautiful photos don't do it justice. Relative to the rest of the island, it's in a low density spot where it is quiet and feels secluded. And if you want to take a night off from cooking, you can get pizza (and a drink) a short walk down the road.

The bay view from the seating area is just incredible, it’s 15 min from Powell River (which means you can go to 32 Lakes every day), there’s pebble, rock, and sandy beach to explore, and Bill is super friendly if you happen to bump into him. It’s a lovely little spot, we hope to come back some day.

Tara's place is clean, quiet, comfortable and well-appointed. The cottage is tucked away at the back of the house through the garden and feels a bit like a cabin in the woods. Two lovely and friendly Bernese Mountain Dogs came to say hello as I was going out to meet some friends. The bed was super comfortable and the place is spotless. The kitchen is well-stocked and there is a comfortable sitting area with a gas stove for heat if needed. You are also close enough to Comox to walk if you want (but I didn't). I was only there for a night on my way through town but would definitely stay next time I am in Comox.

Place was great, open concept and very airy. Lovely big deck with grill and propane fire pit to watch the sunset with an ocean view. Place was well stocked will all the essentials. Would love to go back!

Amazing stay at the hobbit house! It was our first stop on our honeymoon and I couldn’t have asked for a better host and accommodations. Scott was a great host and is willing to go above and beyond to make your stay great. Would recommend this place to anyone and my husband and I hope to stay here again in the future.
