Family-friendly vacation rentals in Portland

This beautiful property is off the beaten path, peaceful and bucolic, cozy and well appointed ... close to all you want to see and do in Portland. We woke to birdsong and woodpeckers, strolled through the vineyards, and then picnicked under the cherry blossoms along the Williamette in downtown Portland for lunch! The kitchen had everything we needed for a fun family dinner with game playing around the farmhouse table when the weather turned rainy in the evening. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem, for sure! What really stood out to us was that the house felt loved and cared for, in all the best ways. The garden was charming with its ponds and gazebo, and both house and yard made excellent use of space and felt much larger than the square footage would imply. Tabor Bread was an easy walk away and its pastries were delightful. There were many other restaurants in walking distance too. Dallas was an extremely responsive host and made us feel right at home. We would gladly stay here again!

I had a fabulous stay at Therese’s place! It was incredibly peaceful and calm, with stunning views of the river right from the bedroom — such a perfect way to start the day. Therese was so friendly and kind, and as it was my first time visiting Portland, she went above and beyond by recommending lots of great things to do and see. She even brought us our favorite breakfast items to enjoy— such a thoughtful touch! I would definitely stay here again anytime I visit Portland. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay—this is a beautiful, peaceful property with lots of character, and communication with the hosts was responsive and kind. That said, a few of the amenities listed (laundry, fireplace, cold plunge) weren’t available during our visit, which was disappointing, especially since some were part of what drew us to the listing. That said, Dayna and Sarah were transparent, apologetic, and generous in offering a partial refund without us having to ask, which we really appreciated. Overall, a lovely stay, and I’m confident future guests will have an even better experience as these issues get resolved.

Diane's airbnb is conveniently located for us to visit our kids and grandkids, and also anyone who has students at Reed College. We love the feel of the neighborhood, and walking around at night is beautiful around Christmas time with lights on houses. Also, I should add, the bed was very very comfortable. Dianne and Michael made us feel welcome!

My daughter and I had an absolutely amazing time at our stay while visiting George Fox. We felt like we checked into our own private spa. Such a relaxing and renewing experience. Karen and Eric were responsive and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

It was a great place for 6 girlfriends to get together for an event, there was plenty of room for all of us. Parking was great and there are a tons of shopping and restaurants nearby.

Second stay and it truly feels like a home away from home. This home has soul! Rob is very thoughtful and responsive and the house is our perfect blend of old/funky/artsy and convenient/comfortable. Great set up for remote work too. Plus our dog LOVES the yard and toys.

Jillette’s place was totally great for us. It was reasonably priced for what we got. The HVAC unit went down during our stay and there was someone to check on it within an hour. The heat pump was out so she door-dashed a space heater for us right away. Nicely done! We cooked and made coffee, everything in the kitchen functions. We’ll def book again next time we’re rolling through the greater PDX area

Great place for a Portland visit! Nice kitchen setup and the bed was comfortable. Laundry access was a great bonus as well.

We loved staying at Annalisa’s home. It has a relaxed, cozy, lived-in vibe. It’s in a great location near lots of St Johns restaurants and across the street from a coffee shop. We are foodies, so we shopped at the grocery store less than a mile away. We cooked several large meals and found the utensils and appliances in the kitchen were adequate for our purpose. The wifi and tv worked flawlessly, the showers were hot and had plenty of water pressure. The hosts were so kind to let us check-in early and check-out was worry-free.

This place is both spacious and cozy. The neighborhood is really cute. Walking distance from about of restaurants, bars, and shopping in the Mississippi neighborhood, and only a 5 min walk from Light Rail or a couple of main bus lines. The hosts were quick to respond and very accommodating. The home was very clean, while remaining inviting. It was peaceful and quiet, despite being so near a couple of major through streets. If this place is available any time I visit Portland and need a 2br, this will always be my spot.

We really enjoyed our stay with Jared and Stephanie. Great accommodations and helpful responsive host and hostess. We will be back.

Great place and hosts! I couldn’t imagine a better location if you want to explore east side PDX. Sarah and Michael were very responsive and helpful in suggesting places to check out. The pad itself looks like it was designed by Pippi Longstocking, very funky and colorful in a good way. If I visit Portlandia again, I will be back!

Michelle’s place is in the heart of urban Alberta street/neighborhood. You can walk to many shops, restaurants, coffee and bars. This is a really ideal place to hang out with friends :). We were so happy and satisfied with this rental, it obviously means a lot to the owners who built it out and maintain it with love and care :)

Perfect accommodations for our needs, as well as some extra goodies that were a lovely surprise! The hosts were on top of communication and checking in, and the location is perfect. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Robyn’s place was just as described only better. We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was. Beautiful place to stay! The only suggestion we have is for a coffee table or end table for the couch. No place to set anything on while sitting on the couch! We will be staying here again when in town! Robynn was great to work with!!!

This is a beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful Airbnb. The kitchen was well sticked making it easy to cook. The bed was comfortable, pillows were great! The host was kind and responsive. We plan to stay here again next time we are in Portland. It was a truly wonderful Airbnb!

Touch pad entry is a plus- no key to worry about. Laura taught me how to make French press coffee. There is a grocery store within walking distance. I would suggest some solar lights along the path in front of the gate for navigation at night

This place was exactly what my friends and I needed. Tanya was always quick to respond and was flexible to allow my group to easily check into this beautiful place that best met our needs. It was well stocked and taken care of and allowed for a peaceful and carefree stay. Everything was as advertised and would highly recommend you considering this place for your next stay.
