Host KB was waiting for us at the bus station for our arrival and took care of taking us the taxi to his home. We arrived in a charming village nestled in the middle of the mountains where we met his parents, who took care of us carefully during our stay. Her mom cooks wonderfully and the portions are generous! The house has solar panels and we always had hot water! The host as well as his parents have always been very responsive and available to respond to us. KB is a guide and can accompany you for treks. We attended traditional dances, milking cows, helped with the preparation of the meal. These were very warm moments that will forever mark our minds. At their place, we were at home and we highly recommend going there, they are very lovely people! They also took care of our return to the center of Pokhara.

This was one of the most magical stays I have ever made. The place is beautiful, you have the most perfect view and the cleanest room. The family is beyond kind,they make you feel so well taken care of and they are the most giving people I have met. I felt very at home with the whole community,they make you feel like part of them. I would recommend it to anyone, this was the highlight of my Nepal trip. I will definitely be back🙏🏼

I had the best, most relaxing, time at Mahakuruna! I was doing a mix of working, hiking, relaxation. The place has a very nice construction, is tastefully decorated, and has nice additions like a wood fire and bath for if it gets a bit chilly. The view from the front door is also spectacular. Honestly, something that made the trip super simple and really elevated it was using Arun there (probably the only airbnb that comes with a chef 😆). All of the meals he cooked were both very healthy and delicious. I enjoyed every one. Walking down into the valley via all the villages was great. I would also recommend the hike up to Pitam Deurali that takes about 4hrs round trip. Add on Australian base camp too if you want to hike a bit longer, but be sure to take the route avoiding Pothana though, as there is a permit checkpoint there. I'm by no means advocating to skip getting a permit - if you wish to hike further afield, definitely get one! (from KTM or Pokhara in advance)

At the far west end of the lake, away from the hustle bustle of Pokhara's more populated tourist areas. Very quiet at night, comfy beds, and very, very clean. The private balcony on the east side of the loft has a view of the whole lake. At night, I saw the lights all around the lake. The simple kitchen has enough, and Gayatri loaned me whatever else I needed. A very friendly family! Watched the local life on the lake this morning from the 360° rooftop view. Best wifi I've had since I got here, with a good work table and chairs inside, and a table and chairs on the balcony. I think it's better than in the pictures! The big windows let in the breeze and the views, and the high ceilings, and ceiling fan, helped keep it cool. I was very hungry when I arrived and Gayatri prepared a delicious omelette and roti. So easy to check in, get a snack, have a shower, and a nap. Just what I needed. Highly recommend this place, and will return on this trip.
