Family-friendly vacation rentals in Polruan

We booked this property over a year ago for a special family trip to celebrate a 60th birthday! There was plenty of room for us all & the dogs. The hot tub was lovely & us ‘adult kids’ really enjoyed it! Lots of room and it really felt like home from home. Roger was kind and patient. Thank you for hosting

we stayed here for 4 night early January while working in the area a.d felt very much at home dispite the freezing weather the home was warm. cosy and comfortable so.much so I'm booking again to come with the family

Amazing view from the house. Rooms were spacious, especially kitchen area. Great location for families 5 or more people. Quick drive to the A30 (if you can fit through the bridge). Hot tub, with scones and Prosecco was an added bonus! Had a few minor issues, which Jeremy helped to rectify where he could. Definitely stay again!

Our stay at Shaun’s cottage was lovely. I’d fully recommend it . It was tastefully decorated and very clean and cosy. We bought logs from home and lit the wood burner, even though the cottage was extremely toastie without it. The local pub is a 2 minute walk away where we had a delicious lmeal and chat with the locals. And to top it all the hot tub make out stay. We will be back ! Thank you 😊

Beautiful location with awesome amenities. Really enjoyed the Alpacas and the hot tub! Ross and Becky were very communicative and were flexible with our check in when we had to arrive a day later, as well! Would definitely recommend :)

Our stay at Orchard Cottage was magical. Lower Marsh Farm is a beautiful setting and really helped my partner and I to truly relax. The cottage was such a relaxing environment to come back to after exploring cornwall, and the hot tub really made it extra special. Olivia was a superb hostess, and greeted us and talked us through where we could find local amenities and checked if we had any requirements. We absolutely loved it here and will be returning :))

Oyster catcher was a perfect stay for the short retreat that we were looking for. In spite of the late booking Sarah was very helpful and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this to anyone. one of the best stays I've had

We had a wonderful stay. So cosy and Karen had so thoughtfully designed and furnished the cottage! Comfortable bed, warm and cosy with a wood burning stove, fully fitted kitchen, spotless en suite and fluffy towels! The setting is peaceful and rural - we loved the wildlife, home pets and nature surrounded us - so unspoilt and very private but only minutes from both Falmouth and from Maenporth beach. It is an absolute treat to stay here and we hope to be back soon.

A lovely, warm place that's close to everything but still remarkably peaceful. Belinda's cottage is five minutes' walk from a cracking good pub, five minutes walk from the estuary and old quay, five minutes (slow) jog from the Coast to Coast trail and easily driveable to most places you'll want to go. There's plenty of room, everything you'll need and you can park right outside (or very nearly). And a huge thank you to Belinda for being so generous with local tips and advice.

Absolutely loved the cottage, such a lovely, homely place. Sharon kindly put the heating and the lights on for us before we arrived, which was really appreciated as we arrived with a little one & had to get him ready for bed straight away. We had everything we needed from the high chair & baby bath to even children’s toys, which our son loved! The pictures don’t do it justice & I couldn’t fault anything, will definitely be looking to come back in the future.

Another utterly perfect stay at Beth’s place, always feel totally at home the minute we walk in the door, such wonderful relaxed style and attention to detail. As a family of 8 & 3 generations celebrating Christmas & a special birthday, the farmhouse was simply magical. Will & Danni went above all our expectations with Christmas trees & selection boxes for the kids. The farm looked so beautiful with all the fairy lights & we found everything we needed to cook Christmas dinner for 12! Thank you so much for a simply amazing stay which allowed us to celebrate our first Christmas in six years as a family. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough & hope to be back in the future. The cottage is in a lovely location with great views from one of the double bedrooms and the conservatory and driveway. It felt very homely with the fire very useful, comfy sofas, thick stone walls. Kitchen is a little small but has everything needed, and has a spacious dining area attached. Comfortably fits 6, even 7 with sofa bed, though the two single bed mattresses feel a bit old. It was at a discounted price however with some more work said to be needed. Lovely woodland walk on the doorstep and coast very close. Very quiet and peaceful. Didn’t find pre-warned damp much of an issue. Amy was helpful and attentive though being in a different time zone. Appreciated the private space. A good find.

Our third visit. Very comfortable with open-plan, sociable living/dining/cooking centre to the accommodation. Also, fantastic location from which to access the coastal path to get to Polzeath, Rock and (via ferry) Padstow.

This is a home from home, beach ready, plenty of hall space to stop trampling sand in from the great outdoors. This has been our best Christmas ever. It’s warm, homely, feels lovely. Kirsten and Ben are so amazing and helpful. The bed was so comfortable. All new appliances. Instructions in a folder for everything we needed to know. We had a reserved parking space and we don’t want to go home! We hope we will be back soon. The garden at the front is fenced off and great for the pups. I can only imagine how warm and private the front garden will be in the summer months! Hope to try out the pool in the summer months. Thank you for everything. We now have great memories back at Christmas time.

A fantastic place to stay beautiful property, spotlessly clean and brilliant amenities. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with any queries. Location is perfect for the beautiful beach and village. Our family had the most amazing holiday and highly recommend a stay at Bassets Acre.

We had a lovely relaxing time at Caroline’s place. The lodge is very well equipped and beautifully appointed, even better than shown in the photos. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and feeding the alpacas. 100% recommend.

We have just arrived home after a fantastic stay. The lodge was beautiful with everything that we needed. There is lots to do locally as well as in the resort. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for another stay in Easter. Thank you once again.

The views are spectacular on three sides. We really liked it, spotlessly clean, well equipped and great value.

Thank you for an amazing week my grandson wanted to stay longer. Fantastic facilities and amazing grounds. Little extras like games room, board games and dvds and our dog just loved the dog walking field. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely setting - very peaceful and private - peacocks, geese and a cat were there to greet us most days. Stephen was a great host and explained everything clearly and was very helpful. The place was compact but had everything we needed for our stay and was exactly as described and very clean. Asda Express within walking distance. Great location for accessing other parts of Cornwall - we ventured to Perranporth/Newquay which was around 40 mins. Also Tintagel Castle was around 25 mins. We would stay again. Thank you.

This was our first time booking an AirBnB and I needn't have worried. Marcus is a great host, very helpful and the property was exactly like the photos and description. It was in a perfect location for us, in a quiet part of town, but just a 10 minute walk to the town centre where there were some great pubs and Newquays beaches and harbour are also not far away. We found it very quiet in the apartment and weren't disturbed by any noise at all. We thought the Christmas tree and other decorations were a lovely touch and we felt at home and very comfortable.
