House vacation rentals in Playa Hermosa

The house is spectacular, spacious and super modern. The street is unpaved and it takes a long time to get to the main road. The nearby beaches are very rocky, so we were able to take advantage of the pool and home amenities.

This is truly a one of a kind (maybe even lifetime!) experience of a place to stay. Where else can you walk out of the pool and directly into the kitchen, living room or dining room? And get fresh air and breezes right into the house? We were a little worried that without AC in the main part of the house it would be uncomfortably hot. It was not an issue at all. Somehow the breezes blow in, the fans kept the air moving, and it felt so nice to hear the birds and not be stuck inside! It was also a very walkable 10-15 min into town, but note that Costa Rica is not big on sidewalks, so you do need to contend with traffic, scooters, and other walkers. But everyone does it, and makes you feel like a local! Down on the street is a place called Zolu, that makes amazing made to order food. You will sit outside and wait a bit but it was the best food we had and very reasonably priced.

The views and location to the beach are absolutely incredible. This place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the open air concept. This place made our trip to Costa Rica even better. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the crowds but still be close to everything you need!!

We loved our stay! Each bedroom is private with its own bath. We hardly used the pool because there are so many beautiful beaches within minutes, but I can imagine it'd be perfect for families. Lots of restaurants and food options within walking or driving distance (we highly recommend Restaurante Arenas!). We felt safe and secure and would stay here again.

Great quiet location, but a little far from good options for food. A car is definitely necessary if you are going to eat out. We just bought food at the local market and brought it back to cook. It was very quiet and we had monkeys right outside and had fun watching them every morning and afternoon. Ocotal beach is just a 2 minute walk away! Would stay again!

We had a the best time staying at this Air B&B! When we got to the house, it was clean and organized. It had everything we would need for our stay including a binder with all the information about the house, local places to visit and eat, and contact information. The house was located about 10 minutes from a town and 3 minutes from the beach. It was very easy to find once we got to Hermosa Heights. The house is in a gated community with 24 hour security, who guarded the gate and would walk the neighborhood frequently. We felt very safe! During our stay, Sylvie was quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. She made us feel so welcome and excited for our stay. Sylvie was an amazing host. We would highly recommend staying at Sylvie’s Air B&B to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Costa Rica. We couldn’t have asked for a better host and house for our family’s first vacation in Costa Rica.

We loved our stay so much at Casa Bianca that we extended. Marie was so helpful. Beautifully furnished, comfortable beds and linens, super clean! The pool area was beautiful with lovely loungers. The outdoor kitchen was a great spot to hang out and prepare meals. Having a washer and dryer was so nice after traveling for a while. The location is perfect, short walk to beach, restaurants and shops. We loved that they provided beach chairs too. WiFi was strong to catch up on emails or research things to do. I would highly recommend staying and we are already looking at return dates. Playa Grande is a perfect location to do day trips from, we explored Tamarindo, Playa Flamingo and Brasilito. Marie provided great directions and a nice welcome package for nearby things to do. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Casa Redonda was AMAZING. Our group of nine (five adults, four teens) were very comfortable and all felt the space perfectly met our needs. The house is beautiful, it's right in the centre of town but once you get through the gate you'd hardly know, it's so peaceful and private. We felt pampered throughout our stay, Ale and the whole staff were always helpful and accommodating. There was a cleaner in every couple of days which we didn't realize but was a wonderful surprise. Honestly, not a single negative thing to say about our stay at Casa Redonda. Would go back in a heartbeat! We rented a golf cart for our stay but only used it a couple of times. The house really is so central, you can walk everywhere.

Home has beautiful views from every floor. Comfortable and super clean property. The only thing to mention is that it does have a high incline. Would definitely recommend this home. Host was very responsive and helpful .

We really enjoyed our stay which was one of a kind experience. Samantha was very helpful and communicative right from the get go with check-in instructions, local recommendations, excursions and really anything we needed during our stay. She was always very quick to respond and provided all the information we needed. She communicated when landscapers, pool cleaners and any workers upkeeping the property would be coming by well ahead of time in order to keep the property in A+ condition. Marilyn, who was our maid throughout our stay was absolutely wonderful. She came everyday to clean, make breakfast, snacks, drinks and was a lovely person to get to know. She only knows a little bit of english so make sure to use a translator to communicate! The house was spotless everyday before she left and she cleaned all rooms and washrooms daily. Marilyn was truly the cherry on top for this airbnb, thank you for all your help! The pool was nice, rooms spacious, each room had its own washroom & AC.

This place was truly amazing. The house has a beautiful ocean view and was very comfortable. All the AC units worked well, which was welcomed on the hot nights. We also enjoyed the pool to cool off on hot days and the hammocks to relax after a long day! The house was very clean and secure, and the WiFi was very fast which was welcomed for movie nights. I appreciated the extra neighborhood security, they were very nice and we felt safe. Crystal was very responsive and detailed in instructions for arrival and departure. The one thing I might recommend, is adding a few beach chairs to take down to playa Negra! Thanks again Crystal, we will certainly be back!

My family of 5 had an amazing stay at Kai’s place in Playa Grande. This place has walkable beach access and is close to restaurants. The space had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

This location was an excellent choice for our large family. Every couple and member of our group had their own private rooms with bathroom attached. Multiple areas throughout the property allowed for members to sit and relax in various settings. There were a couple quiet nooks where some could read while others enjoyed the pool or fire pit. Overall just a wonderful stay and the property was in great condition. There were some small issues that did arise from some power outages, but Mary Ann was very quick to respond and have her property managers get issues handled quickly. She was always pleasant to deal with and very proactive if I had any questions.

The perfect spot in Tamarindo. We absolutely loved the space! We cooked breakfast each morning and had fantastic sleeps with the quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds and AC. The pool is fantastic and we really appreciated the short walk to the beach and town area. Having a quiet oasis to escape to was perfect and we cannot recommend this place enough. We’d would absolutely stay here again!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Arbel’s house in Tamarindo! The property was stunning—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with all the amenities we needed for a perfect vacation. The pool was a highlight, and the location was ideal, just a quick drive to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Arbel was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Communication was prompt and friendly, making us feel truly welcomed. We’d highly recommend Arbel’s place to anyone visiting Tamarindo and can’t wait to return

Great place! The location is really great, close to many things to do but also quite and tucked away with great views and plenty of privacy. The hosts are available and good with communication, especially the directions on how to get there. The house is very nice, clean and has everything you need. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others. The pool and view is fantastic, large open kitchen is also great for families and cooking meals together. Plenty of fans and a/c units to stay cool. This place is not to be missed!

A Peaceful Getaway Near the Beach It was a beautiful house close to the beach, and it was the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience. Surrounded by nature, the property offered a private and peaceful retreat, ideal for relaxation. Despite the secluded feel, it was just a short distance from town, making it easy to access restaurants and any essentials. For us was perfect because we were looking for a quiet escape or a balance between nature and accessibility, this place offers the best of both worlds! Looking forward to visit again.

The first thing I thought when walking in was that everything looks exactly like the pictures. The place was spotless and the neighborhood is perfectly private and quiet. Security was attentive and friendly. You will definitely need a car to get around because the property is about 5-10 minutes from Tamarindo beach. It's a great location for a quiet relaxing getaway with a short drive to shopping, dining, and night life. We stayed for a week and would definitely come back next time we visit Costa Rica. We even saw a few howler monkeys in the nearby trees! Also, the water pressure and temperature were fantastic. No complaints at all.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tamarindo! The home was unique, gorgeous, super clean and well stocked. The pool was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed by our children. As others mentioned, we would recommend 4 wheel drive, though we really liked being away from the noise and bustle of Tamarindo. The management company was terrific.

We had a fabulous day at Ben’s. We found Ben very available and easy to communicate with. The space was perfect for three of us. We enjoyed the cats daily visits and showing us where the cat food was kept by banging the door until we opened it lol . There was a water issue during our stay and Ben worked hard to resolve it and provided a temporary solution. Thank you, Ben. There are a few minor items that could use some repairs which I’m sure will be taken care of promptly. We would highly recommend staying at Ben’s place.

Sebastian house was simply amazing!! we absolutely loved it. The yard was magical with all the plant and the house is beautiful! we slept really well and we're confortable for our 5 days there. we had some iguana friends in the backyard that our girls really enjoyed and my mom even spotted a spider monkey! The kitchen was well equip to cook. we were sad to leave! Sebastian was quick to answer. overall we loved our stay and would come back anytime!! also the house is about a 12 minutes walk to the beach which was easy enough with our kids. the beach is huge there and really beautiful.
