We had a lovely stay at Javier's. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, which we especially appreciated after our long trip from California. Best thing for us was how close the beach was. It took us less than five minutes to walk to a stunningly gorgeous beach with the best body surfing waves we've ever caught. There were also some nice places to eat nearby and an easy jaunt to the water taxi's which take you to Tamarindo. Day trips are also very doable, with the Las Leonas waterfalls within a 1.5 hr drive and the Buena Vista adventure tours (zip lining, horseback, water slide) within 2.5 hrs. Would definitely stay here again.

El Manglar is the perfect and best place to stay in Playa Grande. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the location is ideal, and the price is affordable. I love that this is a place owned and run by Ticos. It’s nice to stay at the beach in Costa Rica where the guests aren’t just tourists, but also nacionales. Gracias por todo!

Really cute spot with easy access to the beach. Hosts were very responsive and went out of their way to ensure I had made it safely to an excursion I had signed up for thru them. Would definitely stay again. Make sure to try out their restaurant down the road.

We loved Hotel Cantarana! It was the perfect spot to relax before our wedding in Playa Grande. Love the community and how walkable everything is. Loved the coffee shop, restaurant, and private path to the beach. Everyone was so friendly and helpful too. The bed was comfy! The pool was refreshing and very much needed. Really no complaints at all.

Rafa and her mom are the best hosts in all of Costa Rica, with them you are going to really live the pure life of Costa Rica🇨🇷. Their house is right in front of the sea, they have space to leave the car. There are many beaches nearby in the car less than 15 minutes away, many places to eat, and several super to get the basics. Rafa es exceptional will not regret having booked with him. We lived 4 days and 3 nights and honestly I didn't want to leave, but I had to advance my way. Living with Rafa is to feel at home with the most local the real experience of Costa Rica quite Tuanis Pura Vida

We've been to Tamarindo for five nights and enjoyed our stay at this apartment so much. Everything was clean, new and comfortable. Everything you need is reachable within 5-10 minutes of walking. Nice Cafes, Restaurants, Supermarkets or the beach. We would choose this apartment again!
