Places to stay in Platanias

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Minaretto & Irina was extremely communicative & responsive. The location was great being almost in the middle of the Old Town. The place was immaculate and perfect for 2 people. The kitchen was well equipped. Bed was extremely comfortable. The place was peaceful & quiet. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we did not really have the opportunity to sit up on the roof, but this would be a great place to sit during the day or evening when warmer. Really recommend this place. Good restaurants and many good coffee shops especially Xross in Tsouderon St.

Incredibly great view from the balcony. Alex the cat, who is the property manager, comes by regularly to check on his guests. He likes to paid in treats for his service. Yurga is a funny and helpful person. If you are a light sleeper you should bring earplugs as the fridge makes a lot of noise at night. Otherwise everything was great! Thank you very much!

Well what can I say; we loved our stay in the villa. Pictures don’t do justice to the place. Ocean is literally your backyard and you can easily walk to many local places. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants privacy and wants to have. Private ocean. Would want to come back again to Giorgos place again

Beautiful stay, even better than the photos, really good host and very responsive. We had a hire car as we like to see lots of places, I’d suggest anyone going also gets a hire car, as the walk down to the local busy stop is about 20 minutes up/down a very steep hill! The bus will get get you everywhere along the coast and to the beautiful old town of Chania!There’s lots of local restaurants, and a couple of travel agencies for day out, that are worth looking at! If your a cat person like me you’ll love the cats that are at Chrissida hotel! A comfortable bed to sleep in and soft modern feel. Would definitely go back again

The apartment was stunning, and communication was smooth! I can definitely recommend it.

Very functional and very well-equipped accommodation, gas bbq and small pool very nice. Located in a very peaceful little village with lots of facilities nearby. Very good base to get around and fully enjoy the beauty of the sites of West Crete. Special mention to Irene for her welcome, her valuable advice, and all her little touches throughout the stay.

Our stay at the Dimitra apartments was amazing - the apartment is perfect for a long stay and everything about it was great. Close to beaches, the old town and lots of lovely bars and restaurants. The hosts were super friendly and communication was perfect. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Chania itself is a wonderful place and we hope to come back soon. We will definitely look to stay at this apartment again next time we visit Chania.

Thank you Georgios for hosting us. The place was in old town Chania. Very walkable to restaurants, the Venetian harbor and other attractions. Our favorite part was eating breakfast on the balcony in the early morning hours. Only one thing to consider is that if you are arriving by car, you will need to park outside the old city since cars are not allowed in there (~7 minute walk).

We had a great stay at Katerina’s. She was very responsive and helpful, and her husband George gave us some great recommendations. The apartment is comfortable and clean, and the view is stunning. We didn’t love taking our rubbish to the on street bins, as we were 5 people in a small car with stinky trash bags and the closest bin is quite a long walk. But we would still recommend and would be happy to stay again.
