Cottage vacation rentals in Petersfield

We have just spent the Easter weekend at this wonderful cottage - 4 adults and 2 children under 6 years old, and I have to say that Joel & Gaby’s place near the new forest is absolutely fabulous. Very spacious and ideal if you are looking for a getaway with a hot tub and table tennis in the garden. The cottage is in a great location, about 10 min drive to Paultons Park with peppa pig world so an absolute must for kids. It’s also not far from the new forest itself and Lyndhurst town. It was really tidy & clean, with a well equipped kitchen and bathrooms stocked with fresh towels. We were left a lovely gift on arrival of fresh bread, milk, eggs and a bottle of Prosecco which was an absolute treat! I couldn’t recommend this cottage more - thank you Joel & Gaby we had a fabulous time and would stay again in future.

Had a great time at the Wisteria Lodge - very clean, hosts were very friendly and was perfect for a quiet getaway from the city. Would recommend!

Lovely weekend with friends. Beautiful location and the hosts were happy to provide suggestions on where to go etc and were very responsive. The croissants, jams, coffees etc were a lovely addition to our first morning!!🌞 Sue and Robert were also flexible with us leaving the car in the space after check out for a bit so we could go for a walk and make the most of the weather!

We stayed for 4 nights in April 2025, 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 13). Fabulous stay, the cottage is lovely and tucked away from the road. The hot tub was a big hit and made the stay that little bit more amazing! Excellent host and a lovely cottage, we will be back.

Really relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. Superb decking area and private garden area. Lots of places to visit and the setting is lovely. In fact, met all our expectations and more! Really pleasant stay in sumptuous surroundings. Outstanding host!

We had the most wonderful stay in Bramdean. Neil our host was fantastic, on hand when needed, helpful, polite, but not interfering. The cottage is fabulous; cosy and comfortable. Peaceful and private. The large hot tub was amazing and Neil checked on levels etc to ensure it worked well for the duration of our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with store cupboard items such as herbs, spices, oil and there were lots of kitchen utensils which was great for us because we mainly cooked at the property. The bathrooms are fabulous. The whole property is beautifully decorated and as the pictures. We were sad to go as the stay was so relaxing and rejuvenating. The Cottage can be a bit tricky to find but if you use what3words and follow Neil's instructions then it is easy. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to be back in the near future.

We had a fantastic stay, lovely location with beautiful scenery. The local pub did great food and very friendly. We did day trips to Bournemouth the New Forest for a couple of walks. Would highly recommend this place for a fabulous cottage which felt so much like home with lots of places to visit near by!

We had a lovely time. Love the location. Perfect for walkers. Inside was light and airy. Bed was very comfortable. The animals were happy and friendly and the area has lots of wildlife. We enjoyed going for walks and visiting Hungerfords Elaine's for lunch. Look forward to visiting again.

The Cottage is gorgeous and located in a pretty part of the South Downs, the host was amazing and I would jump at the chance to stay at the cottage again

The cottage is warm, friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms get glorious light in the morning and the back garden is an oasis. Lots of lovely coffee shops and atmospheric pubs within walking distance. We really enjoyed it.

If I could give extra stars beyond the 5 star rating, I really would. Hillary's AirBnB is beautiful, exactly what my wife and I needed and agreed it was one of the best places we've stayed at via AirBnB. Hillary allowed for an early check-in, was really communicative being friendly and helpful whenever we did communicate. Cannot recommend enough!

Firstly thank you Paul & Sarah for your directions. If you put the cottage post code in to your sat nav it will have you carrying out a U turn on the A31 so please note the directions given. The cottage is in a lovely location and was cosy, well furnished, well equipped and clean. The garden was lovely and great for our dogs but small dogs can squeeze through gaps in the fence (Paul is aware and is planning to block off any escape routes). There were fresh tulips and shortbread to greet us, which was a lovely touch, as well as lovely toiletries. Paul & Sarah were responsive to any queries or needs we had. There are lovely walks through the forest right on your doorstep. There is an outdoor hose for washing muddy footwear and paws. There are outside lights but the torch inside the cottage came in handy. We would happily recommend the cottage for a relaxing break.

What a great setting for an escape to the country! I already miss waking up with the chickens and pigs to greet me every day. I also saw more wild animals and birds in my walks around here in a week, than I have in years in London. Auriol is a great host, relaxed, knowledgeable and friendly, and the property is exactly as described and shown here. Tips for other travelers: If you’re a light sleeper bring an eye mask and earplugs as it does get sunny in the main bedroom. Looking forward to returning here!

Great stay in a very quiet and peaceful village. Great dog walking from the door. Sun room and lounge an excellent place. Host very helpful, even got a tour of the village and learnt all about the history.

We had a lovely stay over Easter, the weather was mixed but the village has everything you need- a few cafes snd pubs, baker, butcher, fishmonger and a couple of coops. Lots of places to walk and visit from the cottage. The off road parking is great but a bit tight for a larger car. The house was spotless, warm and comfortable. Stairs are steep ( common in houses of this age), but my elderly father managed ok. Thanks for a fun break!

Great little find! Loved the outdoor space where we were able to sit and have food with family. Log burner was lovely in the evening and made it even more cosy. Shower was hot and powerful and the kitchen had everything we needed. Will recommend and will definitely book again

I would highly recommend staying at Sandra's beautiful cottage. It is so well equipped, comfortable and cosy - a real home from home - and idea for long and short stays. Everything was immaculate and the bed and sofas were so comfy. And Cookie loved the dog bed and bowls that were provided. Sandra has provided lots of ideas for trips and places to eat locally. We will definitely return!

We had a lovely stay, everything was clean and as described. The stairs up to the bedroom are steep and a bit of a squeeze so bear this in mind. Debbie was a responsive and helpful host beforehand. I’d recommend this place to stay with the above caveat re the stairs.

Lovely place to stay, plenty of space. Bedroom an especially nice space. Good bathroom, with advantage of an additional downstairs loo. New Forest was beautiful and the cottage is in a really good spot. Surprising downside, an old fashioned, non smart TV. DVDs were supplied, but this did seem a strange oversight.

It was such a lovely stay at Lucy and Nick! Everything was perfect and all the family so lovely and welcoming. The cottage, the surroundings, the animals, the region, .. I will come back soon for sure!

Terrific little cottage! A couple of great ppubs around incl. a personal favorite (Bourne Valley Inn).
