Julie's place offers a real beach house experience - a north facing home elevated on columns to achieve open vistas from the living areas over native foreshore vegetation and a clear view of the beach and waterfront, and a panorama from headland to headland. This is enhanced further by the wide shaded balcony with ample outdoor furniture. Access to the beach is on a short sandy path through the foreshore planting, and the beach is calm, protected, clean and long, ideal for swimming and walking. The undercroft of the house provides access to a 'mud room' laundry and additional toilet and equipment for beach days. There is undercover parking for cars in this area if desired. The style of the house is casual but well cared for, clean and very well equipped. Julie provided the provisions for not only the normal tea and coffee making but enough for a light meal on our arrival, which was much appreciated. There was generous provision of other supplies, sufficient for our stay.

Great location with a fantastic view. Could do with a few upgrades but overall I would have no issues coming back again. Both host excellent service and always answered my questions. The view is the best on the island in my opinion.

Absolutely faultless experience, we absolutely loved our stay at Kokumi and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay on Kangaroo Island. The photos 100% matched the experience and you’re only a short 5 minute drive to the local facilities in and around Penneshaw.

We booked a weekend stay and it did not disappoint. The house was lovely, nice rooms. Living views were stunning. Next time we would like to come in the cooler weather, so we are able to experience the outdoor fire pit. Laurise, our host was very accomodating, especially with some last minute requests and our extra guests. We definitely recommend. We werent sure about the no TV with kids, but we absolutely loved the quiet time and were able to explore the outdoors together and play games, which the kids loved. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Wonderful place to stay. The view is inspirational and provides perfect afternoons and evenings on the deck. The house is very well set up with high quality furnishings and appliances. We will definitely return.

Our stay at Marine Cottage in Emu Bay was nothing short of spectacular. The cottage is charming and well-equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts, Peter and Jo, are very friendly and approachable, making the stay even more enjoyable. Marine Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of Kangaroo Island. The nearest beach is just a short walk away. After the sunset, we spotted the cutest little penguins on the beach and in front of the cottage! Overall, Marine Cottage offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the best of Kangaroo Island!

I think Richard’s place is located on one of the most beautiful parts of KI, and very close to an amazingly beautiful white sand beach that u can just drive your car down. Highly recommend this spacious home
