Monthly Rentals in Pelena, Thalaramba

I reserved my stay here due to the location. Easy walking distance to the train station, local restaurants and the beach. The house was clean and spacious easy for two people to have their own space with desks if you need to get some work done. The home had the best wifi I experienced on my backpacking trip. The bedroom had working aircon, there were fans around the home and good hot water. The kitchen had the essentials I needed for a few nights stay. Perfect for a couple or solo traveller. The host was very kind and was there for us when we checked in. I would stay here again.

I stayed at Ananda's place for 5 weeks. The place is great! It was extremely clean upon check in. The place is spacious, exatly like the photos. The bed is very comfy with mosquito net. The wifi is strong and stable, perfect for remote working. They also have a small shop where you can get basic stuff such as water, cookies, soap, etc. Very convenient. The location is good. You can walk to the beach, 10-15 min. Ananda and his wife Malika are super host. Very sweet and atentive, they took care about everything so my stay was perfect. Malika is an excellent cook. She cooks absolutely delicious Sri Lankan food for a very reasonable price (way cheaper than any restaurant). It was without any doubt the best local food I tried in Sri Lanka. Definetly a must try! I recommend the place 100%! :)

Hasara and her family are very nice, they live nearby and are helpful in every way. Upon arrival, we felt at home and enjoyed our stay very much. The accommodation has an excellent location, it is only a few minutes away from a beautiful beach where you can surf. When we return to Weligama, we don't want to stay anywhere else =)

This was a great stay off the beaten path, but still walkable to restaurants and the beach. It was quiet and private and our co-host, Jula, made sure we felt right at home. He was always extremely responsive and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed (even dropping off some household items and increasing the internet data package so I could work from the apartment). The internet was fast and stable for video calls (~60mb/s download, 55 mb/s upload), and the desk made it easy to work comfortably. The bed was large and comfortable and the apartment was spacious. It was really convenient having a washing machine and Jula provided detergent. Would definitely stay here again!
