David was easy to work with. The cabin was the same in person as shown in pictures. Plenty of room and nice location on the river.

perfect little retreat for what we needed. Danielle is so kind, and so quick to respond to messages. the space is perfect, and so cute. brilliant use of space. the location is perfect - waking distance to downtown Quincy, but feels secluded enough to feel like to perfect little getaway. we will be repeat renters for sure!

The Todd was amazing for our little family of 3! It was the perfect getaway to unplug and relax for a few days. Our teen loved being able to sleep in the loft and have his own space. The queen bed was soft and cozy. There were plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the necessary tools for cooking. The bathroom was clean and tidy. Trains rumble by often which makes you feel you've stepped back in time. Doug is the onsite manager and very helpful. Paxton is tiny but it's a nice drive to Lake Almanor. All roads are photo-worthy. In Chester, there's a great grocery store (the Holiday Market) and a delicious little diner (Lola's Family Restaurant) which is cash only. Quincy is the other town nearby with restaurants and things to do, but we spent our time at the cabin and lake. The property is nice; lots of room for folks to hang out and kids to play. Could be great for a group or a couple of families to rent out a few cabins for a combined vacation.
