We really had a great time at Graham’s place and highly recommend his place for a short or long term holiday stay. Our family picked his place because we read so many great reviews and we were so happy we did since we too had a lovely experience staying there. Graham is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome from the time he confirmed our stay to when he met us on arrival and throughout our stay. The apartment is excellent, very clean, modern amenities , cosy, safe and just 1-2 minutes walk to the estuary and few minutes to frog town beach. We loved the proximity to the local attractions such as the Whangarei heads, the sandy Ocean beach, great walks and the beautiful sights of south and north Pataua south and Pataua north. The apartment is just 30 minutes from Whangarei town . We definitely will love to visit and stay again :) Thank you Graham for your awesome hospitality .

Sandra's home is a well equipped and comfortable suite. Located in Jack's Bay near a beautiful walk to the beach, it is a 25 minute drive to historic Russell. Great value and and a welcoming host.

We loved staying here. Fabulous location, right near the beach while also being private. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals and we also enjoyed some great cafes nearby. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed listening to the waves.

Nice little apartment with very cozy couch. You were able to get settled in the right way.

A really peaceful space nestled in the bush, lots of tui. Loved the deck for outdoor dining and lounging area. Only about 900 metres from the beach although we took the car. The hosts were responsive to our texts and friendly. Would recommend

A perfect spot for R &R and exploring the. beautiful coastline. Just remember it doesn’t have a kitchen.

The view from the studio was absolutely beautiful. we loved the sunset views and the stars at night. The space was well laid out and had everything we needed for a weekend away. It was an easy walk to the beach, and we enjoyed a day out exploring Puketi Kauri Forest, the Blueberry ice cream place and Kainui Road Vineyard which were a short drive from Waipapa.

Our stay in Kohinui Cottage was all we had hoped for. We had everything we wanted, as well as plenty of little bonuses, like fresh eggs from the chooks just outside the cottage. Andrea and Mike very very friendly and approachable and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids loved the chooks, sheep and neighbouring cows and all the different things to do in the games barn. It's a really beautiful property and I'd highly recommend staying there.

Loved this cute, clean, peaceful place with gorgeous views from property. We did enjoy wandering down to the small private (rocky but calm water) beach with views out to the islands on our first evening. Angela was easy to communicate with and responsive. She was unable to be there for our stay but set us up by having her lovely parents greet us and show us around.

We loved our time at Hadlee’s place! He is a great and very responsive host and even came around to meet us after he finished work. The place was modern, very pretty and cosy. We loved the comfortable bed. The kitchen was perfectly clean and well-equipped with everything one could ask for. Hadlee was very transparent about potential noise from his twin boys. We did not mind the little noise in the morning at all but I would recommend sensitive sleepers to bring earplugs.

Lovely stay. Really nice view. Close to ferry terminal. We enjoyed sitting out in the deck having a BBQ. Lots of homely touches around the place. When staying at Opua Magic we managed to go to Russell, Urupukapuka, Paihia and Kerikeri. Thanks for a great stay

This is our second time staying with Nicky and Mike while we were in the area for the half Marathon event. Mike even dropped us off to the street after party and picked us up again for a koha. We feel at home at their cute wee studio and Nicky’s pottery is stunning 😍

An absolutely wonderful place that is exactly as described. The views overlooking Bream Bay are breathtaking. Check-in was seamless, and the property is equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. While we didn’t have the chance to meet the host, it’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into creating a delightful experience for their guests. Thank you Adam.

We were honestly gobsmacked with this place and how awesome it was. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we never stopped smiling. We were looking for rest and relaxation during our stay and we got it in abundance. The whare is immaculate and equipped with everything we needed (and some). The little extras added such as the fruit etc were just the icing on the cake and I cannot fault anything about our stay. The best friendliest hosts you could ask for, we definitely want to come back again soon!

We had a lovely stay at Leah and Paul's place! They were friendly, accommodating hosts who made us feel very welcome. The property was clean, with amazing views and beautiful surroundings that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our dog had a fantastic time as well! Leah's homemade granola was delicious, and the breakfast options were a nice touch. We also appreciated the book documenting all the work they've put into the property—it gave us a real sense of the effort and care that went into creating this space. Highly recommend for a relaxing, homey getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Heather and Peter’s Air bnb. It was a magical location, so peaceful, and with an amazing view. We were treated to a beautiful orange sunset that evening as we soaked in the wonderful hot tub. The apartment was modern and clean and contained everything we needed. The selection of breakfast food was beyond our expectations and everything has been so well thought out. It’s worth mentioning that the bed was very comfortable too. I would 100% recommend this Air BnB and hope we can return sometime. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. It worked very nicely for us while our sailboat was out of the water being worked on. We rented a car and used it as home base to explore the northern part of the north island and run some errands.

The hosts are pleasant and cheerful, easy to chat with, and interesting. The breakfasts are lovely and the unit very comfortable. They were also very welcoming to our little dog. This is the second time we have stayed there, and we will come again.

We had an extended stay and enjoyed every day. The property is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The kitchen is well equipped. We watched the birds and rabbits(saw 4 once) and visited the sheep. My husband became quite fond of the robot mower and checked on it daily. We are coming back for another stay in about 10 weeks and looking forward to it.

Great place, great hosts. We welcomed very warmly when we arrived. All instructions were given at check in and were clear and easy. Very peaceful and secluded from the road. Lovely pool that we used whilst cooking our dinner on the provided BBQ. Highly recommend

I had a very nice stay at Marjorie’s place. It really did feel like home away from home! Cozy and comfortable but not pretentious. Marjorie is a very discreet yet helpful host. Just right for me 🤗

Good location for a our one night stop over after snorkelling at Tutukana. Easy walk to get take away food. Very comfy bed. Helen was very welcoming.

This Bach was clean tidy and well equipped and easy to manage. The shower worked well with great pressure and hot water. A pity the BBQ down stairs wasn’t operational. Most beds were comfortable and warm. The whole place was warm with plenty of light and sunshine. The outdoor table worked well for s larger group. The neighborhood was quiet and so close to the sandy beach. I recommend mentioning this is the basement Bach.
