the place was absolutely beautiful. my family and me enjoyed the place so well and our favorite part was standing on the front porch and watching the skiers go by

We had a large group at the compound by the swinging bridge for New Years and it was absolutely ideal! We played games by the fire place, cooked delicious meals, relaxed in the sauna and hot tub, danced and watched movies in the game room, laughed around the fire pits, played frisbee in the lawn, and watched an incredible double rainbow over the river after a thunderstorm. The beds were very comfortable and the vibe was cozy and lived in. Taki was great to communicate with and we’re very thankful to him and his family for creating such a sanctuary. We definitely hope to return!

We had the best time at Hunter’s Haven! The cabin was spotless and stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend getaway. The hot tub was great and the views were amazing. We were able to hit up some local shops to finish up all of our holiday shopping too. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back!

Our family of 4 and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had everything you could want. It was walkable to a few restaurants and a central location to explore the area. I was apprehensive about the owner staying on site, but don't be. They were completely out of hair until we needed something and then they were right there. More space than we could use. My son even got to keep up on his piano practice while there. Also, definitely a good value considering the space and amenities.

The ranch is exactly what I was looking for! We have 5 adults and a one-year-old. With 5 beds and 4 bathrooms, everyone can find their preferred spot. The one in the living room is quite soft, the rest 4 beds are firm. I lived in the living room on the first floor, there was plenty of space for my son to run around and stunning views outside the window, it was very relaxing! My son found a pigeon book on the shelf and brought it to me for storytime. He loved it! I like the way with 2 dining tables. While I used the round table for the baby stuff, everyone else could enjoy brunch around the big table. We also played some board games, we brought some, and there were plenty of choices in the house. All bathrooms are clean with super nice showers. The water turned warm very quickly. It's nice to have a morning walk around the house and sit in the swing chair to enjoy the view. The Google map was a bit tricky, try to follow Charles' instructions and find the mailbox number.

Lynn is a great host. We needed a place last minute as we were supposed to go to the NC Mountains and Hurricane Helene made that impossible. Lynn was very helpful in our search. She is responsive, friendly and very helpful. Group before us broke the coffee pot, she was not aware of this as they put the coffee maker in the cabinet. When we told her she brought over her own coffee maker for us to use. This is a historic house with historic elements if you love this you will love the house. The house had everything we needed and plenty of supplies, towels, etc. for our stay. We also love the no shoe policy as we never wear them at home so the floors are very clean. Great location too :)

Absolutely perfect space for our friend group of five. Cannot beat this location and the amenities/activities both from Graves and the area. Hoping to return soon, say hi to the ducks for us!

Andy's home was the ideal spot for my family over the Christmas holiday. The house was clean, spacious, and perfectly suited to all our needs. Whether it was playing cornhole, gathering around the firepit, cooking on the grill, or using the fully stocked kitchen, this home had everything we could have wanted! The Christmas decorations really enhanced the festive atmosphere. Andy was professional, courteous, and quick to respond to any inquiries. Thank you for opening your home to my family. We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Loretta's home in Luray! It is so calm and quiet there, just what we were looking for. We were impressed by how cozy and well-appointed everything is, as well as the location -- so close to Luray Caverns, just perfect. Additionally, grocery shopping is only a five minute drive away, but the home feels like it's miles from anywhere -- could not be better! The mountain views are unbeatable, and watching the cows grazing across the road each morning was fun. Loretta is great at communicating and shared all the details we needed plus recommendations for the local area. We had a wonderful time!

The house was much nicer than we expected. Everything was so beautiful. We had our daughter’s wedding there because of the surrounding around the house. The sunrise was spectacular. Sheila was very responsive to all my questions very proactive and a super sweet person. I will definitely be renting from her again. She made my daughters wedding so special with all the beautiful surroundings and house. Thank you so much Sheila. I definitely recommend renting from Sheila for all your needs.

We had a lovely long weekend getaway at Holler Hideaway. Before arrival, host Daniel provided clear directions which led us straight to the house without issue. The place was as described and perfect for our party of 3 humans and 3 pups. Dog friendly and had dog bowls set up in the kitchen and waiting. We had planned to do some hiking in Shenandoah National Park, but had some wintery weather roll through. Daniel was very communicative, proactively offering some tips for the inclement weather (which fortune wasn't too bad!). In the end, we did get some snowy hikes in, much to our pups' delight, as well as some zoomies time in the yard. The house was cozy and warm, and just what we needed for a quiet weekend away. Would highly recommend checking it out if you need a dog-friendly place with proximity to Shenandoah/Luray!

Leah’s spot in Rileyville is fantastic! It’s super well equipped for young children with an adorable camp themed playroom & awesome game room in the detached garage. Very close to Luray & local attractions but peaceful on a small creek. Such a relaxing stay!

Prime location for the wedding party and family! This was the second time my family has rented from Darden, this time two houses instead of one! Loved the proximity to each other and the decor, the views.

We were in Luray for a family wedding and am so glad we discovered Joseph House. It's a beautiful historic home surrounded by gorgeous, peaceful scenery. It was the perfect weekend getaway from the city!

This is a wonderful home with lots of history. The house is nicely modernized, comfortable for large groups, and has tons of outdoor space. Great for family meals, reading by the fire, and everything you hope from a country retreat.

We stayed here for a long weekend in the winter. It was a perfect getaway. The kitchen was well-stocked, the bedrooms were comfortable, and we loved the charming living rooms. The 3rd floor living room was perfect for playing games and we had a wonderful view of the snow fall. And the hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out! Charlene and her husband were so welcoming. They met our group at check-in and gave us a tour of the house, while also providing helpful instructions on the fireplace, heating, and hot tub. They also gave us several recommendations for activities nearby and an incredibly thoughtful set of snacks, wine, and even fresh eggs from their own hens! This was an incredible home to stay in, as well as an amazing value. You should absolutely consider staying here if you are visiting Luray.

We loved our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. It was perfect for our little family of four and we felt very much at home. Amelia thought of everything - kitchen was well stocked, snacks were provided, games, books and DVDs available. We enjoyed the firepit and sat on the front porch to enjoy the gorgeous view multiple times a day. I hope we can visit again one day!

Anthony’s place was very comfortable and cozy. The home was perfect for our weekend getaway. It felt nice to relax by the fire pit. We were able to bring our fur baby which was a major plus! Also, the nearby vineyards and caverns. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing weekend.
