The River House at the Swinging Bridge

AbbyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a family Thanksgiving here and could not have asked for a better find! The house is so charming and lovely with room enough for 12+ people. The river frontage provided hours of enjoyment for the kids, the hikes on the property and nearby trails were perfect. I was worried that the road would be busy but it’s not at all! It’s a dead end and we hardly saw any other cars while we were there. I one thousand percent recommend this home and can’t wait to return!

Lophaven Country Getaway-Entire Home/Private Pool

EdieRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Sarah's place was ABSOLUTLY PERFECT!! This was a lady's trip. The house was MUCH bigger than it looks in the pics. It was nice and close to Edinburg Burgess' Electric Bike Tours for biking the wineries. It was only 40 min to the Shenandoah River Outfitters, for a relaxing kayak down the river. FABULOUS AIRBNB location! Beautiful morning walks around the farm/pond! The view from this house cannot be beat. The house was clean and WELL STOCKED! I will be back with my husband and friends! Thank you Sarah and Sue!

Hunter`s Haven

JennieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The cabin was absolutely gorgeous- beautiful light streaming through the large windows and a panoramic view. The cabin was really nicely furnished and everything you could need to prepare meals was provided in the kitchen. Hot tub and fire pit made time outside even more enjoyable. Overall it was super comfortable and a beautiful thoughtfully appointed place. One of the best we've stayed at on Airbnb.

Cubs_Cottage

NatalieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We very much enjoyed our stay at Cubs Cottage. The house is charming and cozy! It felt very private even though it was right in town close to everything. The location was fantastic. Walkable to restaurants in downtown Luray, and a close drive to Skyline Drive. It was great spot for a weekend getaway for two, to enjoy the Mountains. The house was clean and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed staying at the house and would stay again!

Lynn is a great host. We needed a place last minute as we were supposed to go to the NC Mountains and Hurricane Helene made that impossible. Lynn was very helpful in our search. She is responsive, friendly and very helpful. Group before us broke the coffee pot, she was not aware of this as they put the coffee maker in the cabinet. When we told her she brought over her own coffee maker for us to use. This is a historic house with historic elements if you love this you will love the house. The house had everything we needed and plenty of supplies, towels, etc. for our stay. We also love the no shoe policy as we never wear them at home so the floors are very clean. Great location too :)

The Ranch

DaisyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The ranch is exactly what I was looking for! We have 5 adults and a one-year-old. With 5 beds and 4 bathrooms, everyone can find their preferred spot. The one in the living room is quite soft, the rest 4 beds are firm. I lived in the living room on the first floor, there was plenty of space for my son to run around and stunning views outside the window, it was very relaxing! My son found a pigeon book on the shelf and brought it to me for storytime. He loved it! I like the way with 2 dining tables. While I used the round table for the baby stuff, everyone else could enjoy brunch around the big table. We also played some board games, we brought some, and there were plenty of choices in the house. All bathrooms are clean with super nice showers. The water turned warm very quickly. It's nice to have a morning walk around the house and sit in the swing chair to enjoy the view. The Google map was a bit tricky, try to follow Charles' instructions and find the mailbox number.

Country living with magnificent views

HeatherRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Loretta's home in Luray! It is so calm and quiet there, just what we were looking for. We were impressed by how cozy and well-appointed everything is, as well as the location -- so close to Luray Caverns, just perfect. Additionally, grocery shopping is only a five minute drive away, but the home feels like it's miles from anywhere -- could not be better! The mountain views are unbeatable, and watching the cows grazing across the road each morning was fun. Loretta is great at communicating and shared all the details we needed plus recommendations for the local area. We had a wonderful time!

Shenandoah Twin Creeks: Spa, Gameroom, EV Charger

GiulianaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Leah’s cabin is a really nice place to spend some nights and to visit the Shenandoah National Park. The highlights are definitely the kitchen - big and with everything you need (we cooked Thanksgiving dinner), the game room and the outside area with the hot tub and the fire pit where we could make s’mores for the kids everyday. Having a Christmas tree when we arrived was a nice surprise! Although the rooms are nice, I wished there were cabinets or dressers for us to put our clothes in. We had to keep them in our suitcases during our stay. Also, the cabin can be really cold, as there is no central heating. But there are some portable heaters to help you with that.

Cozy Renovated Farmhouse on 16 Acres with Trails

SusanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful time at the Farmhouse. The house is very charming, comfortable and clean. It's tastefully renovated just enough to make it stylish and comfy, but they kept most of the old farmhouse aspects that keep it charming. We loved having coffee on the front porch in the morning, tons of wild turkeys and deer strolling by. The walk next to the babbling brook is idyllic and the outbuilding with all the games was a highlight for our girls. Keith was quick to respond with any questions and the guidebook was most helpful. We will most definitely be back!

Family friendly Home/Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Yard Games

EmmaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a fabulous place! Everyone had their own place to retreat to, but we had fun gathering in the large family room. We went to be close to Shenandoah, but also had a great time at Luray caverns - highly recommend! The kitchen and large breakfast room area was perfect for accommodating our family of 7. We really did feel like it was a home away from home. The neighborhood is quiet and feels secluded, and yet you are less than 5 minutes away from restaurants, stores and attractions. Fantastic all around!!

This house was lovely! Completely as described. Very peaceful house in the countryside. We were able to walk around and enjoy the outside. House was well-stocked and decorated without being cluttered. Wonderful kitchen....we made Thanksgiving dinner there. Just 10-15 minutes to Luray Caverns, Walmart, and Food Lion. Thanks for sharing it with us, Julie!
