Vacation rentals with lake access in Onrus River

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home. Situated right next to the lagoon, it is the perfect location to relax and unwind with plenty of activities available. We will hopefully be back soon!

Heleen Airbnb was excellent , in a great location at Onrus . Onrus is a safe and popular location with beautiful walks along the sea front to a nice swimming pool created by a rock pool. Heleen was very helpful and responsive when needed .

This was the most peaceful stay and would recommend staying there every time to everyone. My family enjoyed it very much.

Our stay was really wonderful, easy check-in, and Nicki was really quick on any questions we had. The place isfar enough from the city to get the peace and quiet we were looking for, but close enough if you need something. Got the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The house is properly equipped and made the stay so much more comfortable, definitely looking forward to our next stay, definitely worth it!

We had a fantastic family stay at Carol's beautiful beach home. It was spotless. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and we felt at ease and relaxed from the minute we walked in. Nice courtyard at the back to entertain and keep out of the wind on some of the days. Otherwise, a lovely braai spot in from of the house on the verande with ocean views. Morning coffee on the veranda every day, with a view of the ocean, was a treat. Just a short walk down the path to the harbour with restaurants and little shops as well as soft serve ice cream. A brisk 2km walk down to the main beach all along the coastline making. Carol was super friendly, and her home is truly a gem.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

the place was lovely. the residents of the estate were a bit too sensitive towards music. we weren't playing music that loud and were asked to lower the volume by 9:30 in the evening. felt like it was a bit overboard. the estate manger was by all mean just doing his job by asking us to keep it down, not angry or annoyed at him in anyway.

Great location next to the Penguins' Beach. Immaculate and with everything I needed for a comfortable stay with very welcoming hosts. Waygaat restaurant in Betty's Bay is highly recommended!

We had such an incredible stay at Rene's place! Great location, clean, and really kind and helpful host. We loved the outdoor shower! Walking distance to the rock pools and beach and a short drive to Hermanus and the town. We can't wait to come back to visit.

Highly recommend this lovely apartment in the heart of some of the best vineyards in RSA. Comfortable, clean, tastefully appointment with beautiful views and garden.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

This is a beautiful apartment and excelled our expectations. The location is perfect, near plenty of restaurants and a gorgeous coastline. Kyle is an excellent host - he was very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this stay!

The room was beautifully decorated with attention to small details. From freshly ground coffee, delicious biscuits and milk in the fridge, to gorgeous persian rugs and spotless floors. Highly recommended for people who love to be wrapped in elegant surroundings.

Lovely location, remote enough for nature lovers but just 15min from Gansbaai for groceries, etc. Plenty of scenic walks for all fitness levels, multiple swimming spots, nearby Lomond wine farm has great MTB trails. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, the covered outdoor seating area with braai is a relaxing vibe. Would revisit for sure.

Super host indeed. Felt fortunate to share their family holiday home. It added to the warmth of family feeling for myself and my family as we spent Christmas at the holiday house. We spent far too little time and needed just another few days. I have not seen my parents that content in a long time. It was homely and had everything I needed, especially over the Christmas time. Sharps knives, nice stemmed wine glasses, more than sufficient and a nice variety of crockery and cutlery to entertain. An old time family holiday home. Where memories are preserved. We had a great stay. It was peaceful and the view of the mountains were amazing. Enough space to accommodate us and more than enough towels and linen. Beds were soft and comfy. Will definitely recommend if you looking for the quiet away from the city bustle. We will definitely be back. Alex was super responsive to my needs. Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a wonder full stay. Loved the outdoors, the surrounding mountains, vineyards and wildlife. The pumphouse was everything we expected from beauty, coziness and romantic. Thank you for our stay and for the compamentry wine. We will see you again

The cottage was private and plenty of outside space for our beach toys and dogs.

The photos don't do the place justice! What a lovely stay with friendly and thoughtful hosts, who went over and above the duties of great hosts. The hot tub adds a unique touch to the stay. I would definitely love to return!

Jannie was very helpful, we had a lovely time, such a peaceful place. The kids really enjoyed building with rocks in the river and we went on lots of outings to onrus beach, the Hermanus Saturday Market and various winefarms all very close by.
