Vacation rentals with a pool in Northumberland County

We had a lovely labor day weekend stay at Clayton and Stephanie's place! We went crabbing, we canoed, we swam, we fed the Koi! It was a peaceful retreat with three families, plenty of space for everyone.

A spacious home by the water. We celebrated Thanksgiving at this location and it was very special. The views are beautiful, had a fire right by the water and relaxed by the beach. A perfect getaway with family and friends. It has everything you need, the living room is super comfortable and great to relax with the family. The kitchen was spacious making it easy to cook and entertain the family. We loved the hot tub, playing pool and having family dinner. Overall a fabulous experience!! Great host- great communication. Highly recommend

My family has an amazing stay. The view never got old and it was so wonderful seeing the different colors in the sky throughout the morning and evening. We even had a double rainbow! The dock was awesome, I even jumped in the river! It was clean but a little shallow (about 4 ft at low tide I think). The pool was unreal! So clean and fun. Our family spent hours swimming and playing and laughing! Loved the screened in porch too, was so cool during the storm! Highly recommend! There isn’t a diving board on the pool that was seen in the photos and there were a few minor things that could be fixed but nothing that stopped us from having an amazing stay.

The WineDown was exactly that… a beautiful, peaceful, & relaxing place to spend our long weekend. The photos online do not do this special place justice. It is stunning & the views of the water & wildlife are phenomenal. We were there during the tail end of the hurricane & the rainy views were just as great as the sunset views. William & Jane have thought of everything to make their guests feel special from the decor to amenities. We hope to come back again to share this hidden gem with friends & family. We booked Lucky Dog Luxury River House in Weems over Christmas and were absolutely thrilled with the property and the hospitality of hosts Tim and Amy. From ease of the self check-in to the very reasonable expectations for check-out, the Lucky Dog definitely fit the bill. The house itself is well-appointed and cozy (despite its large size) which made us feel as if we were staying in our own home. Everything was immaculate and the kitchen was one of the most well-stocked we have ever experienced in an AirBnB. The beds and bedding were comparable to a luxury hotel and each bedroom had plenty of space. The separate apartment over the garage was especially nice for providing privacy and seclusion. As it was winter, we were not able to experience the full splendor of the property — the pool, boat dock, grill, and large patio await our return in the summer. Given the proximity to Irvington and Kilmarnock, this is a fabulous option for families who want to visit the Northern Neck.

All I can say is WOW! We were blown away at the beauty of the home AND the view! Relaxing and peaceful. The pool was to die for and Kathleen was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had in all our air bnb travel!!! Will definitely return AND will check out her other properties in the future. Thank you to Kathleen and her staff/team!!

This was a wonderful getaway for my family and friends. We had two toddlers that loved the river beach and pool. There were plenty of toys to keep the kids and adults busy!

This home was the perfect location for our family reunion. There are so many spaces inside and outside of the house, where we could spend time as a group or curled up with a book. The pool area was unbelievably perfect...from outside bathroom, to bar area with extra refrigerator, to lots of seating, to changing rooms, to floating devices...the list goes on...not to mention the incredible views from the pool area! The kitchen was stocked with everything you can imagine, including Keurig cups. All the beds were comfy and the grandkids loved the bunks and toddler bed. We loved the experience so much that we've already booked for next year. Many happy family memories were made there. Plus, we absolutely adore the town of Kinsale, the marina area, the Kinsale store and museum. It's a perfect place to just 'be'.

Marvelous property! Our family had a fun and relaxing Thanksgiving at Oyster Shell Cottage. Plenty of room for our large gang in this spacious and immaculately appointed cottage. The fenced yard was perfect for our pup, and the screened porch was glorious. The kids enjoyed the dock and fire pit. All of the bedrooms were comfy and cozy. Of special note was the enormous shower in the master bedroom on the ground floor! The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed. Highly recommend Oyster Shell Cottage for your family’s vacation or get away!
