Barn vacation rentals in Northern Norway

Erling might be one of the friendliest hosts I met. Was super welcoming and friendly as well as having great local recommendations he can talk you through or just provided in a little guide book. The barn itself is lovely to stay in, with amazing views and not too far from the things to do in the area.

Anne was away so Frank her partner looked after us. He met us from the boat and was so helpful and bent over backwards to settle us in. As we'd not come with much food (the food shops were all closed on the Sunday we travelled there) he gave us two fresh mackerel, which we cooked on a barbecue. The surroundings are amazing and so stunning it's hard to describe their magnificence. Also to mention that the wood fired sauna is wonderful too. Highly recommended if you want to absorb yourself in the Lofoten atmosphere - you're pretty cut off but for us that was the appeal.

We had a beautiful trip at Arnøyhamn. It was super peaceful and the house was so cozy and warm. Tone was an amazing host, she was very friendly and helpful, and she responds quickly. We recommend renting a car so that you can explore the island fully and go to the local shop. There are many hikes on the island. If you’re lucky you could even see the aurora during your stay.

This has to be one of the best accommodations I've ever been. You'll need a car because it takes more than a hour from Tromsø. But out of the crowds it is very very peaceful and quite. Pack your foods, stay for some while with no plans. That's everything you need.

MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE! We spent 5 nights at Mari's house and it was just amazing. Everything is even better than on the pictures. We could see the aurora in front of our house, the furniture is very beautiful, the sauna worked perfectly well and we could use snowshoes, that were at the house, for free. Also the location was great, as we were far enough from Äkäslompolo to be in the quiet nature but also a drive to the supermarket and restaurants didnt even take 10 minutes. We will definitely be back! Thank you for this beautiful experience!!

Lofoten Links is world class bucket list golf. This farmhouse and house is excellent for 8-10 people.

The Magrete barn is a wonder, beautiful decorated in an unbeatable location with stunning views and plenty of tranquility. She was always attentive to our requests or doubts. 100% recommended, we will be back for sure.
