Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and stunning water edge views, ilze gave us a complimentary upgrade to a better unit which only enhanced the experience. Very friendly and informative host. Perfect if you looking for a group getaway or just a getaway with your partner. Highly recommended, pictures dont do justice. The surroundings are really beautiful. 👌

Hannes's place is so lovely: private, peaceful location, the chalet being clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The photos don't do it justice! Jacques greeted us personally, and made sure we were happy with everything and we could contact them if anything cropped up, so we felt very well cared for. Wished we could have stayed longer - and made use of the braai, but we got back too late on both evenings.

We decided on the honeymoon suite, and can confirm it's a wonderfully cosy log cabin for two - perfectly rustic, and peacefully quiet. It was a wonderful break away from city, with plenty natural heritage in the surrounding area. We're very grateful for our stay, and look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful peaceful place, would definitely recommend, the road leading to the accommodation is a bit rough but other than that it's an excellent place to stay

We rented this place for several families as a homebase for 40th bday celebrations over the course of the weekend. Really great space for big contingent with big rooms, lots of common space, lots of amenities and opportunities for hosting and fun. We were lucky that even though it's going into winter, sun was out and sky cloudless so it didn't get bitterly cold in the open common spaces. Even so, there are many fireplaces scattered about. Will be a great venue particularly in spring / summer for anything from multi family or friend holiday home base in Harties to bachelor party venue. (Not being in an estate or similar means noise also isn't an issue). PS, there's a nice deck for any avid skywatchers. Brought my telescope along and had some great lunar, stellar and planetary views

I stayed at Mimie's for 3 weeks while on a work trip to Pretoria and couldn't have chosen a better place. The cabin was cosy and the plants and trees in the compound made me completely at home. Mimie's place is in a lovely and serene neighbourhood within walking distance to a shopping complex and a number of good restaurants. The highlight of my stay was Mimie's hospitality! She left snacks at my place on the first day since I was arriving in the evening and brought home made cookies for me to take home as she came to bid me farewell!

We loved it so much the first time, we just had to go a second time. Just as peaceful as ever. Just phenomenal. Definitely going back for the next getaway.

Absolutely loved our stay, the hosts were very friendly and always easy to find should you need help. The place is absolutely beautiful, loved everything about it.

Beautiful place to stay. Private and peaceful. Amazing to watch the animals whilst having your morning coffee. Didn’t use the fire pit but I’m sure it would make for a wonderful evening sipping wine and watching the sunset.

We initially had a challenge with the area for the dogs as it was removed from our cottage ... HOWEVER Ilze really went the extra mile and plus to accommodate us.. we really had alovely stay..

What a wonderful place to stay at, the host was amazing, very responsive and caring. She told us that there was issues with the electricity (solar) but we had no issues at all. Our little place had everything lovely view, well stocked with everything from the kitchen to the braai area. The host really thought of everything even mosquito replant. We had such an amazing time. If you looking for something not to far from Jhb but still want to feel like you in the bush this is the perfect place.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin with this guesthouse? Seriously, if I hit the lottery tomorrow, you wouldn't see me for dust – I'd be booking this place for a whole year! I only got to stay from Wednesday to Saturday, and honestly, that wasn't nearly enough. It didn't feel like a guesthouse at all; it felt like walking into my *own* dream house. From the moment I stepped inside, everything was just so incredibly nice. You know how sometimes places promise comfort but fall short? Not here! It had all the vibes of a chic, cozy home. There was a big, inviting sofa that just begged you to sink into it, and I absolutely loved the built-in cabinets – they just added to that custom, lived-in feel. And let's talk about the essentials, because they nailed those too. A fantastic TV for winding down after a day of exploring? Check! Essential air-conditioning for those warmer moments? Double check! But the real MVP for comfort, especially if it gets chilly, were the electric blankets. Wh

If nature, peace and quiet is what you are looking for, this is the place. We loved the large windows, great views, fireplace and the fact that hot water was always avaliable. Watching the animals grazing from our stoep were also a highlight! Please take note: You'll need a high ground clearance vehicle to reach the cottage!! Blankets are old, rather take your own.

I wanted a home away from home with my partner, we got a family instead. Host: Anita, I've no words for your customers service, they don't make them like you anymore. We had a fantastic time. Define a GOAT host and PROACTIVE- Anita and her team. Words won't sell and make a good review of this hidden gem. Just get in your car and go experience it yourself, you'll run out of words and realise why I can't say much. Privacy: 10/10 Self catering: Purely and the host will make you feel like you're at some 5 star hotel yet be in touch with nature at the same time. PS: Pure Bushveld life!! Who can visit? Adventure tourists Couples Nature tourists This is a great place to visit. People are friendly around there and they always recommend some top stuff to do and experience. Peace and tranquility?
