Loved it here! Haarlem is so quiet and peaceful. I slept fantastic during our stay which is uncommon for me when away from home. Our room was charming and the cafe (common area) was such an inviting, peaceful space. The little cafe was also so convenient. I really enjoyed going downstairs for my morning cappuccino and breakfast before setting off for the day. I would definitely stay here again, and will recommend to others. The staff were also very helpful and kind.

We had a great 3 night stay in Haarlem , a beautiful city , close to Amsterdam but out of the hustle and bustle. Lots of restaurants , bars and coffee shops . The staff at Hello I’M Local were extremely helpful , overall a very very pleasant and go back if ever we returned to Haarlem. Thank you Layla,Sharon and Gina

really nice, modern hostel with a cool,hip vibe. easy online check out online was possible and the rooms were very clean. Fresh towels every day, which we appreciated. Love the park around it, nice for taking walks and enjoy you're coffee on the Terrasse. would def come back

This is a lovely hostel, close to everything you need when staying in Amsterdam. The staff are a community, they work, communicate well together because they care. They will treat you with respect, no doubt. If you are looking to find long lasting friendships, a cheap and clean place to stay, with chill staff. This is the place for you.

A perfect solution. Felt welcomed, comfortable, and safe. Had easy access around the clock. Bed was comfortable with good quality bedding. The place was clean and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. A bargain for the price and great option for avoiding the inflated prices in Amsterdam whilst being a short €4 train ride away which runs regularly. The town centre is also stunning with colourful buildings, lots of shops and plenty of people around. 10/10. No complaints. Thank you for having us ❤️

The decision was made quite short-term and also rather out of need. But it was the best emergency accommodation ever. From which hotel can you claim that you have a huge techno party as a welcome XD The style was as you needed in: good enough to sleep while the whole thing was digging around the city. I would even like to come again .

The generator is a nice place to stay on a budget. I got the king room and was expecting a bit of a balcony from the pictures, but did not have one. It is right next to a quaint park which provided a nice view with sunrise. The accommodation is a smidge far for the city center. I completed the walk in to explore the city, but it was a bit longer than most would like. The staff was very sweet and helpful with local tips and recommendations. Overall, I recommend if you are looking for a budget and okay with a longer walk to city center.

Really nice hostel, very friendly people working there, they gave great recommendations and make you feel right at home. Also didn’t meet a single person while I was there who wasn’t friendly which made the experience 10x more comfortable. Will be staying here again in the future!
