Charming, Peaceful, Magical - Baby Yurt

AllisonRating, 5 stars5 months ago
My first yurt! Thoughtfully designed and has the perfect little forest around it, complete with a bubbling fountain that sounds wonderful and relaxing. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Convenient to everything I needed, peaceful and serene environment, all the amenities were as described, and Ellen is a beautiful soul. So glad we stayed here. We will be back!

Dancin' Wolf Yurt @ #1 Rock Tavern River Kamp

AlexRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our family of four stayed here during a cool winter night on the edge of freezing. The yurt was clean and spacious and TOASTY when we arrived. Overnight the indoor temperature dropped into the 50s, but Annette had warned us to bring extra blankets and we were all perfectly comfortable. The provided pillows and linens were comfortable, and the heated mattress cover on the queen worked wonders. The location itself is okay in the winter. We felt we had to keep an eye on the kids given the pitch down to the river and the speed of the road, but they both enjoyed it. The lot itself doesn’t connect to walking trails or larger areas to explore which was too bad. By car, it was very accessible to town and to the Luray caverns. Definitely a fun way to do an overnight!

This is our second time staying in Stacy’s yurt and it very much works for our family of 4 with dog. We camp a lot so feel very comfortable with any rustic parts of the yurt. And the view and stars are lovely!

Dreamy Yurt “1 of 23 Best Glamping Spots in U.S”

AimeeRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The Yurt was so much fun. It is camping, or glamping I should say, so keep that in mind. But it did have everything we needed. It was a little cold at night, but Pam got us extra heating blankets to help. Pam was very responsive to our needs and she went out of our way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was shared with one other Yurt and the water was warm (not hot) but, remember, you are GLAMPING so that should be expected. The microwave and the wifi are in the "barn," which is a short walk away. I have AT&T and had no service in the Yurt. We loved our time there and will definitely consider coming back again. It is in such an amazing location and you do get away from all the crazy of city life.

Garden Home Backyard Yurt Experience

JennaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This yurt was so peaceful and serene. Loved falling asleep to the soft sounds of rain on the canvas. Had everything we needed. Fireplace worked amazingly to keep us warm. The kitchen accessories were high quality and made us feel taken care of. Walking to the bathroom inside the house wasn’t an issue - just wish I had remembered to bring a robe and some sandals! The dome skylight doesn’t have a shade, so if you like sleeping in complete darkness, that might be challenging. My partner and I are now super inspired to look into living in a yurt someday!! Will definitely be staying here again when we visit Portland! Thanks Michael!

Quiet Retreat for Two

MyaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My Mum and I had the most wonderful, peaceful weekend away. The Yurt is beautiful & clean, and perfectly matched the pictures. Nicholas was an awesome host! He gave us a comprehensive tour and was very responsive to our questions. We drove up to a winter wonderland and made use of the snowshoes & went on several walks around the forest property. The temperatures reached -17 overnight & by wearing some extra layers and keeping the wood fire stove burning, we were very comfortable and warm. I couldn’t recommend this Airbnb more. If you’re looking to get out of the city, put your phone down & enjoy some beautiful scenery this is the perfect place to do it. Our first Yurt experience was a success, we can’t wait to book another Yurt stay soon:)

Spring Ridge Yurt-True Glamping-Hot Tub-Nantahala

MelissaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our yurt, very clean nice floors, nice view, peaceful area, there wasn’t much close by except for trails which were very beautiful. Gorgeous river right outside. The hot tub was wonderful, the kitchen had about everything we needed for cooking and baking. The only thing I will say is there were a couple of cobwebs on top of certain spots, but even with that we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. It was overall very homey.

The Sunflower Yurt Cabin, cozy with warm fireplace

Piyush KumarRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We went for a weekend getaway. The experience was what we expected it to be. It was surrounded by the woods, we got to light our own fire in the pit, roasted a few things. However, due to light rains had to wrap it up a little early (can't do anything about it), still thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen is equipped to prepare some basic stuff, and an outdoor BBQ for some heavy cooking (if weather permits). We were welcomed by the hosts and their two cute dogs. Expect that there will be other dogs around, as this is a pet friendly place. We made our own fire in the fire pit and room heater, there was plenty of wood, and tools to prepare kindling. We didn't need the room heater in fall season. My only feedback would be for washroom. Sometimes the smell can creep in the yurt if the flap in the toilet doesn't close correctly. Overall I would highly recommend the place, it was as it is put in the description.

Tranquil Forest Retreat – Escape the Ordinary

TaraRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It was truly more amazing in person. We walked up into the yurt, it was beautifully light up, cozy, and warm. The outdoor BBQ area was lovely as well. We got to see an eagle on the drive in and a fawn deer crossed our path while hanging by the fire. Would highly recommend and we will be returning to this relaxing get away.

Natural Mongolian Yurt on Biodynamic Farm and Spa

AmberRating, 5 stars1 month ago
this is my 2nd time staying at Elisa's yurt, this time was even better than the first time! I love the added mini lamps this time as my lamps never make it bright in the yurt, I'm not sure how to charge them so it was a little dark on the 2nd night but that was fine. the location is amazing, the 2 dogs are so cute and the spa was perfect I highly suggest booking it out! the only thing that could make this better is if there was an easier way of washing dishes and getting extra water. all in all a perfect stay and we can't wait to visit again.

"Shanti Yurt" with private hot tub in Bragg Creek

SamRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The yurt is fantastic - beautiful location and has everything you would need, we would happily stay a week there. Every little thing was thought about and considered. My partner enjoyed chopping wood for the fire and getting that going and the outside seating area, hot tub and fire table is amazing. Wish we could’ve stayed there longer - we’ll definitely visit again in the future

We had a beautiful and cozy stay. The yurt was a great way to do some winter camping and still be warm. There are lovely hikes nearby and it feels super remote while also not being too far from all the things you might need.

Yellow Dog Yurt - Peace and Quiet near Marquette

DougRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Elysa’s yurt is an absolute gem! If you’re looking for a peaceful, off-grid retreat surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. The yurt is cozy and well-equipped with comfortable bedding, a simple kitchen, and a woodstove that keeps it nice and warm. The battery-powered string lights add a charming touch, and the sauna is a wonderful bonus—especially after a day of outdoor adventures. The setting is quiet and serene, ideal for hikers, skiers, and anyone who enjoys silent sports. The respect for nature and the neighboring community makes for a truly relaxing stay. Despite feeling wonderfully remote, it's only a short drive to Marquette, where you can explore local shops, restaurants, and attractions. Elysa is a fantastic host—responsive, thoughtful, and committed to providing a great experience. If you’re looking for a rustic, rejuvenating escape, I highly recommend this yurt. Can’t wait to return! 🌿🔥

Off Grid Yurt At Inshallah

SamuelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at the yurt was amazing. The place is vast, the nights are perfectly quiet and dark for resting. There something really soothing in the ritual of warming the place and the sauna every night. I strongly recommand staying there, but carefully read the ad considering that this might not be the experience some guest expecting luxury are looking for.

Glamp in a yurt- camping but with style & comfort.

BetsyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Fran was an exceptional host, and the yurt was such a fun way to ring in the New Year. I won't mince words: it was chilly, but the buddy heater was a welcome amenity, and the bed was beyond comfy and piled high with blankets. The bathhouse 250 steps away was terrific, but by far and away my favorite perk was the en suite--the composting toilet around the corner on the deck, something I didn't know about until I arrived! Fran thinks of everything, and, given I was starving on arrival, the freshly baked bread was such a welcome treat. If you're a beer drinker, don't miss Blue Mountain Barrel House & Smokin' Barrel Restaurant. Thank you, Fran!

Tree Yurt

MaggieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
If you are looking for a cozy getaway to the woods that keeps you close to both cities and beautiful wild areas, this is it. The walk back to the yurt is private and beautiful -- between the fall foliage, the little mushrooms growing along the path, and all the chipmunks and squirrels there to greet you, it's something out of a storybook. The place is lit up well at night, with very cozy lighting inside as well! The woodstove was enough to keep me warm, even as a person now accustomed to Florida weather, and there were SO MANY blankets made available just in case. It was so lovely to lay in bed at night and watch the stars through the top of the yurt and listen to the acorns fall and roll down the sides - I've never slept more deeply at an Airbnb. The bathroom is outside, but the motion lights at night made it easy to go about my business. If you're a camper, it will feel like a luxurious little setup! I couldn't recommend it enough. Such a wonderful place to take a breather!

Monte Cristo Yurt

DerekRating, 5 stars2 months ago
It was great, beautiful location and a really cool yurt. The fireplace kept the place warm, and there were plenty of beds for a big group. We snow shoed there, it was 7.2 miles each way, took us about 3.5 hours each trip. The only complaint about the yurt was it listed there being a half bath but that turned out to just be an outhouse. Otherwise exactly what we expected, the host did a great job being available to contact and left extremely detailed explanations for everything.

City of Rocks Retreat - Pinion Yurt (Pets welcome)

MikeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Second time staying in the yurt. City of rocks is one of my favorite places in the world. This makes for a very comfortable and “rustic” stay when the weather is questionable. Kind of a glamping feel. Unlike most yurts I’ve stayed in, you do need to bring everything to cook, including pots pan and utensils. But I knew that going into it and was well prepared. I also missed the word, burning stove for nostalgic reasons , but the gas heater kept us plenty warm and we did not have to get up to feed the fire through the night. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
