We really enjoyed our stay — the place is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting. It’s surrounded by nature, which makes it ideal if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing escape. A couple of things to keep in mind: having a car is definitely recommended, as the property is about 30 minutes from downtown Bacalar. Getting around without transportation could be a bit difficult. Also, the house has an open-space design — there are no doors or fully enclosed rooms — so sound travels easily, and you’ll likely hear everything going on in other areas. Just something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise or traveling with a group. That said, the service was excellent. The hosts were extremely kind and responsive. They allowed us to leave our luggage well before check-in and even gave us wristbands to access a nearby balneario, which was a lovely surprise. Overall, it’s a wonderful place with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We’d definitely stay again!

Loved our time away on the lake!

Just amazing ! Place where you find La Paz you are looking for. I read about people they didn't like because it's hard to get to or because they didn't have a TV. Go to town or to an all inclusive ! Hahaha. It's perfect to rest and be with your partner away from people's bustle. We recommend it 100% Thank you Katy and company for everything Seba y Edu

We absolutely loved this place. The house was more beautiful and special in person. We were really immersed in the jungle, so many big windows! It was simple and elegant. The lighting is amazing. The kitchen was great, we cooked a lot. The dock, kayaks, etc all perfect. This is such an amazing spot. We saw a coati, so many birds and butterflies, fish, insects (one scorpion, but they're not so dangerous). We REALLY appreciated how environmentally friendly this house is, and how many ways we were gently reminded to care for our surroundings. The caretaker was great, too. The water on the north end of the lake has lost its color due to humans, or so we were told, but kayaking was still great, and further south you'll find the colors. It seems like the lake can recover its color, so please, no lotions or sunscreens or bug spray or makeup when you swim. Don't take shells or snails. Be so gentle with this incredible, unique place. A million times better than the beach, we'll return.

House was amazing! Communication with the host was great,fast responses and very helpful.

The space was incredibly welcoming, calm, and gorgeous. The views were absolutely breathtaking at sunset. We were able to kayak early in the morning along the beautiful shoreline. The kitchen is absolutely amazing and allowed us to prepare our own gourmet meals. The spider monkey visitors were an additional treat too! This house and space offered our family and friends the serenity and space to make wonderful memories!
