A cozy comfortable refuge from the busy streets of Kyoto. Checkin was easy and the location is ideal - just a few steps to Kiyomizudera. In spite of the crowds heading up local streets, this house is set back and very quiet. A beautiful forest is visible out the back of the house, with a wonderful tub to enjoy the view. We also appreciated the immediate responsiveness of the hosts by text. Highly recommended.

Who says winter is gloomy? I think winter is the most fun here. It's a unique landscape that looks like a warm spring here. Fortunately, we were blessed with the last snowfall of the year. Wake up in the morning, sit by the stove, listen to the crackling fire, drink a steaming cup of coffee, and watch the snow fall outside the window. I wish time would stop at this moment... By the way, the kids had too much fun playing in the snow and got a fever at night. The host brought me a hot compress and porridge. They also extended our checkout time the next day. Thanks to you, my daughter finally got better. I'm really grateful! I'm looking forward to a day when I can play in the cool river again in the summer.

Our host was excellent. Proactive communication, friendly and helpful. I failed my responsibility of checking out to standard, but the host was still very gracious. This was a great place to stay.

This is my first time in Japan, and meeting the lovely yumi and harufumi at haruya in these two days was the best experience of this trip. This house and the owner and everyone I met are different, kind, warm and sincere. You can feel it from their smiles. And I was very lucky to join their yoga activities, which allowed me to meet new friends. By the way, there is also the lovely lily. This is awesome! You can feel the attention to detail of Yumi and Farufumi in the house. You can hear the sound of the stream, the sound of the leaves swaying, and the sound of various insects chirping at night. It really slows down time. I will come back with my loved ones if I have the chance!

A very warm and comforting stay.The area is beautiful and so is the cozy air bnb room right under a cute cafe. I would however recommend you rent a car if you’re unable to walk 17min to bus stop.

My husband and I stayed with a couple of dogs. The day before, on the way back to Kyoto, I stayed in Ohama and found it because I wanted to stay another night. Located in the villa zone along Kuxi Road.So it's quiet and you'll have no trouble walking. In the evening walk, we walked the cycling road on Kawai Road to see the snow scenery on the other side. The room was also laid back, easy to do housework, and very relaxing with the dog. It is recommended.
