Family-friendly vacation rentals in New York

My family had a wonderful stay at William’s place, the children were very excited they especially loved the upstairs bed…can’t tell why the bed makes them happy 😅 but, from they are happy, I am happy. The stay was a good one, thank you William for your quick response when called upon, and for making sure that the stay was a good one.

Easy to get along with host. My guest and I felt right at home

The house is very nice, the three rooms are perfect to rest after getting to know the city. The house is located in a good neighborhood, it is a quiet neighborhood, it should be noted that it does not have parking but the parking spaces are on the street, try not to park too late because you cannot find one, I parked every day between 8 and 9 pm, you do not have to worry about the neighborhood because it is too quiet. She is very quick to respond and helps you with everything point I am totally grateful with the stay at the house, me and my family. I recommend this house 100% to get to know the city of New York, it is very close, it takes very few minutes by car to go and get to know the city every day you want.

The house was absolutely beautiful well cap very clean and organize. I rented this place for Christmas so there was ample items that we found usable to make a beautiful Christmas table presentation. I would highly recommend this place again. Thank you Martha for your hospitality.

The property is as described. A great value it is you're staying in the area! There were 3 of us, and we were cozy. It was clean, secure, and the host was very kind and communicated instructions for check in clearly. Would stay again if we travel here again!

We really loved our stay at Rhonda's - she was warm, welcoming and helpful! The space was perfect for our needs, and Rhonda went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed and knew how everything worked. Space was comfortable and as described and the location was very convenient for everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely stay again when back in NYC! Note, this is a much more "traditional" AirBNB in that you are staying on the bottom floor of a family home, so know that you'll sometimes hear footsteps from above and the normal bustle of life. Caroline's B&B, is very clean, well stocked, and very easy to get in and out of. The water pressure is great, and the place is very spacious. If you are staying at Caroline's place while in the city, some things to keep in mind. The mass transit situation leaves a bit to be desired. While there is the Metro North rail close (in context to the MTA subway stations), they have a much less regular schedule than the subways and are at minimum $9 fare per ride (one way). There are subway stops relatively close (4,5,6) within 3 miles, but the Uber fares to get to any one of them will cost anywhere from $21 - $26, each way. McLean ave and Kenotah Ave are great places, again relatively close, to grab drinks and pub fare, but also it costs ya for the ride to and from. My recommendation to combat the travel costs, plan your day accordingly so you when you return you are in and staying. The neighborhood is great, quiet, and peaceful.

This is the best stay as always!

We had a peaceful garden apartment stay at Margo and Vipin’s. 2 very comfortable bedrooms and a beautiful outdoor garden area. Private, secure, and spotless! Felt like home with lots of blankets and towels. Walkable to transportation, restaurants, and shopping, while situated on a quiet, family-friendly street. Kindly, they were flexible with the checkin and checkout we needed. Sparkling bathroom!

This was our second time staying at this home, and just like the first time, everything was perfect. The place is exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It suits my family, who visit me every year from abroad, perfectly. The location is convenient, the neighborhood is quiet, and the hosts are absolutely lovely—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. We truly feel at home here and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend!

We had a very nice visit at Michael's place while visiting family in the area. We loved the spacious accommodations with private driveway, separate living room, bath, kitchen and dining areas. The neighborhood is nice with the house convenient to restaurants and grocery shopping. We had everything we needed, and Michael was responsive, communicative and helpful. We hope to return again sometime and stay a bit longer.

Really lovely place -- exactly what I was looking for (2 bedrooms and a place to park the car and leave it while in NYC). The beds were very comfortable, the apartment very clean. They gave really clear instructions on how to catch the NJ Transit bus.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! Henri was incredibly responsive and made sure all of my questions were answered promptly, which made the whole process seamless and stress-free. The home itself was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was spacious and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials, from kitchen items to fresh linens. I felt right at home from the moment I arrived. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and well-equipped spot to stay!

This house was a lovely place for our family trip! Our party of 4 had plenty of room to spread out, beach is just a few min away, along with restaurants, shops etc. There is plenty of room in the backyard, but my family really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and playing cards. Everything we needed was there, and all questions answered quickly! I would definitely book again!!

Great location close to the airport. Very clean Airbnb. 2 balcony views in both bedrooms. Felt at home. Check in was very simple and the Airbnb was very easy to find. The price was very affordable and it was a great location with many amenities within a short drive. I would recommend others booking this location. Also! The bed was comfy with memory foam. Loved it. David's Airbnb is the best place to stay at if you're looking for quiet and safe location to rest in. In my case the perfect place to get work done without any distractions and get some much needed rest. The place was filled with all the necessary essentials, from clean dishware and towels/toiletries and even extra food to use. David, the host himself, was also incredibly helpful throughout the Airbnb stay; consistently responsive. Checks in on you to make sure if you're ok and to answer any questions you may have. Finally the best thing about this host is that while I did not know what to do around the neighborhood; David was kind enough to provide a binder full of information regarding restaurants, things to do, and details about the Airbnb itself. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb for the homely aesthetic, peaceful neighborhood, and access to variety things to do. I most definitely look forward to reserving this Airbnb again in the future.
