Gayle has hosted our staff before when they are working nights in New Plymouth, location is fantastic very quiet. Great host and always one of the first locations we look for when New Plymouth work comes up.

Such a cool little space in a peaceful part of Taranaki. The security of knowing my pup was safe and sound while I popped out was also relief. Ended up extending my stay and it was effortless.

We had a fantastic stay! The EcoInn was super cozy and felt like a true cottage in the wild, perfectly nestled next to a beautiful mountain. The self-sustainability features were incredibly impressive and added to the charm of the place. Linda and Michael were wonderful hosts—friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

Tanya and her partner are exceptionally welcoming, friendly and hospitable hosts. We felt right at home at their place and really enjoyed the peacefulness of it as well as yummy treats from their farm and local market. We also appreciated the useful hiking suggestions they gave. They helped us to enjoy Egmont National Park despite the unpredictable weather.

Linda was an incredible host, adding a special touch with her homemade bread and even arranging for the cows to be in the neighboring paddock so we could feed them in the morning. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate for a clear view of Taranaki, but it was still a fantastic experience.

Great place to stay if you visit New Plymouth. Despite its proximity to the airport we didn’t hear a single aircraft over our 2 night stay!

Janet is an absolute delight, as is her home. Both creative, welcoming and exceeded all expectations. We felt this was much more of an experience than a stay. If you engage with the experience, walk around the property, view mountain Taranaki, feed the llama’s and Alpacas, view her gorgeous flowers and try spinning. We throughly recommend this creative property and can’t thank Janet enough for making our stay so special.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Carrington Cottage! This home is so peaceful, perfect for pets! The sunroom on the side of the house was my favorite spot to sit and read while listening to the wildlife (birds, cows, sheep). We loved our time here, we hope to be back again next year! Notes: - Yard isn’t fully fenced but it’s big - we enjoyed sitting under the tree and reading. - No WiFi but we had great cell service so it wasn’t an issue. - About a 5 min drive to grocery store - Private & Peaceful, perfect retreat for a couple! We highly recommend this Airbnb - you are close enough to the city that it’s convenient. Kitchen & bathroom have all the basics. Hosts were responsive with any questions!

I have to start by saying that it is the best place I have ever stayed. Everything you can read in the description and see in the photos is totally identical and even better. Clean, quiet and with all the amenities you could want and need. The spa pool is wonderful as are the animals that surround you. I will definitely return and 100% recommend Grant and Tracey are the best hosts, very attentive and friendly. If my partner and I went there it is because we had to because it is totally cozy. Anita and Tony were wonderful hosts. They greeted us and made us feel right at home. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and we loved exploring them and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The eels were so cool and so much fun for our little boy to feed and watch. The home itself was cozy and restful. Great place to stay!

Holli is a great host. She is a very friendly, nice and kind lady who always made us feel like home. Her pet was an extra fun for my kids. Place is very clean, quite and nice. Recommend for staying at her place. Value for money!
