The Perfect Nantucket Getaway for 2 or 10 People!

The house is located on the prettiest corner over looking long pond and the ocean. You can’t beat the sunsets here! 2 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on Nantucket. 4 minute walk to Millie’s for the most delicious tacos and margaritas. 4 minute walk to the shuttle that can take you into town for the best shopping and dinners! We are open to different lengths of stay, please contact the host to talk about different options!

1930s Nantucket Cottage

Charming and rustic unheated Nantucket cottage just a 5 minute barefoot stroll through open dunes to Surfside Beach. Clean and quiet retreat with comfortable beds and out and indoor showers. Three bedrooms sleep 6 with a futon in the living room that can sleep two. Star gaze after dinner. Fall asleep to the sound of the surf. Bicycle everywhere. Relax completely.

We had a wonderful stay The place was pristine and the rooms as pictured. We had several options for breakfast coffee, tea, coffee cake , yogurt, fruit juice, water , fresh fruit and pumpkin balsa over the two days The place is private and has wonderful views. It was peaceful. I would recommend bringing your car. Although taxis, Uber and lift are readily available.

Nanci’s lovely and the place reminds me of our cottage up in Michigan. If you want a 3-5 star hotel go stay at one, this is rustic and quaint and was perfect for our stay. The description is spot on. If you don’t read it- that’s on you. Thank you to Nanci and her lovely family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable, walking distance to town for shopping and dining. Shuttles available in town taking us to beaches. Each morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast which we enjoyed on the pretty patio! Thank you Matt and Claudia!

Nanci welcomed us into her family's beach cottage. My spouse and I needed a place to stay one night after a wedding on the island and everything around the downtown area was already booked. It seemed quite expensive to us for a room in someone's home, but we learned that everything on the island is super expensive. The small room, share bathroom and outdoor shower met all our needs for getting ready for the wedding, resting afterwards and rinsing after a beach run the next day. Aside from Nanci's hospitality, what made it very much worth it was the sea breeze, stars, deer and proximity to the beach.

We loved our short trip to Nantucket and staying at this hidden gem! Matthew and the team were extremely responsive, warm and welcoming. We got in early and were able to leave our luggage and use the facilities to freshen up before exploring the beach and town. When we checked in our room was beautifully set up with a king size bed in one room and a pull out queen sized bed in the other room - plenty of space for us and our two young daughters. It was like getting two rooms for the price of one during peak summer months. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to go around. While the inn doesn’t cater to young families, (it’s a quiet spot and the sound carries) the team went out of their way to make sure my girls still felt at home. The girls loved exploring the little library and outdoor patio, etc. and the always available homemade cookies were a huge hit. Thank you so much Matthew and team for welcoming us to the inn - we can’t wait to return!
