Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Nantahala Lake

Our mother was in the care center near by and was passing. This home was nearby and a perfect refuge for my sister, brother and I, during a very hard time. We weren't there much but the beds were comfortable when we were able to sleep for a couple of hours. Thankful we were able to book it on very short notice

I booked Robin's beautiful home as part of an experiential Christmas gift to my family centered around the Great Smoky Mountain railroad's Polar Express train ride. To say our stay at the NC Mountain View home was perfect would be an understatement. I've hosted and stayed with Airbnb many times, but Robin's thoughtful hosting style and beautiful home have set a new gold-standard for me and mine. The home was even better in person than is conveyed through the beautiful pictures in the listing. Truly spectacular from the glorious location to the spectacular architectural details. What elevated this stay even further were Robin's carefully thought out amenities and touches. The grand 20' Christmas tree was a lovely surprise, but the hand-crafted, bespoke ornaments left for us on the tree was the sweetest, most thoughtful gesture. The home is equipped with absolutely everything you could want or need during your stay. 10/10 I would recommend staying here. I know we will again!

I desperately needed some peace and quiet, and I found it at Wanda’s beautiful cabin. This was my second visit, and won’t be my last!

This is a beautiful spot--along the Sellers Creek--in the heart of Enchanted Valley allows for the quiet and calm of the surrounding foothills and mountains of northeast Georgia. With proximity to the Young Harris campus and all that Hiawassee and Brasstown, North Carolina have to offer, we loved our stay. Nancy and David were incredibly kind and responsive and helpful throughout.

Brenda’s home is ideally situated minutes to Cherokee, in a peaceful private neighborhood. The rooms were spacious and the home was well equipped. Big windows overlook the large outdoor living space with grill and fire pit. There is level, covered parking and entrance area. It’s a great place to gather with friends as we did, but I think it would be perfect for families too, as there are plenty of private and shared living spaces. The beds were so comfortable I am going to contact Brenda to see where she got the mattresses 😉 I hope we get back soon!

The house is amazing, very beautiful. When we arrived in the evening, the owners had kindly left lights, Christmas lights on and it looked amazing in the night! Like in fairytale. The house is as beautiful as a museum. It's incredibly decorated. Pictures do not convey this, in the evening with lights inside looks incredible. Every room is decorated in a designer way. The house has a very interesting history of its owners. The house has everything you need. All utensils, spices, sugar, tea, coffee. They even gifted us gingerbread, it was very nice, thank you! There is a game room on the grounds, a grill where we fried meat and fish. There is a fire pit and a small pond. The place is very quiet. It was very comfortable to live in this house with Usb chargers, night lights, light remotes.

We had a great time with our family here for Thanksgiving! Great space and the cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Tanya was very responsive and helpful in every way!

The coziest place to stay and has everything you might need. It made for an incredible trip. The view from the house is unreal, absolutely breathtaking, and Joan was the most incredible host! She is so sweet and attentive, and my children loved her. She even got some toys for them to take home, and brought activities for them to do during our stay! So wonderful. Don’t pass this place up! But WARNING: you might cry when you have to leave 😂

What a magical place Highlands is during Christmas. My wife and I wanted to go there for the Christmas parade and the play at the Highlands Playhouse Wine Time was a perfect location. Parade right in front of the unit and walking distance to everywhere. Above a wine shop with a great selection. I am so glad we chose this place and will hopefully be back!

Excellent location to everything Bryson City has to offer. Very pleased with house and would definitely stay here again.

Good location, especially if you're riding the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad (in our case, the Polar Express) - easily walkable to the train and restaurants, so you don't have to deal with more driving and parking!

Great place in Bryson City with street access right in the middle of town near everything. Very nice place, would love to stay again when we go back.

This was my first experience staying in an Airbnb where the hosts lived above the unit, and it was a positive one!! Dave and Barb were exceptional hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy mountain getaway, our conversations, and their warm hospitality. Their space is comfortable and inviting, providing an ideal retreat after a day of hiking, mining, or exploring. I highly recommend booking their place if you seek a peaceful and scenic experience in Franklin without exceeding your budget. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I've stayed here multiple times now and look forward to every time I am in town. Lisa and her Husband are amazing people and always enjoyable to talk to.

We enjoyed our stay and the home! The hosts were informative and non-invasive. We were a 2 minute drive from everything in town and a 10 minute drive to some really cool places in the Park, such as the waterfalls and the Road To Nowhere Tunnel. The place was private but we had a cool view overlooking the city and could hear the Polar Express music drifting up the mountain when we stopped to listen. The Sauna was super relaxing and added a fun spa-like element to the space. My daughter and I also liked the bunk beds!

Our stay at Lynne’s place was a wonderful experience. Everything was as advertised. She was a responsive and courteous host, and I highly recommend staying at Lynne’s if you are seeking a clean, comfortable, spacious, and convenient spot to stay while you visit Bryson City and the surrounding amenities.

Loved the location, the view was wonderful, and the house was super clean. There was board games and smart tvs for when we wanted entertainment. It was perfectly relaxing

If you want peace and quiet, this is the place to come to in the north Georgia mountains of Sky Valley. Beautiful views especially at sunset, hearing the chapel bells ringing, watching the humming birds fly around during the day and at night the bats, and friendly neighbors. The unit was roomy and comfortable. There were a few light bulbs burned out upon arrival and our host was very responsive and a maintenance gentleman was there soon to replace them. Lots of local activities and great restaurants in nearby Highlands and Franklin, NC and Clayton, GA. For walkers the Sky Valley golf course closes at 7 p.m. and it's great walking or jogging around the beautiful course.

We reserved this for a pastor who was traveling out of town. He was so impressed by how nice and clean it was. Ann was an absolute gem and responded quickly to any questions we had. Thanks again we highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy, comfortable condo. It was perfect for the 2 of us. The view of the fall colors from the back patio was beautiful. Jennifer is a great host and was responsive to any questions. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot next to the lake. We were visiting for a wedding and this was the ideal location for our family to be flexible with the wedding at the Resort. Highly recommend.

The views off the top floor balcony are stunning! A great view of the sunrise over the lake. The house is very large and spacious with all the amenities you would need for a long stay. Well stocked utensils and cookware in the kitchen. A great loft area that turned into our prime hangout spot. Patricia is very quick and responsive and the check-in/out was a breeze.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The views from the house are incredible. It is very peaceful. The place was clean. Nina was very helpful and responsive when needed. We used the pool and hot tub, which was a short walk down the driveway. I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area!
