Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Myoko

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this lodge! The location is perfect—just a short walk to Echoland, the supermarket, and the bus stop, making it incredibly easy to get to the ski resorts. We spent almost a month here and were thoroughly impressed with the comfort and convenience. Nick and Hiro’s hospitality truly made our experience even more special. We’re beyond satisfied and can’t wait to return next season. Thank you both for making our stay unforgettable!

Our stay at the Red Gate Lodge in Kijimadaira was exceptional! The lodge is perfectly located at the edge of the ski piste, letting you step straight onto the slopes toward the ski lift. Even during New Year, the slopes were uncrowded, offering a peaceful yet exhilarating skiing experience. The lodge itself is cozy and full of charm, making it the perfect retreat after a day outdoors. What truly made our stay special was the host—his kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality were outstanding. He helped us with ski equipment and passes, shared local tips, and cooked delicious meals when nearby restaurants were closed. His culinary skills and great conversations made our evenings truly enjoyable. We highly recommend the Red Gate Lodge for anyone seeking a memorable and relaxing getaway in Japan!

Jacob and Josie and Justin at Altitude Madarao looked after us really well. They provide breakfast every day with variety of choices. There’s a slope just about less than 100m walk and you can get lift passes and gear rental in the shop near carpark 7. Great host overall, highly recommended to anyone. They try to create homely atmosphere, where we felt from the day one. Thanks team Altitude Madarao..

the owner are the most heart warming folks that i have encountered. the air bnb feels like home and even its winter, the place is always warmed up for the guests. i also love how friendly the other guests were. everyone just gathered and chit chat no matter which country you came from. 100% for this place. the shared onsen was also great with fantastic snow cap mountain view. i will definitely come back here again if i ever come back to asakusa again. take care and stay healthy till we meet again. 😀

We stayed in the room with the unique, handmade bunk beds – such a cozy and warm space! The lodge is situated in a beautiful location, not far from Myoko, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The owner worked tirelessly every day to clear the snow so we could park without any trouble – such dedication! Breakfast was a treat, with a delicious variety each day, from eggs to yogurt and more. The hosts were incredibly kind and spoke excellent English, making everything even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this Airbnb – it’s an absolute 5-star experience!

Great location. For ski-in ski-out on a small mountain. The host is incredibly kind and accommodating. He drove us many places: the store for food and necessities, local onsen, restaurants, ski resorts, etc. He helped us navigate all aspects of our trip. The accommodations are simple and rustic but the location and the host make this place a contender for anyone who wants ski-in ski-out on a beginner/intermediate mountain.

Had a lovely stay at Kaiya lodge, the accomodation was cozy, very clean, breakfast was great and all the hospitality staff - Trent, Amy, Mai and Momo - were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful. location is near the main gondola so good for those who wish to ski/board frequently. Walkable to the main street for restaurants. terrain in Nozawa village is hilly so just be prepared to walk up and down slopes. Mark the main host was quick to reply my Qns and sent very helpful info ahead of the trip. thanks Mark! Overall value for money stay!

The lodge is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and a serene atmosphere. The rooms are not only spacious but also incredibly comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast was not only delicious but also varied and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the homemade sourdough bread. Thank you for everything.

We had an incredible stay with Annie and Dutchie. They both went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We have stayed at many air bnb’s and would have to say this is our favourite! The food and conversations with them and other guests was an unexpected bonus. Madarao is a wonder mountain surrounded by a cute town which is easily walkable from their lodge or they provide a shuttle to many local spots which is also an option. We did rent a car which helped us explore other mountains during our ski adventure. You won’t be disappointed if you stay with Annie, Ditchie and their super attentive staff!

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was perfect for our ski trip - being close to the mountains and convenient for ski rentals. The team made it easy for us throughout our stay including getting to and leaving the area. The common area was cozy and perfect to relax in during bad weather.

Amazing apartment in a nicely refurbished house 50m from slopes (Sakka lift). Taka-san was the nicest host driving us from the station and being very responsive. He has a rental ski place in the lodge for all ski and snow...and clothes! The apartment is new, very nicely decorated and built, kitchen is totally equiped and it feels very warm. I highly recommend for friends, families and couples! We will come back!

Great location and perfect furnishing. Dog friendly amenities. The only problem is that it is so popular that it is difficult to get a reservation.

Had a great stay in mid December. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating which was a highlight. Really appreciated transportation to/from the lodge for skiing in Hakuba. The common spaces are nicely decorated and well-kept. The room was clean and good for crashing after skiing or traveling. Would recommend!

We loved staying at Naomi's place. Nori and Naomi were super friendly and helpful. Nori speaks excellent English too.

Recent renovations are amazing, large rooms, powerful heaters. A 30 second walk to the Sakka ski lift, great bar/restaurant right next door, Netflix on a large LCD. Very cozy. Highly recommend. 5 stars!!
