Farmstay vacation rentals in Murray River

My family had a wonderful stay at The Barn. Alison and Ross are lovely hosts and very helpful with clear instructions. The property is great and comfortable for about 7-8 people with all bedrooms on level 1 (upstairs) and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Great size indoor living and outdoor bbq area, including a fire pit for cool evenings, and the paddocks surrounding the property have some friendly rams. You also get to see heaps of kangaroos in the morning and around sunset. Clean and comfortable property and I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Healesville. Only thing missing were some extra bathroom amenities (toilettries) proportionate to 7-8 people staying but I’m sure if you request Alison and Ross they will ensure to make it available for your stay! We found the cottage to be an excellent location, very peaceful with lots of birds and wildlife nearby. It is the perfect place to relax as a family and in the region there are so many things to do and see only within a short distance away. I highly recommend this airbnb.

Really enjoyed our stay and the house had everything we needed, really love the barbecue on the decking with the bar overlooking the mountains, enjoyed feeding the cows and it just had that comfortable country stay. We will definitely be returned visitors . Thanks Lucy for the note.

Diane was an amazing host. She has a lovely place with nice view. Loved her enthusiasm for her farm. She made an effort to show us around. We, especially our kids loved it. Our son cannot stop talking about the cows and horse. We will definitely come back to the farm in cooler weather.

An extremely beautiful place to relax and unwind close to Yarra Valley wineries. Gorgeous grounds and porch with comfortable chairs littered throughout. Beautiful country welcome with cake, bread and little touches like chocolate and lavender. Gorgeous animals and dogs on property. Well be back😊

exactly what we needed. a peaceful stay in a well maintained, clean, and comfortable cottage. Stunning maintained, yet wild garden, peaceful walks on the property to have a look at the old trees, cows and sheep. great BBQ, kitchen had everything we needed , lovely clean towels and friendly owners. We also got some delicious eggs and sausages from the farm too. Our toddler adored the 2 friendly and relaxed dogs (so did we) and we all look forward to going again!! location wise, it was great to be near Castlemaine but not in Castlemaine. Quirky dive baresque Chicken shop in Harcourt, 1 coffee shop and a park too! cute local outdoor swimming pool is great also.

Thanks for having us! We had such a wonderful time! The place is well-furnished, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. Our toddler had an amazing time exploring the farm, interacting with the animals, picking fresh strawberries and veg, and enjoying fresh eggs for breakfast. It was such a lovely getaway and farm experience for our family including our dog. :) We would highly recommend!

Great stay!

Lovely cabin with lots of animals and land to explore! Definitely suited for animal lovers! Place was comfy, the only downside was that our Netflix and wifi didn’t work at all. But that was fine considering we only stayed one night!

This place was perfect, we were considering glamping, but for a little extra, this place offered that outdoor feeling with its views and wood fire bath tub, combined with the convenience of being at a winery with a great restaurant. We’d love to come back and visit again.

Samantha was an amazing and flexible host. She communicated with us very quickly and even drove us to the wedding we were attending when our taxi didn’t arrive! The cottage was beautiful and very clean. We loved it. Thank you Samantha and Geoff :)

Could not rave more about this farm stay - gorgeous house and even better surrounds! We had delicious pizza and wine from their farm that evening. Our babies loved seeing the goats and sheep and bathing in the outdoor bath. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thanks for being unbelievable hosts!

This charming and quaint little cottage is set in amongst the heart of Tanunda. Picturesque landscapes with abundance of local restaurants, wine cellars and cafes only a stones throw away. The beautiful cottage has maintained its historical charm, decked out with classique antique furnishings keeping to its 18th century theme. When you step outside into the peaceful garden whilst enjoying your morning cuppa or afternoon glass of vino you are greeted by the properties friendly alpacas and sheep at the properties back fence. The owners are full of local knowledge and helpful advice which makes navigating the Barossa Valley a lot easier when it’s your first time visiting. Highly recommend this accommodation and location especially for those are wine enthusiasts and appreciate a little bit of early settler history.

Had the best time staying at Yarramunda! The hosts were so easy to communicate with and gave heaps of great recommendations. Will definitely be back :)

We stayed at the barn after our wedding and it was the perfect place to unwind! I took some beautiful photos of my wife’s wedding dress (after it was trashed from dancing) in the space and it looked beautiful. Such a wonderful space and we regret not booking it for our pre-wedding. It would’ve been a perfect place to take photos while getting ready. Beautiful property and their dog Ollie gave us such a wonderful welcome the next morning.

We had a great getaway here. Our second time staying and it was even more enjoyable than our last stay. As a host myself I was impressed by the linens and kitchen amenities mostly. Clean and tidy property and very private stay despite the breezeway between the lodge and main house. We will be back again and the Redesdale pub down the road was delicious. Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful weekend at Jans gorgeous home. We absolutely loved our stay and everything was perfect!! Jans home is so cozy and breathtaking! Not to mention the beautiful scenery we enjoyed waking up to!!! She went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. We look forward to the opportunity to visit again in the future.

it was a lovely property, just a short distance from all the lovely wineries and the town, a lovely peaceful quiet place surrounded by vines & a lovely garden and the house was comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped & thoughtfully planned out & the outside laundry/second toilet was perfect for us as friends who didn't mind sharing our space but were grateful we didn't have to stand in line to use one bathroom. (its a small thing but adds ***** for personal comfort & privacy) The ONLY thing that could be improved is the size of the TV. Jenny was very responsive, it was easy to find & we enjoyed it immensely. :)
