Vacation rentals in Mount Shirouma

Alex & Meg were responsive with the checkin/check out instructions. Pre-arrival, they advised us on how to get our ski gear there, where to rent our car and ensured that everything necessary for our toddler was setup at the chalet upon our arrival (baby-cot, baby utensils, baby chair) They were also very helpful with local food & drink recommendations and provided their insights of Hakuba. Whether we had questions relating to the ski slopes for toddlers or the closest supermarket or hardware store, they were always quick to reply and gave us sound advice/recommendations. When there was an issue with the hot water system, they responded promptly and did their best to rectify the issue. When the issue was not solved, they arranged for us to be moved to another chalet down the road which was larger and more comfortable. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, we will definitely book with Hakuba White Fox again and perhaps stay at the same chalet.

Close proximity to the ski slopes, the host did his best to tell us what to pay attention to with the room, and also when we couldn't find the place, responded quickly to us to help us find a place, 10 points good 10 recommend, and also see local snow monkeys nearby, be careful they will be in the center again when driving.

We loved our stay at Cortina Apartments. From the moment I made an initial enquiry, right through to the time of checkout, Jason was helpful, proactive, responsive and easy to communicate with. The apartment is tastefully decorated and is literally right on the snow with the most beautiful views across the Cortina ski fields. The apartment is comfortable with lovely beds and great hot showers with good water pressure. If you are a reasonable skier, it is easy to ski down to the chair lift. We were all beginners and started at the neighbouring ski field Norikura which was only a few minutes away by car, and offered better beginner slopes. The apartment comes with a 7 seater car which made it easy to get supplies and access other ski areas. There are a couple of lovely cafes (Konisu) at the base of the slope for good coffee & pastries and there is an excellent restaurant called Canopy which is just a short walk away for dinner. Highly recommend Jason’s apartment for your next ski break.

Angel was an amazing host. He was an excellent communicator helping me think through lots of different considerations (travel, skiing, restaurants) before arrival and answering every question comprehensively. We booked a side country tour with him and he was super patient with our average skiing ability. My 12yr old nephew booked a snow boarding lesson with Angel and really connected with him and learned so much. I highly recommend Angel as a considerate and kind host.

Chris was a great host, he was very friendly and helpful! He also gave good advices on where is good to ski/snowboard with different weather situations. Location of the house is literally 3min away from Hakuba47 ski resort. We enjoyed the stay a lot, thank you

Our stay at Ember View was an incredible experience. It’s located in a small peaceful neighborhood that’s surrounded by mountains. It took us about 30 to 40 minutes to get up to Hakuba Ski Resort, which is adorable if you’re planning to go. It was about an hour drive away from Nagano City and 2 hour drive to the Snow Monkey park. These sounds far but the drive is gorgeous and worth the effort. The Airbnb was super cozy with a kitchen with all the utensils and cookware needed to make your own meals. The bath gets and stays suuuuper hot. The loft’s futons were very comfy. If you want to stay nearby the house in Omachi, Mike provides a nice list of things to do. He was also very responsive and patient with any questions we had. Definitely recommend and would stay here with family or friends any time! If you are staying in the winter (later December~) you will need snow tires!

Mark is an excellent host! He was very friendly, helpful, easy going and understanding right from the point of contact and throughout our stay. Mark provided contacts for our ski gear rental, ski lessons and also good advice on booking/fitting schedules. Pick up from the station was also punctual. The Tallhouse is right next to Norikura ski slopes and is definitely ski in/out. Provision of discounted ski passes was a pleasant surprise. Access to the free car which comes with the house, is a definite plus. All in all, we had a great ski experience and we will definitely return when we next visit Otari!

Thank you so much Greg, for making our stay at the Powder Peak Pad in Hakuba so memorable! Hakuba has been the highlight of our trip to Japan. The cabin was perfectly located away from the busy streets and we enjoyed the peace and privacy of the forest location. Greg and Kiyomi were incredibly helpful and considerate hosts who went out of their way to ensure that all our needs and requirements were met. It was amazing to wake up each morning to a winter wonderland right at the doorstep of the cabin. Being away from the crowded areas makes it all the more special! All amenities were provided in the cabin and with the loan car at hand, everything is easily accessible. We drove to various ski slopes, onsens, supermarkets, and restaurants. Super easy and felt just like home getting around town. Hope to visit Hakuba again soon and will look you up again. Cheers mate!

Grant’s accomodation was beautiful, and was located right in the heart of Echoland. There was lots to do, and it was within a walkable distance or short drive to most locations. Grant was very responsive and accomodating. Would definitely recommend this accommodation for anyone looking to stay in Hakuba

I stayed with a workcation this time, so I was very satisfied with the spacious space, wifi, and a clean and comfortable space.I'd like to come back and relax next time.
