This place is more beautiful than the photos show. It is private and the view is expansive and majestic. you can sit is the living area for hours and watch the daylight and weather change. The room is very comfortable, and the hosts have provided numerous amenities. Overall, I cannot think of anything they could do better. They treated us like family friends. Because we are on a walking tour and did not have a car, they offered to drive us into Cromwell for groceries, then drove us through town for photos and sightseeing. They have piles of information about the area available, and old photos on the wall of the area as it has changed over time.

A wonderful stay in an absolutely stunning location. Spotless and clean space with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Only an easy 20min drive to Wanaka or 10min drive to local shops. Emilie was very friendly and helpful in addressing any needs we had. Excellent shower with great pressure and the outdoor bath looked amazing. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Beautiful house with fabulous lakeside view. Landlady also gave pretty gift. Bedding is comfortable! All house is clean!

Lovely cosy house with plenty of space for a family of 4. Very clean & kitchen well equipped. Lounge & bedrooms very comfortable. Easy to find & convenient 4 square down the road.

Enjoyed our visit to Wānaka and staying at Rach and Ed’s chalet. Spectacular views, close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like you were by yourself on the mountainside.

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

The Rock Peak Chalet is an amazing place to stay when visiting Wanaka. Very private setting that overlooks the lake and surrounding mountains. The views are stunning especially later in the day into the evening. Mattress was comfortable and everything was clean when we arrived. The outdoor tub and sky gazing was also great. We would definitely stay here again!

Had a great three nights in Mount Pisa! Felt right at home, and exactly what we needed. Loved having access to the BBQ, and was a welcoming/quiet place to stay. The paths nearby were peaceful and stunning! It was conveniently located close to Wanaka but not in the middle of all the crowds and busyness. Super friendly hosts (and dogs!) is always a bonus :)

Lisa’s home was absolutely beautiful! The view of the lake from the living room/kitchen/patio is breathtaking. Our two families felt right at home in this lovely house. The kids loved the bunk bed set up and ping pong table downstairs. The huge kitchen had everything you could possibly need! The decor was peaceful yet artistic. So many thoughtful details to accommodate guests. Wanaka is a lovely community with delightful restaurants and shops. Don’t forget to check out Cinema Paradiso and catch a movie on a sofa with homemade cookies at intermission! Shop for sheepskins at Wilson & Dorset! I hope one day we can return to this incredible corner of the world.
