We had an amazing weekend here. The place is really clean and with lots of things to do like the pool table or hot tub. Bill was very helpful with everything from checking times to fixing problems. We would definitely come again.

Lovely stay with a few friends, Karen is a fantastic host, super responsive and friendly, suggesting activities and restaurants for us and replying super quick during our stay. We loved the lodge, beds are super comfy and was spotlessly clean!

Fabulous host, great little spot right on Hadrian's wall. Very easy to find and access. Really comfy beds!

Great location: in the quieter residential part of Amble, but only a few minutes walk to pubs, shops and places to eat. The house had everything we needed and the hosts have done a great job of creating a home-from-home vibe. Plenty of space and the hot tub was ideal after long days of walking and exploring the area. And the welcome items from Chris and Georgie were very welcome!

Lovely cabin, lovely setting within a beautiful park, lovely little walk aroun the lake. Very dog friendly park which was lovey. Very nice hottub. Had everything you might need! Lots of things to do nearby if you have a car, and right next to the zoo.

We had the most amazing stay at the hide, everything was thought about even to the last details. Hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal! Our favourite thing to do was to sit and relax in front of the beautiful scenery whilst our pooch explored the surroundings with a cup of tea in hand! Plenty to do not only within the surrounding areas but at the hide itself leaving you occupied at all times! We cannot wait to return next year and thank you again!

Hexham is a beautiful town in the North East and Ian's place is superbly situated just a short stroll down the road and you're at the Abbey and the centre of town opens up with the Theatre, Cinema, shops and eateries in abundance. Short drives away are Beamish, Alan Banks, Hadrian's Wall, Blanchland and the stunning drive from Blanchland to Stanhope, Corbridge and much more. After a day out it's an absolute joy to return to the apartment which was always warm and welcoming. The apartment was well laid out had everything you could need for any length of stay, we were there for 2 weeks, and I do mean everything. Ian was a very responsive owner and very friendly coming out of his way to say "hello" and see if we were ok. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained and the lounge was large and well laid out with excellent decor, it felt like home. One added advantage was a parking permit for the street. Overall, I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

Small but perfectly formed. A lovely place to stay. Tasteful decoration, very comfortable bed. Additional touches like toothpaste/toothbrush and sanitary products in bathroom, the kind of things which can be forgotten. Lovely hand thrown pottery mugs, good coffee machine. Milk in fridge, red wine and mince pies. Separate entrance a real plus, especially with a small dog to walk, and adds to the feeling of privacy and independence. Joanne very relaxed and welcoming even though I was much later arriving than expected. Would recommend and stay again.

The cottage is just beautiful, everything had been well thought through with style and good taste. The kitchen was excellent with everything we could possibly need, the house was warm and cosy and the bed super comfy. Overall the location was an absolute dream - would recommend the Allenheads Inn if you’re walking that way. Normally we use airbnbs as a base to be out every day but with this cottage, we ended up wanting to spend time in, just enjoying the cottage. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently stayed at the Old School House and had a wonderful experience. The building’s rich history and unique character made it a truly memorable stay. The peaceful, rural setting allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. It was the perfect spot for a restful break, with plenty of charm and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely recommend the Old School House for anyone looking to escape and unwind in a tranquil, beautiful setting.

Lyn’s cottage is so incredibly cozy, warm, and the most private little oasis you can ask for. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, the rooms were comfortable, the little courtyard was lovely, and Lyn was so welcoming and easy to chat to. This location was perfect for visiting Durham and Newcastle and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I recently moved back to South Shields and stayed here whilst searching for a permanent rental and would highly recommend! The apartment looked exactly like the pictures, was spotless throughout and had all amenities you could need. The location was ideal; walking distance to the centre of South Shields as well as the beach with shops and restaurants on the doorstep, yet extremely peaceful inside. The bed was extremely comfortable. Colin made my stay great, he responded quickly throughout and even had the heating on before I arrived so the apartment was cosy when I got there. I ended up extending my stay privately with him. Couldn’t recommend more!

Fantastic place and host! Mark was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Wylam was a lovely cozy town and only 20 minutes from Newcastle. Highly recommend staying here!

This property is a little gem. It is finished to a high standard in a gated secure property. The host was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Excellent place, photos don’t do it justice. One of the best equipped cottages we’ve stayed in, right in the centre of Alnwick so we didn’t use the car, everything on the doorstep. Would recommend.

The house is really big, the rooms very nice and spottlessly clean. The kitchen is very well stocked. I stayed 5.5 weeks and was working on weekdays. The WiFi was amazing. The big bedroom is a dream, it's very big. The only downside for me was that the boiler is in one of its cupboards. The pictures on Airbnb are 100% accurate. I really enjoyed Amble, especially the harbour area. The house is conveniently located, everything in Amble is walkable and it is a great base to explore Northumberland.

Our second time staying here and as great as last time. Comfortable flat, walkable into central Newcastle, with some lovely little touches such as a welcome hamper & gorgeous toiletries. Carla has great recommendations for the area & a wonderful base to explore the north east with easy access to the A1. Definitely would book again next time we're visiting Newcastle

Lovely stay at West Fell cottage. Quiet location yet only 30min walk into Corbridge. Well equipped cottage with thoughtful home comforts. Lovely to have a ready supply of wood for the fire. Appear to be plenty of walks to do from the doorstep, though only had time to try one. Easy access by train to Newcastle with great museums, shopping and eating opportunities. Corbridge is a special place with plenty of individual shops to browse. And do be sure to try a treat from Grant's - the cakes are amazing in looks and taste! A very comfortable few days break, thank you!
