Monthly Rentals in Montezuma Beach, Santa Fe

We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of March.  The house is amazing! It was not unlike being in a really big treehouse, with windows on all sides.   We instantly fell in love with the huge open air shower!  It was like standing under a little waterfall in the jungle.  We were there in the hot season, and it definitely was hot and humid.  The house only has air-conditioning in the downstairs bedroom, so it was a bit of a hot stay. The internet was sufficient for basic surfing, but the upload speed was poor and not strong enough to support large data uploads. And it is a bit intermittent, which caused a few problems during our workday. The walk into town is about 1 mile, down a rather steep and winding road. And that climb back up is intense. There are a few taxis in town, but they are not usually around after dinner time. There is no cajeros automaticos in town. Bring cash for taxis. 100% would stay here again!

Dagmar & Daniel’s Tree Loft is safe but secluded - very peaceful. You will need to rent an ATV/car or have reliable available taxi contact to get around. (Otherwise it’s a ~40 min walk in hilly/curving roads.) There are a couple of restaurants within 1km of the loft, otherwise Cobano and Montezuma are each 3-5km away for restaurants or grocery shopping. Beautiful views of the greenery and sunrise from the loft. I met both Dagmar and Daniel briefly and both are very kind and helpful.

The surroundings are breathtaking and perfect for anyone looking to connect with nature consciously. It's a place where relaxation and the serenity that nature has to offer can be fully embraced.
