San Bernado's "barn" is a fabulous property among the olive groves and exceeded all of our expectations. Well equipped, spacious but warm and cosy, authentic but totally modern, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. I would totally recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing stay in Tuscany, about a 45 minute bus ride from the centre of Firenze and easy access to all of Toscana. A car is not essential as it is only a 10 minute walk to the #32 bus into Firenze but by car the A1 and the rest of Chianti is only minutes away. Spectacular views and setting. An amazing spot in Tuscany. In the country but close to shopping and restaurants

Alessandro and his extended family live a good and happy life on their little farm in the midst of beautiful Tuscan landscape. They warmly welcomed me into it, brought me cake on a cold and rainy day, and I even got to harvest grapes and participate in a party afterwards! The commute to the town was sometimes a bit of a hassle, but when coming back to 'home', the peaceful surroundings, the birds singing, and the surrounding rolling hills and the olive tree orchards would make it worth it. I very much felt like home here.
