Lake houses in Monroe Lake

We’d had a last-minute cancellation at another Airbnb in Kentucky due to flooding in that area. We immediately looked for a new place that we could escape to for some nature & unplugged time, and stumbled upon Garrett & Ewan’s listing—luckily a short drive for us. It is a gem of a find! Cozy home in a private setting with trails and on the water—hot tub was a bonus! We loved sitting around the fire pit, too. The loft was perfect for our teenagers. The rockers on the porch were our go-to in the morning for coffee. We commented several times on how it would be even better to stay in the summer—lots to do outdoors for all. The beds were a bit firm but that is just a personal preference. The house was clean & comfortable—definitely made for a great escape from the busyness of life. Garrett & Ewa were incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. We were grateful they accepted a last minute booking! It was just the type of R&R our family needed.☺️

The cabin made for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. The deck has beautiful views of sunrises over the lake. The home is updated nicely and very comfortable while still being very immersed in nature. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Very beautiful home! One of the most beautiful we ever stayed in Indiana. Interior and exterior of house were perfect. We travel a lot, almost every month and got spoiled with beautiful locations/houses/details. And this house deserved to be one of the best. We love the comfortable furniture, beds and even bed sheets. It was nice to see Christmas tree already set up during thanksgiving week! Kids and us loved it Thank you very much!

We just returned from wonderful stay at Cameron's Lake Monroe condo. It was a beautiful, golf course location. A family of very tame deer visited us twice a day most days. Cameron's instructions and suggestions were perfect. He checked with us frequently to see if we needed anything. The condo was beautiful and was well-stocked with everything we needed, complete with a delicious "welcome" bottle of Oliver Winery wine. We loved taking long walks around the Eagle Pointe community, eating at fabulous restaurants and enjoying all Bloomington and IU have to offer. Thank you for hosting us, Cameron. We had a great time. This is a very beautiful place with plenty of privacy and beautiful surroundings. The host "Apolonia" is a very kind, responsive, and understanding host. Unfortunately there was some storm damage from the storms that came through in the days prior to our stay that the host was unaware of. However, when I contacted Apilonia in regards to these issues she was extremely responsive and apologetic. She was very understanding when I vacated my reservation early due to said storm damage and very helpful when it came to me getting a refund for the days I was unable to stay. I hope someday to revisit and get the full enjoyment this place has to offer. This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone wanting a getaway from the everyday life. It offers beautiful scenery, the cabin itself is absolutely gorgeous and the host is exceptional.

Cheryl’s Lake Lemon Cottage was a great get-a-way. The cottage was beautiful with plenty of lounging areas and it was decorated so nice. The fresh flowers and rosemary were a sweet touch! There is also a nice view of the lake from the cottage. We had a boat so the dock was very accommodating and Cheryl was very helpful in making sure our trailer was parked safely. The fishing wasn’t good because of murky water and high winds but it was still nice to get out and enjoy the lake on the boat… the beautiful cottage more than made up for the lack of fish :) Thank you! We traveled here with a young family and couldn’t be more pleased. Close enough to Nashville to venture to cute shops and restaurants and easy to spend the day at Brown County State Park. We had a rainy day and everyone was perfectly content just playing games at the cabin. Very spacious and comfortable. Just what we were looking for!

Wonderful out-of-the-way country location. Beautiful, scenic property with well equipped accommodations in aged farmhouse. The house had plenty of space for 11 of us to spread out yet also be together in common areas. There is some minor maintenance to be done in the house, but nothing that hampers enjoyment of the overall property and lodging experience. We hope to plan another stay with Tonya during warmer seasons to experience this fun farm in all its splendor. Thanks, Tonya!

This small cabin on a private lake was a perfect last minute booking for me and my friends. The host was super quick to respond because we booked super last minute after the hurricane rains rained out our camping trip! The place was super clean when we arrived and we had a blast taking the small boat out and even went to the Salt Creek winery right down the road, literally 3 minutes away. I think the cleaning fee was a lot for the space that was provided, but it was still a great time and the perfect get-away! Thank you for having us!

Fantastic private home with an amazing view.

Had a fun weekend here with friends. The location is close enough to gas stations and other places to quickly grab whatever you might need, but still feels remote. Lots of space on the property but unfortunately due to heavy rain we couldn't use it to its full potential. Would recommend if you're looking to enjoy nature while still being close to Bloomington (about 15 minutes from campus.)

Second stay at Jetaway was even better than the first two years ago, despite 10+" of snow. The long driveway was cleared and salted, presenting no issues at all. We received an additional 4" of snow on day 3 of our stay, and it was also cleared in short order. Fast/friendly communication, and a gorgeous/quiet setting. We will be back!

This is not our first time staying at one of Lindsey's cabins, and we always have such a great experience! The place is spotlessly clean and so thoughtfully appointed with everything you need. Absolutely love the hot tub under the string lights! She's a super thoughtful host as well - she even sent us helpful information when inclement weather affected the area to make sure we knew which roads to take.

I was in town with my daughter and best friend for the eras tour. We wanted to book outside of the city so we could come back to quiet and have a relaxing place to just enjoy our weekend getaway. Curt’s place was the perfect spot for this.

This home is absolutely wonderful and has everything you could need and imagine for a large group. The home is just like the picture plus more. The rooms and the closets are huge. The kitchen is very well stocked for large groups. If you have kids, the home will be a pure delight. There is a wonderful kids room upstairs, games galore in the basement, and a fabulous movie room set up with a popcorn machine. There is a lot of space to relax and play outside. The beds are all very comfortable. The hot tub is a very nice one and was very clean and easy to use. John is a highly responsive host and always answered any questions we had within 30 minutes or less. I cannot say enough good things about this home. It was perfect for our ladies weekend retreat with a group of 10. An added bonus was that we were able to park in the garage. I highly recommend this home. I have stayed in places all over the world and this is one of the best.

I am a solo full-time wheelchair user traveling with a Great Dane. It's hard to find a place that is accessible and pet-friendly. I was there for over a month during some winter weather. The host was concerned about my safety and accessibility by making sure snow and ice was clear. The place itself was clean, recently updated, and comfortable. Two nice large TVs were provided and I used the Wifi and it worked well. It is on a large grassy lot set back from the road. There was a lot of room for my dog to sniff around and get some exercise. Guests should be aware that there is a small refrigerator. I had no problem with it, but if you have a need for a large refrigerator or freezer be aware that this might be a problem for you. There is a nice big microwave and toaster, but no traditional cooktop or oven. I felt very safe here. It's pretty close to campus and there is a large parking area that is well off street. Host was great at communication and answered questions quickly.
