This is a private rental inn in a 130-year-old house that the host renovated himself. In the house, there are thick beams that give a sense of history, a view that seems to go on forever, a traditional Japanese sunken hearth that feels nostalgic, a warm wood stove, and a Goemon bath outside. We hope you can feel the essence of living in the countryside while experiencing the slow flow of time in the countryside. For meals, you can bring in ingredients and cook them in the kitchen, which has an IH heater, fridge, microwave, and toaster, or you can grill the ingredients on the lava plate or in the Irori pot on the Irori fireplace. There is also a field behind the house, and depending on the season, you can harvest fresh vegetables and eat them as they are. There are two types of baths, an indoor unit bath and an outdoor Goemon bath where guests can light the fire themselves. The bedroom is tatami mats and futons. The bedroom has air conditioning for a comfortable night's sleep. Reclining chairs are available on the wooden deck, so please enjoy the view of the countryside.

We have renovated it to be able to accommodate guests, while keeping the rural Kabuki stage as intact as possible. It is a 10-minute drive to the Komagatake Ropeway bus stop, making it the perfect location for mountain climbing, skiing, and learning about Japanese rural life. Sake and miso factories are also close by. The altitude is about 700 m and the stars are beautiful at night if the weather is clear. We also offer free bicycle rentals (2 bikes) for those who wish. Good access to Shimosuwa Station! We renovated an 80-year-old Japanese house into a traditional and clean space. (New open in 2023!) You can spend a comfortable time by renting the entire building. Recommended for families, couples and small groups. This area is rich in history and nature. Suwa Taisha Shrine, hot springs, Nakasendo. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.
