Definitely the best hosts we have ever had and the most amazing place to stay in when you're in Kefalonia. For everyone who is considering Il Giardino, don't think, book! You won't regret a minute! The garden and view on the ocean is amazing! The place is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need and if not Sissy is there to provide it. You don't have any importunity from the airport. The drive to Argostoli is about 10minutes. You do definitely need a rental car if you want to explore Kefalonia and feel free.

We had the most lovely stay at George’s place. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Ms. Eleni who made us feel right at home. The kitchen was gorgeous and well equipped with new appliances and the bathroom was also very spacious. All of the decor was pristine, light and airy and just very calming. The terrace was also gorgeous and we spent our evenings watching the sunset with the company of a very friendly cat the visited us during our stay. George was extremely flexible and responsive and made our stay entirely stress-free!

What a wonderful week! George and Sofia were extremely kind and attentive hosts, giving us all the help and information we needed. As we arrived late, Sofia offered us some delicious stuffed peppers and had left us a bottle of wine plus stuff for our first breakfast, which we really appreciated. It’s in a great location with lovely views from the private terrace across the garden and olive groves to the sea. Although less than a mile to the airport, it was very quiet (only a handful of flights a day). There’s a small mini market up the road, and LIDL and Kritikos supermarkets are about 10 minutes’ drive away. Just 10-15 minutes’ drive to the capital Argostoli, it’s a great base to explore the island by car. There was tea, coffee and essentials like olive oil, salt and pepper and all the appliances you need to cook – we loved breakfasts on the balcony and dinner on the terrace as the sun set.
