Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Millom

Great spot for our family’s two week winter stay in Ulverston. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants, off street parking, warm, and felt at home. Highly recommend for a short or long stay. Friendly and responsive hosts. Thanks John.

A beautiful house in a stunning location, could not think of anywhere better to spend New Year. The location was amazing, next door is currently being refurbished but this wasn’t a problem as it was the holidays, there were no workers on site. I can only imagine once this work is completed the property will be even more amazing than it is already. The gardens are magical, but the advice to be careful and watch small children is useful as it is steep and not suitable for everyone. It rained none stop while we were there (can’t help the weather) so the large hallway was great for drying the dogs snd leaving our mountain of coats, hats and boots. There was a small issue with the hot water but Kate responded immediately and sorted it out straight away. To top it off there were four separate firework displays in Grasmere which we could see from the front window, lighting up the lake. A brilliant New Year. We have already checked if it’s available for next year but someone beat us to it!

The place was beautiful and very welcoming . It felt like home almost immediately. It's located in a very private setting and we loved the river at the back of the property. We had a few teething issues to begin with as we had a wasps nest outside and the occasional power outage when the switch tripped on the fuse box but the host, Cheryl, was very quick to respond and helped resolve things straight away. She even offered to give us an extra day for free but because we had work the next day the option of a late checkout instead was very welcome. I would highly recommend this place and Cheryl was absolutely fantastic! Thank you Cheryl!

My wife & I have just had 3 night stay at Bens place.We found the house easily & there was on street parking.We felt very at home with all the facilities we needed.We enjoyed the log burner which made the place feel very cozy.Ideally positioned for Ulverston & surrounding areas.We would stay there again & would recommend to anyone.Thanks again.

Stayed here for a few days in the winter and it was lovely. So cosy and has everything you need, with brilliant walks and pubs close by. Nancy was an amazing host, communicated to us throughout the trip offering us recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed and was just a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

This was the second time I have stayed at White Craggs. It is in a great location close to restaurants and shops as well as being extremely convenient for exploring The South Lakes and beyond. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Highly recommended and we hope to visit again.

Fantastic place for a large group but still good value for just for two of us breaking up a long drive from Scotland as only 15min away from M6 Warm when we arrived. Able to chat to Marie about check in. Area is a bit run down but quiet and able to park outside house. Dog friendly, small concrete yard but grass areas are minutes walk away as is a delightful walk on the prom and a great fish n chip shop/ restaurant Fantastic Morcambe sunset and wonderful view of snow topped southern Lake District mountains

I had the most wonderful stay at Jeanette’s apartment. It is cosy, beautifully decorated and the views from every room are to die for. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathrooms are spotless and the bed was so comfortable. I loved the log burner - nothing like a real fire to give those cosy vibes. Jeanette was kind enough to leave milk in the fridge for me and was right on hand when I made a bit of a pigs ear of a reverse park attempt, she was lovely and friendly and clearly had put a lot of love into decorating her home. I honestly didn’t want to leave! Troutbeck is a perfect location. It’s an easy hike into Ambleside, a few minutes drive from Booths (the best supermarket ever), and you can hike right from the doorstep with many routes to choose from. The Mortal Man pub just down the road has great local beers and the staff there were lovely, friendly and welcoming too. I had lunch at the village cafe, another lovely experience, even the local robins stopped to say hello!

Robin was a wonderful host and his place was perfect for our stay. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Robin recommended several excellent hikes for us and it was fun to discuss our adventures with him at the end of each day. His place is rustic but very comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace and the kitchen is modern. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great visit Robin!

Really lovely place to stay in between bowness and Windermere, easy to get everywhere, really handy having a proper parking space, well equipped kitchen, would definitely visit again!

This apartment was the perfect location for a weekend getaway. The town as well as available walks was exactly as we had hoped. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back soon!

A perfect spot for a rare child free night. We felt well looked after and the apartment spoiled us. Stunning interiors, great location and just what we needed. Carolyn and Chris were fantastic hosts who were quick to respond. The stay exceeded our expectations. Will visit again.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is just on the edge of Ambleside town centre and is spacious, clean, private and well equipped. We enjoyed being able leave the car in the car park and just walk out straight from the apartment, there are so many walks… The outdoor area is small, but we didn’t use it as it was winter. In summer it would be nice to have some more outdoor space.

This is the second time I have stayed at the studio. It is a lovely little place, compact but with everything you need in a very beautiful and convenient spot. Carol and Margaret are very helpful and friendly it is always a pleasure to stay in their beautiful flat. Thank you for being so welcoming and accomodating.

Wonderful place to stay near Wastwater. Beautiful flat, nicely decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. On the first floor with outdoor steps. Easy short walk down to the lake to swim or launch paddlboards. Can walk fells from the flat, perfect location. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at far Nook, ten minute walk to centre of Ambleside. Lovely accommodation, clean and spacious. Good quality, high standards. Upstairs double bed in front of house a bit too hard otherwise rest of beds comfortable. Good showers and bathrooms. Kitchen great social area, kitchen equipment good. Lovely garden area, although we didn’t use it because we explored the fells everyday. My parents loved sitting in the sun room at the front of the house while we were out walking. Great bedroom for them downstairs. My husband used the office space to work in a lot, which was great for him as this isn’t often found in accommodation. Wi-Fi good Really nice lounge area comfortable sofas and chairs and wood burner. Very homely. (Not over keen on furniture in TV room to big, uncomfortable and dowdy, didn’t use this room.) I’d certainly recommend this house. We had a wonderful holiday here and we would love to return and stay at Far Nook again. Thank you!

A true gem. From the games room to the hot-tub, the villa had everything we needed and more for a chilled getaway as a group. We are looking are looking forward to coming back again during spring/summer to make the most of the wonderful gardens and outdoor activities!

We had a wonderful stay with our family. The hot tub was a great success. The house is large, warm and very comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone. Well equipped kitchen, great bathrooms, plenty of storage. Easy access to shops and pubs. Well located in the lakes with everywhere no more than 30mins away so you can visit all areas easily. Lots of parking at house. Private and quiet. We would stay again. Hosts were very helpful and would throughly recommend .

Jerry was so nice and helpful host. The place was amazing and ideal location for our daughter’s 30th Birthday. The place was spotless and everything about the stay was perfect. We would highly recommend using Jerry, I know we will.
