A beautiful shepherds hut in a private little garden. Very friendly welcome on arrival. Warm, cosy and just what we needed. Will be back again.

Absolutely loved staying at the shepherds hut. All the amenities you need. Great space for us for our weekend. Close to Chedder gorge and great walks. Lovely little village close by and plenty of space for parking. Loved our welcome pack. Dorothy popped by to say hello, she was very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.

Peaceful get away for a change of scenery. I was really impressed with how well stocked the hut was, far better than many other larger places I’ve stayed. Very welcoming touches including some dog treats :) Very warm not at all cold!! No need to worry about that. It was great I would come again !!

We had such a lovely stay in the Shepherd's hut! so peaceful! The outside bath was a real treat as well as the yummy fruitcake waiting for us when we arrived. Bed was super comfy. We were sad to leave. Thank you Be and Richard.

Libby was really lovely, offered to bring towels as we didn’t realise the property wasn’t listed with them and replied very quickly whenever we messaged her - would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay, was relaxing and a great location for walks, sightseeing etc. Mandy and Andy both very friendly and helpful. Would recommend booking ahead for any local pubs/restaurants as they are few and far between within a 10-20 min drive and busy at weekends/peak times, also bring a 12v charger for charging within the hut otherwise there are 3 point plugs 100m across the yard which can be used.

Had an absolutely amazing weekend at this place. Was a last minute getaway to treat my fiance to a well earned rest. The accommodation was second to none. The hot tub was a hit with us. Our dog loved her little walks around the field. Will definitely be back. Thank you Gill and Will. X

I had a truly wonderful stay at the Astronomer’s Hut! The highlight was stargazing on the first night and witnessing an unforgettable sunrise. It was the perfect way to celebrate my partners birthday, and I would love to return. While getting around without a car was a bit tricky due to limited taxis and no buses, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The stay was incredibly relaxing and peaceful—highly recommended!

This stunning Shepards Hut couldn’t have been any better. Was very accommodating and had everything we needed. Clive provided us with lots of information including recommendations of walks and near by pubs. We enjoyed the hot tub and were able to cosy up around a fire and were accompanied by the ducks and the cat Norman. Was very peaceful and just what was needed for a couples get away. Thank you to Clive and Niki for providing us with such a beautiful place.

We had a fantastic time at Tracie's. The hut was cosy and comfortable, and had everything that we needed. We loved the goats and the hottub was amazing. The location was ideal for Lyme regis, Charmouth and Bridport. Also so much in the area to explore.Tracie made us feel so welcome and also gave us our privacy. Altogether would highlly recommend.

Amazing stay, am sorry it’s over! Chloe’s place is the perfect, peaceful retreat, and Chloe a wonderful host - the pre-heated hot tub and little extras were hugely appreciated. The weather not being particularly on our side meant two nights spent in front of the cosy wood-burner, and we look forward to returning in the summer to make the most of the beautiful outside space and meet the Shetland ponies! Would 100% recommend!

A fantastic stay! This Shepherd hut was spotless! The area is so quiet and friendly. Plenty of walks on the doorstep. The location is fantastic, especially when travelling to Dartmouth. Two pubs serving food within a few minutes walk was an added bonus. Excellent WIFI. Thanks Nina for having us.

Wow what an amazing birthday weekend away in this beautiful Shepherds hut. I have stayed in many shepherds hut and by far this one has to be the best. It’s beautifully decorated, so much attention to detail. Thanks for the wine, milk, eggs, tea, coffee etc. great touch x The hot tub was lovely too Everything was 💯

Claire's stay was exactly as described and the perfect countryside retreat. Claire was super helpful and friendly, lighting the hot tub in advance so it was ready to jump in when we got there! The hut and the snug were both beautifully decorated, with so many lovely festive touches. Could not recommend enough!

I spend a lot of time travelling around the country spending a lot of time in hotels my wife suggested that we would spend a weekend here. I wasn’t too sure to start with but absolutely loved it and I will definitely be staying in a Shepherd hut again beautiful place, lovely hot tub we were made to feel quite at home. The shepherds hut was completely loaded with everything we would need even supplied some eggs, sourdough bread, jam, even some home-made cake, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk don’t get this in a hotel. if you’re looking for a quiet beautiful location, definitely worth a visit and the hosts are marvellous and always responsive.

A very simple and very cosy shepherd's hut with a splendid wood burning stove. The bathroom was excellent. Chris was a very welcoming host. It is worth mentioning that the shepherds hut is a few minutes walk from the town, it also has some amazing views..

Woody Cabin was beautiful to stay in, had everything you needed for a night away. Would highly recommend, beautiful views and the sheep were great. Lovely hosts :)

We loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut, the surroundings were so peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. Feeding the fish was so fun! Highly recommend for a getaway.

My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time. The location was fantastic and we felt we had our own private space despite the other two Shepard huts on site. The hot tub was a great addition and the fire pit would’ve been great, but both my partner and I were too incompetent to get it started. I recommend you bring your own fire lighter as the straw provided unfortunately didn’t work for us. The bed was extremely comfy and the tv in-front means this is the perfect retreat for couples who want to just stay cozy and watch endless films together . The farm animals were lovely and the host who we met briefly was very friendly. Overall a wonderful getaway, thank you!

Rosa and Mark are absolutely fantastic hosts! They really made us feel at home during our stay at their charming hut. Their dog, Daisy, is just the sweetest and so friendly! The hut itself is lovely, cozy, and spotless, with everything we could possibly need. The log-burning stove kept us warm and toasty, which was such a delightful treat! A huge thank you to Rosa and Mark for a wonderful experience!

We had a great stay, the place was lovely and very clean. Very spacious and cosy! Lots of firewood provided for the fire! Perfect garden for our dog as was private and secure. Very nice hosts. We would love to come back. Thank you!

We stayed at “The Croft” over the weekend for my partners birthday. Upon arrival Katie had put up balloons and a banner as a nice surprise. The accommodation was lovely, very peaceful & out the way. Loved the peace & remoteness. Struggled to get the hot tub going at first but once we had it going it was amazing. I’d recommend getting the breakfast hamper as that was also delicious. Katie was very helpful, responsive and willing to help whenever she could, all in all I would highly recommend staying here. Ticked all the boxes!
