House vacation rentals in Mevagissey

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used all the facilities apart from the outdoor pool. For two families of 4 we felt the accommodation was lovely, clean and homely with enough space to spend time together or separately. Great location for travelling out to other towns and activities and a handy tesco just up the road if you want to cook in the very well equipped kitchen. The owners were on-site, and very friendly. We would highly recommend this holiday home. Superb!

Matt and Chloe were great hosts, communicative and helpful. The house was lovely, modern, private and set amongst the trees. There was a great welcome basket waiting for us with visitor information, scones, jam and clotted cream, tea, milk in the fridge. The bathroom was great, with a good power shower. The beds were very comfortable with lovely bed linen. The weather was not so good but we did manage to use the pool, which was clean and a nice temperature. We visited: Port Isaac, Padstow, Rock, Bodmin jail. A great place to stay, we would not hesitate to book again in the future.

We have just arrived home after a fantastic stay. The lodge was beautiful with everything that we needed. There is lots to do locally as well as in the resort. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for another stay in Easter. Thank you once again.

The house was very homely and really big and there was plenty of space to accommodate our family and we all had our own space. The house was in a great location- close to lots of beaches and walking distance to the local pub. James was very responsive and super helpful. Very good place to stay with a family.

We had a fantastic stay. Elga was a super host, very friendly and great communication. The facilities/amenities exceeded expectation. The welcome pack, pint of milk and condiments etc were lovely added touches. Would definitely recommend.

We visited the place over New Year's period. It is very quite place. The house is amazing and very clean. In great location to go sightseeing. We managed to use the pool which very clean. Highly recommend the place.

A lovely clean, bright, modern property with all the essentials you need. All rooms were a reasonable size and the house was lovely and warm. There is room for two cars to park at this property. The hot tub is a lovely extra (although it is tucked round the side of the property) and we enjoyed using it along with the indoor pool. We also made use of the BBQ and outdoor seating with some late afternoon sun. The location is ideal for exploring the local amenities, towns, villages and beaches and having Talland Bay beach, cafe and the hotel (food is a bit pricey) near by was great.

Peaceful, cosy space and moments from everything. Porthleven is a dream for walkers and foodies. This is a gorgeous cottage to experience it all from.

A lovely cottage close to the coastal path. Many beautiful beaches and towns within easy reach; we could explore a lot in just a few days. It's the ideal place if you want to immerse yourself in nature, while being able to access nice pubs/restaurants. Highly recommended!

A lovely cosy home,it had everything we needed for our weeks stay, Bed was lovely & comfy,pillows good,everthing in the kitchen we needed,lovely sea view from windows, Very quiet at night time, Both local pubs were very good too with lovely food,, Brilliant location for some wonderfull coastal walks,would thoroughly recommend Polly & Hugh’s lovely home for a beautifull stay in a gorgeous location!!!

Lovely place, clean and comfortable, ideal for a couple but wouldn’t personally want to have 4 in there. Downstairs doesn’t have much natural light, though was cosy in the evenings with good lighting. But upstairs is lovely and bright, dual aspect with patio doors out onto a lovely sun trap patio with table and comfy chairs. The hot, sunny September weather we were fortunate enough to enjoy meant that we were frequently out there for tea, coffee or a chilled white! And the location was perfect, just a short walk down to the lovely beach, with cafe, shop, delicious fish and chips, ice cream etc. and good to be able to park so close to everything. Gorran Haven is a beautiful spot. 2 bathrooms was a bonus as I liked the walk in shower downstairs, and my husband the big bath upstairs.

We had a lovely stay in this clean self contained property. It’s private and well located for all amenities. The shower room is very nice with constant hot water. The lounge is comfortable and relaxing with a well supplied kitchen. The floors are cool so bring your slippers or something warm. Overall this is a great property, run by nice people and we’d definitely stay again.

Our third visit. Very comfortable with open-plan, sociable living/dining/cooking centre to the accommodation. Also, fantastic location from which to access the coastal path to get to Polzeath, Rock and (via ferry) Padstow.

Barn Cottage was gorgeous, well-appointed, with a spacious lounge and kitchen/dining area and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped too if you like cooking. We had some great walks with our dogs, from the door, to several beautiful beaches. Enjoyed a lovely meal at Salt and Samphire in St Merryn, and drinks with a view at Trevose Country Club. We really enjoyed our short break. One thing to note, with it being an 'upside down' house, the living areas are up so if you are wanting to stay with young children or the elderly, there are stairs to negotiate to get the bathroom/toilet or to the garden.

Location was perfect! Easy access to Carbis Bay and a short walk into St Ives. The view was amazing. Lori was fabulous to deal with. Very responsive and flexible.

Loved our stay, everything was beautifully presented and our American friends standards were surpassed too. House had everything we needed, showers were great and beds were really comfortable. We loved Charlestown local eateries too, but recommend you book in busy seasons. Highly recommend this house and location.

Valerie’s house was everything we were hoping for and more. The setting is beautiful with a gorgeous wrap around garden. We only occupied the ground floor which in itself felt like the perfect home for the three of us plus our dog. Each room was beautifully furnished with an en suite for each bedroom. We cannot recommend it enough and very much hope we get to stay there again. Perfect pre- Christmas celebration with our family.

From the first communication at the pre-booking stage through to our departure after our wonderful stay, Michelle was so friendly, helpful and responsive. The property was spotlessly clean and spacious and the perfect place for our family party of 6 adults and a toddler. The online photos don’t do the house justice. The rooms downstairs have a good flow and the bedrooms are all a decent size. Nice private outside space too. The house is a short walk to the town and its beaches, but is very peaceful and quiet. Nothing was too much trouble for Michelle and her speed of response to my queries was both helpful and comforting, knowing that the house owner was always “on call” had we had any problems - which we didn’t! I can’t fault Michelle or her lovely house and I’d happily recommend Carn Galva House to anyone as a great base in fabulous St Ives. We’ve been visiting the area for many years and this is our best choice of property.

The property was very beautiful and clean. We had a child with us and the baby chair in the kitchen is very thoughtful. Lana and her daughter was very easy to get hold of. The experience was remarkable. Definitely recommended!

Mike and Helens home was the perfect homely base for our family Christmas. The house was decorated and with two log burners was very cosy and festive. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook for the whole family every night. The location is perfect for visiting places on the North and south coast and there is plenty of parking in the drive for 5 cars. The house is in a very quiet area, which was lovely and the airfield nearby is good for dog walks.

A fantastic stay and the property was exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The location is great. A few minutes walk from Newquay Town Centre and less than 10 mins walk to Fistral Beach through the middle of the golf course on a traffic free path. The host responded within an hour on both occasions I contacted her. I can’t fault anything. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Our stay was so comfortable thanks to Louise! The house was absolutely spotless, neat and we felt right at home. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful and so easy to drive out to different activities and locations. We had such an amazing time and we can’t thank Louise enough for sharing this lovely home with us! Very highly recommended xxx
