House vacation rentals in Mevagissey

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We used all the facilities apart from the outdoor pool. For two families of 4 we felt the accommodation was lovely, clean and homely with enough space to spend time together or separately. Great location for travelling out to other towns and activities and a handy tesco just up the road if you want to cook in the very well equipped kitchen. The owners were on-site, and very friendly. We would highly recommend this holiday home. Superb!

Matt and Chloe were great hosts, communicative and helpful. The house was lovely, modern, private and set amongst the trees. There was a great welcome basket waiting for us with visitor information, scones, jam and clotted cream, tea, milk in the fridge. The bathroom was great, with a good power shower. The beds were very comfortable with lovely bed linen. The weather was not so good but we did manage to use the pool, which was clean and a nice temperature. We visited: Port Isaac, Padstow, Rock, Bodmin jail. A great place to stay, we would not hesitate to book again in the future.

What a lovely stay we had, was sad to leave! Great touch with the scones on arrival. Al is very helpful, the hairdryer broke and it was replaced the same day, the folder with all local info and how to use everything is super handy! The place itself you couldn't ask for more, well equipped, clean, comfy beds and beautiful surroundings can hear the stream on the balcony and nice and private! Pub on site we ate in twice and the food was brilliant, went in the pub for live music twice too and everyone was friendly. Pools were clean, just had to book on the website. Great location to reach lots of areas, we loved Looe, Tesco down the road, we had a shop delivered when we arrived. Public transport is every two hours so we didnt use it as much as we wanted to, but we did do the train journey to Plymouth - well worth it - beautiful scenery! It was a fantastic weekend, lovely walks , near Padstow and beaches . Everything we needed was in the lodge for a group of over 60s ladies . Comfortable beds , extremely clean, great location . Thankyou so much . Will definitely recommend to others and we’ll be back

The house was very homely and really big and there was plenty of space to accommodate our family and we all had our own space. The house was in a great location- close to lots of beaches and walking distance to the local pub. James was very responsive and super helpful. Very good place to stay with a family.

We had a fantastic stay. Elga was a super host, very friendly and great communication. The facilities/amenities exceeded expectation. The welcome pack, pint of milk and condiments etc were lovely added touches. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous break in Cornwall, staying at Lorna’s property at Hengar Manor. The accommodation felt spacious and was equipped with everything you need for a short stay including kitchen items, towels, bedding (inc extra pillows) board games, and wifi - which was a big hit with our teens as phone signal is a bit weak in the area. Lorna provided really clear instructions for finding the property, checking in and checking out, and let us know about the new wifi password before we arrived. There was also information about local days out and attractions in the property, as well as opening times for the facilities on site. We didn’t use any of the facilities at Hengar Manor apart from a drink in the bar on our arrival as we spent all of our time visiting different parts of Cornwall. The site itself is lovely and clean, peaceful, and well kept. Would highly recommend for a family holiday to Cornwall and would return.

A lovely clean, bright, modern property with all the essentials you need. All rooms were a reasonable size and the house was lovely and warm. There is room for two cars to park at this property. The hot tub is a lovely extra (although it is tucked round the side of the property) and we enjoyed using it along with the indoor pool. We also made use of the BBQ and outdoor seating with some late afternoon sun. The location is ideal for exploring the local amenities, towns, villages and beaches and having Talland Bay beach, cafe and the hotel (food is a bit pricey) near by was great.

Sunshine Cottage was a delight to stay in over Christmas. Robyn had provided extra festive touches to welcome us and her directions made the parking much simpler than we initially thought. The cottage is really well stocked so everything we need to cook full Christmas meal. Wood burner very effective at keeping us warm - hardly needed the additional radiators. Porthleven as a destination was perfect - lovely atmosphere and we were so close to the harbour, pubs, beautiful walks. Plenty of open spaces for the Labrador. Only comment really is Sunshine Cottage was okay for 3 adults, 4 adults would be tight with the bunk bed and headroom. Great time had thank you Robyn.

We had a great time, everything we needed was ready to use and all clean. BBQ was a great addition, 15 min walk from centre of Newquay so restaurants we easily accessible. Beaches were close and there are some great views from some of the bed rooms! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again, Thankyou

A lovely cottage close to the coastal path. Many beautiful beaches and towns within easy reach; we could explore a lot in just a few days. It's the ideal place if you want to immerse yourself in nature, while being able to access nice pubs/restaurants. Highly recommended!

We would definitely recommend staying at Penlee cottage. You have a shared drive with the owner on site, and your own private cotttage and terrace area. It’s so peaceful here but still has places to eat and drink within walking distance or a short drive away. The welcome pack was very informative. We did the coastal walk to mevagissey which was lovely. Gorran Haven is not overrun with tourists but is a good central point to visit lots of tourist hotspots. During our stay we also visited lands end, the Minack theatre, mousehole and the Eden project all in one day! We also had a dip in the sea, just a very short walk from Penlee cottage which was an added bonus. The cottage has an additional shower room downstairs which was ideal for washing the sand off without trialing it upstairs to the bathroom. Steve is a lovely man with a great sense of humour. He is a perfect host as he is there if you need anything, but also lets you get on with your holiday, privately. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay in this clean self contained property. It’s private and well located for all amenities. The shower room is very nice with constant hot water. The lounge is comfortable and relaxing with a well supplied kitchen. The floors are cool so bring your slippers or something warm. Overall this is a great property, run by nice people and we’d definitely stay again.

Our third visit. Very comfortable with open-plan, sociable living/dining/cooking centre to the accommodation. Also, fantastic location from which to access the coastal path to get to Polzeath, Rock and (via ferry) Padstow.

Barn Cottage was gorgeous, well-appointed, with a spacious lounge and kitchen/dining area and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped too if you like cooking. We had some great walks with our dogs, from the door, to several beautiful beaches. Enjoyed a lovely meal at Salt and Samphire in St Merryn, and drinks with a view at Trevose Country Club. We really enjoyed our short break. One thing to note, with it being an 'upside down' house, the living areas are up so if you are wanting to stay with young children or the elderly, there are stairs to negotiate to get the bathroom/toilet or to the garden.

Location was perfect! Easy access to Carbis Bay and a short walk into St Ives. The view was amazing. Lori was fabulous to deal with. Very responsive and flexible.

Loved our stay, everything was beautifully presented and our American friends standards were surpassed too. House had everything we needed, showers were great and beds were really comfortable. We loved Charlestown local eateries too, but recommend you book in busy seasons. Highly recommend this house and location.

Nancy was a great host ,a lovely place with a nice garden/decking with a beautiful view and situated only a short walking distance to all the pubs/restaurants and beach . Would visit again.

Valerie’s house was everything we were hoping for and more. The setting is beautiful with a gorgeous wrap around garden. We only occupied the ground floor which in itself felt like the perfect home for the three of us plus our dog. Each room was beautifully furnished with an en suite for each bedroom. We cannot recommend it enough and very much hope we get to stay there again. Perfect pre- Christmas celebration with our family.

From the first communication at the pre-booking stage through to our departure after our wonderful stay, Michelle was so friendly, helpful and responsive. The property was spotlessly clean and spacious and the perfect place for our family party of 6 adults and a toddler. The online photos don’t do the house justice. The rooms downstairs have a good flow and the bedrooms are all a decent size. Nice private outside space too. The house is a short walk to the town and its beaches, but is very peaceful and quiet. Nothing was too much trouble for Michelle and her speed of response to my queries was both helpful and comforting, knowing that the house owner was always “on call” had we had any problems - which we didn’t! I can’t fault Michelle or her lovely house and I’d happily recommend Carn Galva House to anyone as a great base in fabulous St Ives. We’ve been visiting the area for many years and this is our best choice of property.

The property was very beautiful and clean. We had a child with us and the baby chair in the kitchen is very thoughtful. Lana and her daughter was very easy to get hold of. The experience was remarkable. Definitely recommended!

A fantastic stay and the property was exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The location is great. A few minutes walk from Newquay Town Centre and less than 10 mins walk to Fistral Beach through the middle of the golf course on a traffic free path. The host responded within an hour on both occasions I contacted her. I can’t fault anything. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Our stay was so comfortable thanks to Louise! The house was absolutely spotless, neat and we felt right at home. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful and so easy to drive out to different activities and locations. Well maintained house with garden and terrace. Very spacious and can comfortably accommodate seven guests. Kitchen is well equipped and appliances are brand new. We encountered some problems during our stay but Tom has been very responsive and easy to communicate.
