Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Metropolitan City of Palermo

Very very nice and individually furnished tasteful apartment, very very charming terrace overlooking the fruit garden and over the whole bay, we got a bottle of red wine to welcome us and were allowed to use oranges, lemons from the garden that were really delicious!! In Santa Flavia, which is also within walking distance, there are small original grocery stores and everything you need. There is also a train connection to Palermo during the day. Filippo picked us up in the village and dropped us off at the property. Very friendly, many helpful tips about Palermo and surroundings, he also sent us further information via WA on our demand for a good term. -- Highly recommended accommodation! We felt very comfortable!

nice holiday in early April 2025. The apartment is very nicely located, close to a beach. The south and west coast of Sicily are quite untouched and underdeveloped. You get a lot of tips from the host. He is always ready for you. We enjoyed visits to, among other things, selinonte, agrigento and sciacca. I recommend it! (as far as the shower is concerned: it is indeed somewhat inconvenient but there is plenty of hot (and hot) water. So not insurmountable). Grazie!

We were in Mondello in July 2024 and had a fantastic vacation. The beaches and the turquoise blue sea were stunningly beautiful. The apartment of our host Gabriella was just as beautiful as in the pictures, very clean and well appointed. We didn't lack anything. The terrace provides shade during the day and invites you to a glass of wine in the evening – simply beautiful. Gabriella is a warm and loving host who can always be reached by phone. A special experience was when we closed the front door in the middle of the night and the key was inside. We called Gabriella, and her husband came right away to help us. We are very grateful for that. Gabriella was always available for questions and useful tips. We felt very comfortable with her – it doesn't get any better than that. Roberto's villa is breathtakingly beautiful! We stayed as a family of all ages from kids to grandparents and everything was wonderfully thought out. Roberto was there to welcome us and his generosity was unsurpassed from helping with our first shop to local restaurant recommendations, we cannot thank you enough for making it such a wonderful trip! The pool was spotless and the layout great for a big group! The photos do not do this place justice. Would have loved to use the pizza oven, next time for sure...we cannot wait to return xx

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the view and the swimming pool. Giuseppe was very helpful and made local recommendations. Especially the bakery, ice cream shop and restaurant nearby we were happy with (S.Nicola), but also a lovely trip to Cefalú - where the restaurant A Paranza made delicious pizzas. Giuseppe also recommended good restaurants in Palermo. We would definitely recommend the place to others and would love to come back.

Great place, certainly designed to enjoy in hotter weather so outside areas can be enjoyed and not put away with the wind as was the case with us! Unfortunately came on a stormy weekend beyond everyones control. Recommend hiring a car if staying with Maia, only 15 min walk from train station but area isn’t particularly pedestrian friendly and trains arent too often/didnt run past 9pm. But none of this the hosts fault, an oversight by myself. Thanks for having us, seeing the ocean from the bedroom was definitely a highlight!

We had the best time here - Maurilio was so accommodating + friendly. He gave us great recommendations. About a 20minute walk to mondello beach, and about 20minutes in a taxi to Palermo centre - really easy to navigate. Villa was gorgeous - outdoor area was amazing with big pool, outdoor kitchen + dining area. Comfy beds, great shower! would recommend the villa to anyone. Thank you so much Maurilio!!

Even though I didn’t stay at Davide and Donatella’s place myself, my colleague Ismail did — and he said they were two of the kindest, most thoughtful hosts he’s ever met. Super helpful and easy to communicate with. They really go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The apartment is in the heart of Palermo’s historic Kalsa district, close to everything. It’s clean, quiet, comfy, with fast WiFi. Thank you, Davide and Donatella!

Sabrina was very responsive to messages. The house was beautiful and very centrally located. It was therefore easy to walk to restaurants.

Vincenzo's place has a good location just out of the centre of Palermo. It is clean, well furnished and has everything you will need for an extended stay. I was there for a month and found that I had everything that I needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the internet is fast and reliable. Although the apartment is small, the space is very well utilized. A great option for a comfortable stay in Palermo.

We had a great stay in Palermo. The apartment is very central and within easy walking distance of the main sights. Having a Lidl around the corner was very handy! Michelangelo was very helpful and friendly and gave us help about driving in and out of the ZTL which we would not otherwise have realised. The apartment was very clean, spacious and private. Lucia and her flat are both wonderful! It's right off the main drag, so there's no shortage of shops, restaurants, bars, sights, the Cathedral and Palazzo Normani, and the Kalsa and marina at the other end. Everything is walkable, including the Balaro market. But even being so centrally located, it is amazingly quiet. The photos here do not do it justice! The house was amazingly clean (we arrived as Lucia was cleaning), the kitchen is well-equipped. And then there are the two terraces!!! One off the kitchen, the other off the bedroom, both with great views. There are a lot of steps, but it's worth every one of them! I cannot recommend this flat highly enough.

Nice place, wonderful location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Valentina is an excellent host, always very quick to respond and very helpful letting us into the apartment well before the check in time. The neighborhood is very nice, not as busy as the touristic center but still in the heart of the city. Please be aware that the free parking is not on location but a few blocks away. Not a problem at all once Valentina sent us the location. We can highly recommend the apartment and it’s great host.

Leti was responsive and efficient from the moment we booked our stay. She organised a taxi from the airport and he was waiting for us. We had a couple of questions and she replied promptly. The view was wonderful and encompassed the whole of the bay and there was always something to see/going on. It could get a little noisy at night as the locals dined out exceptionally late -the restaurant was still receiving guests at 11pm! Thank you Leti

Giuseppe's apartment was great. Above all, the location: right in the heart of Ballarò, just a few blocks from a bustling old-school Sicilian market. Giuseppe was also extremely attentive. The apartment was newly renovated, clean, and stocked with water, cake, and coffee. We had a brief issue with the wifi that he personally came and sorted out immediately. Would absolutely recommend if you're looking for an authentic Palermo experience.

Annalisa and Stefano welcomed us in a friendly manner, with clear instructions and additional tips for the city. Check-in was straightforward, and we also found a free parking space nearby. The apartment is clean and tastefully furnished, with everything you need. It was a little noisy during the day because the house was being renovated, but that's probably just temporary. We felt very comfortable!

Fabrizio’s place is located in the center of Palermo. It is close to all main spots and next to the theater. It is well equipped with everything we need. It is clean and very comfortable. It makes us feel like home. Fabrizio is very helpful and answers all my questions. I definitely recommend his apartment if you choose to stay in Palermo.

We, a family with four children aged 6 to 17, had a wonderful week in Palermo in October. The area was pleasant, with relatively few other tourists, as well as plenty of nice restaurants, bars, specialty shops, and supermarkets. Based on various articles, we had low expectations for public transport, but bus lines like 101 and 806 were frequent and reliable.

The location was in the city center, the only downside was finding parking but that is not unique to this Airbnb! The rooms were spacious!
