Family-friendly vacation rentals in Metropolitan City of Palermo

Our stay in Gabriele's house went perfectly, the house is very well-equipped, clean and welcoming. Our host was particularly responsive to all our questions, responding precisely within a very short time! The kids were able to enjoy the outdoors, and even make a delicious lemonade with local produce. The house is very close to small beaches, a convenience store is located nearby. In short, nothing to say about this stay, we thank Gabriele.

Francesco and his wife were adorable, very welcoming and discreet. The accommodation is located in a perfect location on the beautiful Mondello beach. Everything is accessible on foot or by bus, with Palermo 15 minutes away. Francesco and his wife gave us a guided tour of the city. We warmly recommend this listing!

We (6 people) spent a week at Francesco's place the old farmhouse. A wonderful place to relax, away from stress and everyday life. Everything is there, from dishes, washing-up liquid and tea towels to a washing machine, table tennis, table football, pizza oven and a great, very well-maintained pool. In the surrounding towns you can find everything else you need, for example delicious cakes, regional cheese and very fresh fish. Francesco speaks English and is happy to give information about excursions, the history of the farm, olive cultivation and much more. We felt very comfortable there.

Wonderful hidden gem on the North Coast of Sicily! From booking to checkout, everything was brilliant. Marco kept in contact with us in the run up to our stay and when we arrived in Sicily we hired a car and drove to Sant'Ambrogio. The village is beautiful, with a wonderful square that overlooks the sea. It is a picture perfect Sicilian village. We visited in April and only one restaurant was open (2 more open from May onwards) and we had some great lunches and meals there and amazing local wine. I would highly recommend having a car if you stay here. The Villa is stunning and the rooms are big, very well decorated and good beds. The kitchen and lounge overlook the sea and the outside areas are great to catch the sun and relax, with stunning views. Great pool and outside space. Only thing to note is the pool isn't heated so we were not able to use it in April due to it being too cold. I imagine its great from June onwards.

Our family of four (including a 2.5 year old and an infant) was very fortunate to stay at Dario’s over Christmas and New Year’s. The location was excellent - in the heart of Cefalu, just a few blocks from the Duomo, the beach, and the bottom of La Rocco. It was fun to watch the holiday festivities just below our balcony. The “spa” exceeded expectations and the kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped. Dario was friendly, attentive, and had great restaurant recommendations. We would love to return one day.

We had a wonderful 10-day stay at Casa Panoramica! The house sits on a hill with views to fields and olive groves below, all the way to the sea and gorgeous sunsets. It was such a luxury to heat up the jacuzzi and unwind at the end of each day of exploring western Sicily. We traveled with a baby, and the hosts were so kind to provide us with a travel crib, a high chair and quilts for playing on the floor. We also cooked most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen was well equipped, although the one thing that would have increased our comfort would have been a dishwasher. Margherita and Agostino were great hosts and made us feel very welcome!

We stayed a week in Davide's nice villa with magnificent views of the sea, mountains and valley. The villa was clean and fresh, big terrace and pool that was cleaned daily. With the villa as a starting point, we could with our rental car explore the nearby area which has a lot to offer. The beach in Alcamo is only 10 minutes away. The town is lovely genuine, few tourists and plenty of good restaurants. Possibility to visit winemakers can be found in the nearby area and excursions such as Segesta, Erice and San Vito are reached in under an hour. Davide was very helpful and provided recommendations and other help. Both check-in and checkout worked perfectly. We can give our all the warmest recommendations to this property!

What a special place! Historical, modern, spacious, very clean, well appointed, and just beautiful. We walked everywhere...to all the markets, restaurants, museums, and the botanical gardens. It was hard to leave. We hope to be back sometime soon. When we had a small problem with the lock (most likely user error), Angelo came over at nearly midnight to help us out. We can recommend this unit to everyone, including couples traveling together and families - truly spectacular!

Comfortable apartment and exquisite hospitality! The house has complete amenities, including a first aid kit in the bathroom. We enjoyed the fruit and sweets found on arrival and the almond pastries on departure. Above all, Antonella has always been responsive to small problems that we solved without any particular inconvenience. Only negative note: the apartment is on the second floor without an elevator and the particularly steep stairs made it tiring to carry luggage. In general we are very satisfied and recommend the property to those who want to visit Palermo and its surroundings on foot.

Fiorella warmly greeted us and showed us the space. The space itself was incredible - 3 private terraces! In a great location in downtown Palermo. It is a charming old building which means heat only in bed rooms and some quirky electrical things which was not a problem for us at all. We hope to come again!!!

This place is such a gem! It’s super convenient with plenty of space for two. The location is amazing and the unit having an quick access to the train was a huge plus. Thank you for everything, we will be back!

Well equipped and well decorated apartment. Ideally located for visiting Palermo and its surroundings. Parking in the yard is a plus! The terrace is a plus even if access is not easy. Great rental and a great host!

Beautiful, comfortable modern accomodation

Vincenzo's place has a good location just out of the centre of Palermo. It is clean, well furnished and has everything you will need for an extended stay. I was there for a month and found that I had everything that I needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the internet is fast and reliable. Although the apartment is small, the space is very well utilized. A great option for a comfortable stay in Palermo.

The location was in the city center, the only downside was finding parking but that is not unique to this Airbnb! The rooms were spacious!

This place was wonderful. It was homey and spacious and tastefully decorated. It was also perfectly located for visiting the historic center. I loved the wooden floors and marble staircases. For the size, it was an incredible value. For summer, there is air-conditioning. On the downside, the bathrooms and kitchen hadn't been updated. However, the bathtub on the second floor was huge and worth luxuriating in. The kitchen was tiny, but we didn't use it. We might have if the host had supplied a coffee maker and some coffee, which was done in the other apartments in Sicily we rented. Because we had trouble finding a nearby market, so we had breakfast in a café on the main street. A list of nearby services would have been welcome. Finally, as others have noted, there is some noise from the bar downstairs, especially on the weekend--even in March. We didn't mind it, but I imagine that in summer with windows open, it might be a problem. I would rent here again in a heartbeat.

Lorenzo's small house is ideally suited to explore Cefalu and its surroundings! Cozy, very clean and tidy in the house, just right for 2 people ! Cozy sofa with wonderful views, terrace and garden as well and then the pool! Unfortunately, it was still too cold to swim in April, but we would have liked to - Lorenzo keeps everything clean and inviting! Sitting outside the cottage, enjoying the view, relaxing - very relaxing even without swimming in the pool! Secure parking on the premises, a few steps up and you're there. Lorenzo is a great host! Always available for questions, very accommodating and helpful - we felt very comfortable with his support! Cefalu has a lot to offer - about 30 minutes' walk to the center, only 5 by car. Parking is easily accessible - day ticket on the promenade 12 euros. From here, various destinations - old town, sandy beach, hike to La Rocca, culinary specialties in wonderful restaurants! ?

This house is in a beautiful and quiet spot. Flavia will give you great recommendations to local restaurants and shops. As it says in the listing, you do really need a car here as you're not even in a village, but when you do have a car you then have easy access to Cefalù, Parco delle Madonie and smaller local towns. This was an emergency three night stay for us, as we had a cancellation elsewhere, but the house ended up being our favourite of the three places we stayed. The house itself has beautiful tiles throughout (no doubt due to Flavia's ceramicist father), an excellently stocked kitchen equipment cupboard, comfortable furnishings and wonderful outdoor spaces. Flavia even arranged for the pool to be opened early for us. She was one of the best Airbnb hosts I have met. Thank you!

Beautiful villa, wonderfull host and gorgeous location. Couldn't fault the villa, and our stay. Margarita helped us navigate to the villa when we arrived and work out the WiFi to keep the kids happy. Can't fault our stay. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the view and the swimming pool. Giuseppe was very helpful and made local recommendations. Especially the bakery, ice cream shop and restaurant nearby we were happy with (S.Nicola), but also a lovely trip to Cefalú - where the restaurant A Paranza made delicious pizzas. Giuseppe also recommended good restaurants in Palermo. We would definitely recommend the place to others and would love to come back.

Our stay at Lilli's house was just perfect....Lilli organized everything well...Directions... reception by Giovanni ....small provisions....communication also great with her....responds immediately....the house is a small gem and the garden with the many exotic trees, the view of the mountains, the great pool, the tranquility, just wonderful. Giovanni is the good soul of the estate and always has a tip in stock...the surroundings are great, especially we liked the ornate Parrini. Thanks Lilli for the super hospitality! We had a wonderful time, and loved your pool. Hope to come back sometime....

This is a gem of a place located just in between Santa Flavia and Bagheria, just 20km from Palermo. It is an ideal place to stay on a quiet and large nature-filled property. Everything matches the description and my wife and I had a great and relaxing time. During the day we would drive around and sights in the area or take the train which is 20 mins away from downtown Palermo. But at night we could retreat to peace and quiet and be surrounded by nature -- cactuses, trees, etc. Marida, the host, was incredibly friendly and incredibly helpful -- she greeted us during check-in and spoke to us at length about many things to do in the area and was incredibly warm and wonderful. She was so kind, I felt like I had family nearby (she and her husband also live in a separate house on the property). The dog, BonBon who is a St. Bernard was always there too to greet us with enthusiastic love, and the 2 cats also were always vigilant and kept watc. We loved our this place and want to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Marco’s place. The villa was perfect for our family trip. The pool was cold as it was April but we managed a few swims! We were so impressed with the thoughtfully stocked fridge - really felt at home straight away.

This Airbnb is one of the best I have ever booked. The atmosphere is great and the flat is simply cosy and authentically furnished. We would have loved to move in immediately. Great hosts who give recommendations for the surrounding area. We will definitely be back.
